I'm actaully lucky...I only have to shave every other day. I've tried to grow a goattee. Took me a week, and pathetic couldn't describe it.

I shave first down, then up. and it's always in the same pattern of strokes. I can make a five pack of razors last a month easily.

My wife on the other hand...she goes through a 5-pack every three days...for the same reasons as Tatinee.

I shave horizontally.

If I must choose, both. I feel I can go at least 2 weeks when I shave both, but when i shave just up or down, I have to shave every 10 days.

I shave in a downwards fashion.

For those of you that shave both up and down, what kind of razor do you use? A disposable bic?
I use the Shick Tracer FX, one of those dual blade jobbies. Works wonders, a little on the expensive side, about $1.10 per blade, but they last a while and the time I save it's worth the little extra cash.
Anyone use an electric?
