Which unreleased GT6 features you want most?

  • Course Maker

  • B-Spec

  • Shuffle Racing

  • Mobile App Companion

  • More tracks/real cars DLC

Results are only viewable after voting.
I wouldn't mind the companion app (if it's good and it comes to Android), but I really miss Shuffle racing :( I only started playing GT6 online recently and quick matches are cool (despite the stupid penalty system), but I'm already bored.

Hop in a serie or club. There's all kinds of from my own endurance serie, to weekly clubs that meet up for random races, cruisers etc etc.

Isn't this the reason we are all here on gtp? :)

Voted for more tracks/cars. Until proven otherwise, I don't have faith that the course maker will have enough options. Would love to see multiple location settings - city, track, country side, etc.

Let's see what we got here.

B-spec - too late because I bought everything in the game and Quick Matches shower me with cash so there goes my motive of using it. Watching dumb AI (faster on some tracks but mostly it looks bad) is one of the most boring things I have ever did in GT4 and I don't look to do the same in GT6.

If PD updates the AI then maybe but I don't see it happening. So no - don't care about B-spec.

Course Maker - well I don't have a skate board with 1 cm accurate GPS installed so I'm out :p. Honestly though I think they will cancel it or it's downgraded as hell. Personally I don't understand the appeal and hype but once it lands I will see what it's all about. It's intriguing to see the excitement in others.

Shuffle Racing - sounds fantastic and I want it 👍 It was never mentioned by anyone from PD though. It was in GT5 and it was used by many so ok - I can see how one can expect it.

Mobile App companion - what it does ? Anyway I'm not very much into mobile apps for consoles games so not looking forward to this one.

More tracks/cars - paid or free I take it

____________

Aerodynamics model and sound update should be there too. Maybe OP assumed those two have no chance of being included ? That could be true but then we have shuffle racing which was never mentioned or listed anywhere so there's a bit of inconsistency here.

From everything that can be somehow-reasonably expected I would like the sound update and shuffle racing.

I still see sound update using their new sound generation system being rolled out for all or lots of cars in GT6. (only premium?)

In the end they did said "actually for GT6 we are working on a entirely new way of generating sounds (now we know what this means) - not sure it'll be ready on launch though".

The system CAN work very well in GT6 producing sound on entirely different level as shown with Viziv. There's no need to record each car - it's a system and one huge advantage of a system is production speed. That's why I still think it can happen.

So...I'm waiting :D

I'm in the course maker camp. Could care less about watching Bob run crappy hot laps and I think we have enough cars for now. I really want the gps thing, but I guess you need the course maker first seeing as the gps thing is a feature of the course maker.

I'm tentatively voting for the course maker, though that's provided there's a reasonable level of editability. I'd love to create a replica of ICAR Mirabel upon which I could practice.

I've never understood the desire for B-Spec mode personally. Do people really want to have the game play itself?

I voted for Course Maker. If B-spec bought more actual endurance races I'd be happy, but at this stage, I'm not sure what B-spec would add to the game.

I have to say Course Maker.

But why is taking this long for everything on the list to appear ?

I highly doubt PS3 being overwhelmed especially when you compare it to other Racing Games that have done more on the same console or even less powerful Consoles outside of visuals.

GT7 is the most believeable reasonable but this is just messing up Priorities. If GT6 was first then you should try to finish it instead of working on something else. It's like if I wrote a Popular Fan Fic that was always on time and fast paced on Chapters but progress got very slow and there were delays so I can work on another. My 2nd could even fail if people started getting disinterested in the 1st. GT looks to be falling in the same hole.

"Outside of visuals" is the key of course because those visuals chew up a huge chunk of the PS3's GPU and CPU power and there isn't as much left for everything else. Since they can't go backwards with the visuals to include new features they are constantly bouncing up against the limits of the hardware and I think that's the issue with the Course Maker or it would be here already.

I didn't vote because I don't care anymore. GT is losing fans, support, and respect on a daily basis. It's been over a year since GT6 was released with all these "promised" features that we already had some version of in GT5.

GT5 and GT6 has showed PD's true colors, and now trying to force long time fans and supporters on to expensive Thrustmaster equipment, with pCARS right around the corner the only things that's going to keep me from selling my PS4 and permanently switching to PC is support for my G27.

