Just picked it up and I'm stuck at work. The manual is short and sweet but well done as usual.

Beyond the Apex is included on the BluRay disc only and not available online as a download.
 
do you guys have new cars like the Peugeot and RE Amemiya?
Is the Weezer video the real intro?
Which is your in-game manual version please? :)
 
Might take him some time to find out if he has to sit through 3 hours of failed updates like I did with the EU version lol
 
Sorry guys, I'm still stuck at work. Won't be home 'til 6:00 p.m. EST. I did check the back of the manual for manufacturer's credits and there were none there. They must all be credited at the end of the game.

If anyone else is playing already please post any info you have here. As soon as I get to play I'll post anything interesting I find.
 
oh man, I cannot wait for 5PM to come, then I get to play, i should be online within an hour of me starting to actually play, I need to get something decent, no less than an Integra Type R, didnt seem like too bad of a car in HD, for something FF
 
well i just put it the game in.. and yes the intro is the weezer video...dont see the Peugeot or the RE amemiya. i do see the IS F though
 
I got the update on the first try on the us version. Also, I dont see any peugeots or reamemiya's anywhere. And yes, it has the weezer intro in it.

i knew it was the US intro when i first saw it ! :cool:
the other thin lizzy and mars volta trailers were just replays (without the artistic black filter).

i guess your in-game manual version is 2.10 just like us.
 
< rips COD4 out of the ps3. My girlfriend just got me my copy, and now she has no boyfriend for a little while!!!! Shame I let my friend borrow my DFP, and it's about 140 miles round trip to get it. :(

yup just the regular IS F.. wasnt sure if they took that out or not..

and what do you mean by the in-game manual version..?? i know i had to update and now it says spec2 if that means anything lol

the Tuned IS F was supposed to be here together with five other cars, but our friends at PD decided to remove them without further explanation. i believe they ran out of time to complete their modelling. whatever we'll probably grab them later. in Autumn maybe. now i'm looking forward to the Korean release. :D

About the game version, it is written on the bottom left of your game's Manual mode.

Spec II is version 2.0, now we have the supercharged Spec II kind of :)

forget about it! different gamesaves names will prevail this.
 
Yeah I was thinking since the first time I saw that movie, it could be the NTSC-USA intro, it has what we in Spain see as the american-style with those Daytona captures, those cars with more agressive drivings and that song. On some parts that intro makes the game look more arcade, but on some other parts like the Ford Focus one after the jump.. is where I like the changes.

Happy for all you on US who have the copy my friends. Still left more releases??? didn't knew about a Korean one. Which ones still left ?

I know I'm from the UK but I assume the US version will be similar in that no it doesn't recognise the JPN game save data.

yes pal, it had the big Star-Spangled Banner :D
specific camera works and the incar view that is not available on regular replays. ;)

did someone tried to place the gamesaves files from a version to another version's folder yet? it worked once on PS2, but gamesaves are probably encrypted now and it will not work as easily.

in Unreal 3 (before update 1.1) you could put a mod file from a version to another version using the gamesave folder name change trick though.
