I think Fight Club is a bad movie.

(inb4 a brodude tells me I broke the first rule of fight club)

I wouldn't say that's spreading hate unless people are super sensitive snowflakes who take offence for any minor jibe.

If I was to say "Blame the Yanks for McDonald's." I'm not spreading hate or implying offence other than the use of the word "blame" which in this case could be a humorous substitute for "thanks" (as I happen to really like McDonald's).
I kinda agree that sometimes, it's not known a specific group of people who have done something. But people then say "all members are awful"

Cheese does not go well with eggs. It doesn't go well with chicken or broccoli. Keep cheese with pasta and pizza please.

The credit and debit cards with chips in them are horrendous. Can we please go back to just swiping the cards? When Starbucks didn't use chip readers, I could send 30+ people through the drive thru in half an hour by myself, taking orders and being at the window. Now that we have a chip reader, I'll be lucky to get 27-28 in 30 minutes. It shouldn't take 30-45 seconds to read a card. It should be instantaneous. Put the chip in, take it out. That simple, that quick

On that note. Airplane! wasn't funny.

Just because someone regarded as bad said something doesn't mean it's a bad idea. Yes sure Hitler had many awful ideas but if there was one that was good then people often dismiss it as 'Hitler said it'.

I don't know which country you're in but here in the UK most large shops have already gone contact-less saving lots of time at the till. Admittedly the security issues can be a concern but it's so fast to make a payment that I often feel awkward.

The problem is that we're in this weird Hokey and/or Pokey stage with credit cards, when the rest of the world naturally does the Hokey Cokey. Some of the dance floors have tape over the Tokey part, so we're even more confused.

You can say that again. You know that guy who 'accidentally' bumped into you on the train? Well he was carrying a contactless reader and stole £29.99 off you.

And that, ladies and gents, is why I don't business with public transport unless absolutely necessary. It's hard for scammers, or anyone for that matter, to pull a scam on a moving bicycle.

I think the way how 'Yank' is used is stupid.

Us Americans should start a movement to blanket term all of England as one part of England.

Saying "England" to mean Great Britain or the United Kingdom is already enough. Many foreigners are astonished to learn that despite my British passport I wasn't born in England and I have never lived in England.

No you were born in a place with more sheep than people and famous for archery.

I find it quite sad that this is the case. The Chinese the word for "Britain" is just "England". If one is Scottish or Irish they may use a separate word to refer to their country but are still generally perceived to be English since they are from Britain which is called England. I've never heard the term for Wales or if one even exists, though I'm sure it does.

You're Welsh, correct?

Ken
There's another way to eat cereal?

Without milk of course. :sly:

Really, I don't like eating cereal with milk.

Cereal on one side, and a glass of milk on the other? Yes. Combined? No, no.

I'll have you know I identify as a Liquifluid North Welsh Namekian.

Therefore I have no reproductive organs but have an odd attachment to mutton.

Same goes for saying Yank when not everyone in America is from the Northeast/New England.

It never fails to call someone British, because you're technically not wrong unless they're from Ireland.

You do. Limey, brits, redcoats etc.

Brit = British = Born or lived on the island of Great Britain
Yank = Yankee = New Englander (or even generally the North), not the whole population of 'Muricans.

I feel like know Americans are completely uneducated about the difference between England, Great Britain, and the United Kingdom.