I would have went for B-spec if we had decent endurance races. We don't so I went for the course maker.

What games are you talking about?

Hmm, they didnt break the promise yet or did they?

And why did GT5/6 show PD´s true colour? Because they updated the game for years with new features and patches which they couldnt do with GT4? Because they made everything better in GT5 than in GT4 and added a ton of new features?

Forza 4, GRID Autosport, TOCA Race Driver 2 and 3 for example. They do a lot more besides Visuals which @Johnnypenso helped pointed out thats what taken out of most of the hardware.
OK, really, how do you come to the conclusion that GRID Autosport, TOCA Race Driver 2 and 3 do more than GT5 oder GT6?

TOCA Race Driver 2 and 3 has Rally, Rallycross and Normal Racing and is expanded upon. There is around 80 real world tracks in the game in 3 including many exclusive real world tracks for a home console game (Various DTM, V8 Supercar, Britsh GT, Rally and Rallycross Stages come to mind). Up to 21 Cars on a Grid that is customizable to your choice (instead of a 16 Randomize Grid). 3 Offers up various types of Racing ranging from: Classic, Oval, GT, Touring, Open Wheel, TMS and Lawnmowers . Better A.I. Damage. 3 has Multi-Class Racing. More vintage F1s than just Sennas. Non-online Qualifying. Difficulty Settings I really could go on but it'll lead to nitpicks.

As for GRID Autosport; Better A.I, Damage, Flashback, Cleaner online, Car customization (though it is online only), Qualifying, Various Race Options, Multiple Racing variety including; Touring, Endurance, Open Wheel, Street and Tuner. Drift Events like actual Drift Events in real life. Difficulty Setting.

Only thing GT5 and GT6 have over them is More Cars, More Tracks (GT6 Case), Course Maker (GT5 Case) and Visuals.

So
-GT has over thousend cars in opposite to 80 or so cars in toca/grid.
-In GT you dont only get racecars but normal cars also
-GT has a huge amount of tracks too (and they are not only made using topographical gps data).
-GT has day/night cycle
-GT has car customisation, e.g. changing rims, putting spoilers etc.
-GT has an fully customisable online mode
-GT actually has good physics
-GT has/will have a track creator
-GT has tuning
-GT has tons of music
-and on and on and on...

GT has just another scale! For sure are there little things that are missing (like customised grid etc.) but GT is really huge compared to those games you mentioned - and on top of that you get good visuals and fantastic (premium) car models ;)
And dont come with standard cars, thats visuals and the premium car count is still waaay bigger than all those games together :sly:

Physics can't really be compared since the games I mentioned are Simcade.

The cycle is nice but unless you're doing an endurance, it seems a bit more of a day or night choice used in GRID Autosport.

Until the Track Editor comes, GT5 will only be taken to account for that.

I forgot to mention Engine Sounds are better in TOCA/GRID. Both TOCA and GRID also have normal cars, they are just more race car focused so they only have to more popular Road Cars.

The car list is very nice but it is hard to think to use more than 10 especially when the Campaigns regulations of events are very open as well as Car upgrades available.

While others easily differ, I am not impressed with Visuals as I'm usually okay with 480p and GT4 styled cars.

When I look at the games I can never see myself playing GT6 again because the Racing is a bore (especially those 🤬 rolling starts) unless you go online which IMO is cleaner and easier to access in GRID: Autosport.

B-Spec. But only if that means Endurance races return and B-Spec means multi driver stints work and AI that can at least try to race.

I voted B Spec but I'm more interested in the GPS course creator/GPS. However, I suspect I'll use the course creator 2 or 3 times to make some local tracks. It'll be similar to how I used GT5. I made half a dozen tracks but used B spec most days to gain me money whilst I did other things. I only get to play about 5 hours a week and 2 or 3 of them are online racing, so I want B Spec so that I can buy all the cars that I want.

Edit:What would be cool with the course maker and GPS app would be if people can share courses that they've made. So people that live near to and drive on real tracks could save those and we could all drive on them. That way we could get an awful lot of real tracks in no time.

Of course, I'm also assuming that the course creator will somehow create the relevant scenery like at the Sierra course.
