Na. They are known as restrictor plates swell as tunable ECUs. Maybe not on this level of reduction but HP reduction happens all the time.
 
They've changed the colours of the cars in the UCD yay

How is it unrealistic? All the new engines are computer controlled and can be manipulated by laptops in real life.

All cars in GT aren't modern for one thing. And you can't punch in "239hp" into a laptop anyway. Doesn't work like that even for modern cars. GT5 1.05 was better. It made you at least think a little.

Update is now downloading for me in the US.

So for everyone in the states or Canada you should be able to proceed with the download. 👍
 
PP will be a lot better...........closer to GT5 Prologue online........which I personally thought worked better with the PP points as it makes a closer race

Ok less money but more XP is what i picked up from doing Indy American championship. Previously 117000 cr. Now 97000. XP is raised from 4000 to 18950.
 
Yup... Toronto has decided to come online :)
 
Unfortunately you can't edit B-Spec names yet, but there is a new green box with an arrow in it pointing to the driver name as you cycle through them

Performance Points is a feature in GT5 prologue, come back at the update 1.06 this time, know what it is but cant explain it cos my poor english

That's a sizable XP increase!

It makes sense, too, because most people are practically finished with credit grinding (due to the duping). I welcome the extra XP, as I've still got a ways to go in A-spec levels.

How is it unrealistic? There are many, many forms of motorsport where the engines have 'restrictors' put on them.

For instance, we can finally have 'restrictor plate' racing in NASCAR now :D

You're right! Finally, the physics are great (on a wheel) but the speed wacked it up. Now Daytona and Indy will be perfect minus the uber draft!
