Thanks!

I thought about this a very long time ago as I use motion steering.

The only problem with most wheels that are compatible with PS4 / PS5 is that they pedals need to connect direct to the wheel base to register on a console so I don't think it would work even with an adapter lead that is used for PC connections.

If I remember rightly though, I am sure there was an accessibility controller made which was a set of pedals for character movement in other games, maybe that could be configured to work as pedals, it just wouldn't have the same feeling without modding it though, I can't find it though.

Maybe a flight sim pedal set would work as they connect direct to the console, but again, they would need to be modded to make it feel like car pedals.

Don't see why that wouldn't work, but the only downside is if you don't have a PC already then it is a massive expense, and would be cheaper to just buy a wheel and rig
Yes absolutely, but maybe he prefers the controler? or some special need.

You can use the controller and the Logitech G29 at the same time (or used to) as I found out to my cost.

Placed the controller next to me the put some food down after a pit stop, car kept turning left! Left a bag of Doritos on the controller… admittedly this was setup up as standard with triggers as the pedals and not gyro

Edit: Sorry - I realise you don’t want to have the wheel at all. And as others have pointed out, the pedals go through the base!

Using G29 pedals plugged to Ps5 via USB could be an option. Maybe using Drivehub and a cable adapter. I can do some research and evaluate costs :)
Thanks
