Used Car Mileage

I am just curious. What is the highest mileage you have seen on a car in the UCD? I have bought several cars with over 380,000. Just wondering if it can go any higher than that from the UCD because I have never seen it. Thanks

I have seen a few specimens with 399,xxxkms but none have topped the 400km barrier. One was the old Citroen 2CV '54 that came with an eye-popping 199pp.

I also have never seen above 3xx,xxx

I bought a jaguar e type that had about 360,xxx on it, and after engine rebuild it was down a whopping 45 hp

I found a Beetle that was like 399,998 or something close to it and I just HAD to drive those last couple of miles. only time I've ever driven that car.

I have never seen anything over 250, 000 myself, but then again, I haven't really looked for high mileage cars. Would be interesting to see what the highest ever found was tho.

I read an article yesterday about a guy who has done almost 3 million miles in his volvo in real life. The car's still going strong!

I have a carole deluxe with about 450,000 kilometres on the clock which translates to about 281,000 miles, that's my highest. Important to note which units you are using on this thread. Righto 👍 I'll go and look for the exact distance when I get a chance on the ps3.

Edit: my mistake, the carole had 399,499km followed by 3 e types between 370 and 350. giving it to bob tonight to break the 400 mark. Bit worried he might fall asleep though.

Just bought a Charger last night with 398,098 km, my new highest. Only car I've seen above 250,000 miles. I have about half a dozen above 240,000 miles so far... a 2000GT with 246,000, a 2CV, another Charger and an old Honda - thinking S800 but not sure. Don't remember what else right now.

Cars in the UCD are either in the 0km to 100,000km range or in the 300,000 to 400,000km range (i.e., nothing between 100,000 and 300,000km). Also, cars with more than 300,000km seem to have the exact same numbers (price, power, pp, etc.) as the same model with exactly 300,000km less (e.g., a car with 380,000km will be the same price and will have the same power as the same model with 80,000km on it).

So, a car with 305,000km would have no more need of an engine overhaul than one with only 5,000km.
