£329.00 gosh
I'm glad i only payed £150 for my G25 now, not worth twice the price in my book or 3 times for those that got the G25 under £100

Guys, check this out.. am I seeing things? its the same price as G25.. 300 bucks.. and the most important thing.. under G25 it clearly states you get shifter, and pedals, under G27 you only get the wheel? When I click on G27, it states of pedals in over view.. but why the same price? Don't really tell me its 300 bucks for wheel alone.

Of course the shifter is included, the reviews would have been going nuts if the shifter was an addon.

Package Contents

o Logitech® G27 Racing Wheel
o Gas, brake, and clutch pedals
o Shifter module
o Power supply
o Software CD-ROM
o User documentation
o 1-year limited hardware warranty

Im not so sure the G25 user looking an upgrade will get the same value buying a G27.

I agree, but I dont really think a G25 user would get their moneys worth buying a Fanatec wheel either. The G25 is still a good wheel and the G27 or any of the Fanatec wheels is barely an upgrade at all.

I wouldn't pay too much attention to the RRP, it may release for that, but it wont last long. This is one advantage the G25 and I'm hopinh the G27 will have. You can walk into a shop and buy it at the price they will give you. None of this you can only order online stuff. I bought a G25 for $350AUD from a computer shop when the RRP was still $500AUD.

G25 to Fanatec is Barely an upgrade at all?

If you wach Sim Racing Tonight, FM2 VS GT5Prologue, they test Prologue with G25, then they move to Porsche Turbo S wheel, and they mention is like day and night, it makes so much .. I have G25 and RS wheel, it really is like day and night. SO fanatc is worth it, I think G27 is worth the money as well over G25. Buttons on the wheel, quiet wheel is WIN!

People keep saying this, but please ellaborate. In what way is it like day and night, it's a bit quieter and smoother, but whats also is so amazingly different.

How to explain this..
Lets compare smoothness
G25 is DFP (old wheel)
Fanatec is like G25
HUGE improvement on smoothness, you don't have to fight against the wheel, easier to drift, feedback is precise, on wheel options to switch feedback, degree of turn, vibration, with PC sims you can turn on cool vibration options, ABS wheel lock brake vibration, as well simple but good lcd screen. It just feels so much natural, from holding it to driving and feeling the feedback. If you just play Gran Turismo , sure G25 is good enough, or DFP, but if you really enjoy sim racing games, fanatec is way to go.

Is that so? I have a G25 and a crappy M$ Wireless wheel. I´m thinking about replacing them both with a single Fanatec wheel, as that is the only wheel compatible with both X360 and PS3, I think. Is it?

I'm also saving up for possibly the Fanatec Turbo S Clubsport, just so I have 1 wheel for all platforms, and I like the look of the Clubsport pedals and the larger wheel..

I'd like to see a G27 Vs Turbo S review though before parting with the cash!

Now how can you say the GT3RS Clubsport isnt an upgrade over a G25 man that aint true.
Your welcome to find me a review worth reading that concludes as much, sure both have their own benifits, but in quality and other features mentioned before that the Fanatec has not to mention the fantastic Clubsport pedals with the load cell brake and vibrating brake feature unique at this price point.
Not only that but come the Turbo S and you can play FM3 with these pedals too and its expected to include the vibrating brake feature. Some of us yes have already decided to have both the GT3RS and Turbo S and swap over the wheel. Personally i think i will prefer the GT3RS for PC stuff.

The benifits of the GT3RS CSP package ARE a BIG upgrade for a G25 user, i dont know how you claim otherwise.
As Nox stated above PC sims will likely show the wheels at their best, but do not for one moment think a PS3 user with GT5P doesnt get benifits over a G25 they still do...

True Logitech products will likely get reduced by online suppliers, no surprise their this is the advantage of Logitech and buy off the shelf. Yes Fanatec its pre order at higher prices, thats just the way it is, that has nothing to do with comparing the wheels as to which is best, its only a value for money consideration and ease of purchase. Yes indeed Fanatec will cost more and a GT3RS Clubsport package will take longer to have delivered but still offers a better more equipped wheel and pedals over the extra cost of a G27.

Previously youve been hyping this G27, ive told you before it was likely not to be much better than G25. You persisted with your hopes.
Not only that but as reviewers are pointing out the loss of sequential is a sore point for some and the "lights" are not seen as a great addition, too low for starters as SRT commented. Additionally the SRT review scores against the G25 are very similar, and i do not recall them stating that the G27 new gears although smoother and quieter including the new gearbox which is smoother and quiter also was a massive jump in performance. They in fact concluded as I told you would likely be the case that the G27 was an an evolutionary G25.

SRT did not however contest the G27 to a GT3RS and perhaps if viewers would like to see that then they should contact SRT for a future possible video showdown.

To this point Fanatecs biggest issues has been PC drivers. Once Thomas gets these completely sorted then and I assume personally the Turbo S could become the best scored wheel on SRT. Besides Xbox compatibility is also a big desired feature.
