If PD gave us the ability to convert road cars to full race spec, then it'd be fine.
EDIT - Let me put it this way: Your Audi and BMW GT3 cars, do you want them to become rally cars? Do you expect them to beat Group C cars? If so, you're expecting too much of what the cars are. If you want those things, they are freely available to buy.

Uselles ? They are exactly the same or better as in GT5 . Once you did weight reductionin GT it was done forever in every tune and you couldn't revert it to stock. Now , you have an option to upgrade wr 1-2-3 or reverse it , but it stays as it is across all 3 tunes - there is a note in tuning screen - A/B/C ,same with engine power upgrade. Just read what is written on tuning tabs.

It happens only to engine upgrade and weight reduction. There is a note on that tabs in black letters > A/B/C and text explaining it. Just do the reading. Anything else - tires,mufflers ,brakes gearshifter .... does not carry on between tunes.

It is pretty poor design from PD though. Changing the stage of weight reduction or engine stage now doesn't need to be any different to changing an exhaust or Turbo. They can be turned on or off easily so should be able to be individually set in different tuning sheets. It's not a game breaker but it does mean another work around for the user.

I wish they did but I still go by my statement. Especially when it comes to cars that don't have Road Car counterparts (LMP, HSV-010 for example).

No. This is just one mans opinion.

If I like the Audi R18 to go faster and not to keep it in some regulation, I should be allowed as I brought it.

You don't have to... You can tune it to do so. Suspension height, downforce especially can make it go as fast as a mid range at 80%....

Like others say, you expect too much putting too little thought into what the car can give you, not the upgrades you give it..
 
You're are correct @RESHIRAM5, but how is that representing motorsports? I don't even think anyone here besides a small hand full truly understand how to represent motorsports anymore. Everyone now has their own fashion or thoughts of what motorsports should be.
 
So if you bought, say, an Audi R18 in real life, would you put a top fuel engine in it and do some drag racing? Or would you pull the fenders off and enter the Dakar? If so, it wouldn't work, and quite frankly you'd get annoyed. But if you want to enter those things, BUY THE TOOLS FOR THE JOB. It's like complaining when you can't hit a nail with a soldering iron.

I always have 3 setups for each of my race cars tbh.

1. For my experience.
2. For SSRX
3. For the REAL Motorsport experience,

Sometimes I don't have 3 because the real race car doesn't actually feel like what I hear about it and sometimes I don't have 1 because the car sucks like that.
 
Race brakes still lockup with street tires as they should, not so much with race tires. Regular brakes don't lockup at all with street. Match your brakes with your tires.

Are you hearing the reactions from people whom actually drove those cars at speed and that own them or from people who believe how they should react?
 
If someone thinks the car is great as it is, that's fine (I think so too) but if someone wants to try something on the car or thinks the car feels better that way, that should be ok too.

Heck no I wouldn't. The car is built for Le Mans, said by doctor Ulrich Baretzsky himself... There is a saying "there is a time and place for that and this is not the place or the time" this applies where time is the vehicle..

And I don't understand your metaphor either, as what we are trying to get to you is that. You expect to use the upgraded or production car for different purposes other than intended to... That's what we are saying, not you according to your previous posts...

But the point is, you expect too much from the car, than what you can get from stock. T seems that the general trend for GTP is that when I doubt, bitch it out...

No, I wouldn't do it in real life (it might do some weird things) but in a game, yeah.
 
People have forgotten that GT represent motorsports, which is driving a street car on the track to it's limits, running a race car to it's limits. But how can you truly know what the limits are if you have already pushed it pass it limits? Yes, you can take the parts off the car and see what it will do but then you feel it's to slow because all the parts are off and then you have a false sense of its limits.

I feel it to be slow. Fastest I've ever gone IRL is 145 in a bit of some woods but track, and it is soo fast compared to GT. I think it's just that the sound of the transmission whine is too loud versus the engine, in which the transmission just repeats itself 5-7 times over..
 
To extend my analogy further, you can modify the soldering iron as much as you want, but it will never be a hammer.
 
That's the one BIG trouble with GT for some, a false sense of speed. I've hit 175mph in a race cars before, I've reached 220mph in a street car before, I've even been at MACH 2.5 seating in the back of a CAT and MACH one in a T38. There is a big difference in sight of speed than feeling speed.

No were not, the cars have slowed down. And the changes have changed people outlook on the game or sim as I see it.
 
The down-force for the R18 is a MUCH BETTER. You can remove even more down-force now. 👍:p

The source of the discussion being the inability to select a Med or High RPM turbo kit has no bearing on whether or not you should be able to purchase the parts, only the ability to use what has been selected

The grass seems unaffected by the off-road slowing down mechanic.
 
I have more reporting on the Nissan GT-R supercars. I had a few friends to help with the analysis. Some of them think that there's a torque-split issue that's causing the severe oversteering. From a standstill when accelerating the car is said to start like a RWD, severe cooking of the rear tires and a sluggish launch. In low speed corners getting on the throttle sends the car in instant oversteer. At higher speeds the car is more manageable but if pushed over the edge it reacts with oversteer. Some feel as if the car's character is now on the polar opposite where it had understeer and acted a lot more like a 4WD before the update. We are unsure if this includes the Concepts

Not sure if anyone has posted this yet but the changes they made to the Mitsubishi Evos regarding AYC has caused these cars to be ineligible for "tuning prohibited" rooms. They actually start out as eligible until you look at the AYC setting in the tuning menu, then they become ineligible.

There have been other cases of this in previous updates, PD makes a permanent change to a car and it is no longer allowed in a "tuning prohibited" room. Eg. Downforce added to Diablo GT2 in v1.03

This has happened with other cars where the specs changed with an update. If you buy a new one in 1.04 it should be able to get in.
 
Hey guys, I deleted my utility game data this afternoon, and apparently you can't glitch to make money anymore, when I got into the game ver.1.00 somehow it was my saved game from earlier probably around ver 1.02. However at the online play column, I found the gt community and quick match icon that are suppose to come in the future. Anyway, just sharing.

Save file data was altered in v1.02, The community and Quick match icons were removed in v1.01.
