Sorry for being dense. Can I get some clarification on this. Ex: What if I can get 13 laps on RH. Do I then have to use RS and finish up if neccesary with RH? Or mix and match fronts and backs?

I think that you must use one set of RS only during the Race and as many RH as you need to finish, no mixing I assume, and as it a wet track it would have to be a forced pit stop as I doubt either tyre set is going to wear out.

Just did a very quick check and I reccommend using TCS otherwise there will be too much slippin'n'slidin'.
My opponent was a CLK Mercedes RC, which would be tough to beat.

You have to use one set and only one set of RS, use RH for the rest of the race... crud. I think I used RMs.

EDIT: Tree'd! And I didn't use aids, it was a fun race. The tires do wear out too.

That is exactly right, viperin. You do not have to use the soft tyres if you dont want to, though.

To Whom it may concern,
It saddens me to announce my exit from the Series. The East Coast Motorsports FPV GT has been having many engine problems of late and that is why I am pulling out of the series. Actually... I've got my School Certificate Exams coming up soon and I reluctantly gave my mum the power cables to my 2 PS2's so I couldn't play which will hopefully make me study which will hopefully lead to better results. I may be back after that if the series is still running. I'll still keep following the series to see how my teammate LancerEvo copes in the Premium class. Cheers, Cougar23 :)

*Puts new engine in FPV*

Is it ok if I take over his car TheStig?

Have put in my two tries. Rather addicting track. Touch and go throughout the track. A little gas here a lot of brakes there. A one pit race here would be a miracle unless you drive 10 mph.

TheStig13...

I'm afraid I cannot compete in this race,
[fakescenario]
My pit crew took off on me, my crew chief is out somewhere in Tahiti, and the rest took up an offer on drinks back in Seattle and someone thought it was a good idea to take a flight to Jamaica. They definitely won't be back in time to work for me in the race. But boy when they get back, they're gonna get a talking to.
[/fakescenario]

I am absolutely slammed this week between extracurriculars, cross-country, scouts, hunting, school... you get the idea. I won't be able to find time to post a time. Will this result in dismissal from the series or do I just get the slowest entered time with x minutes added to it?
[/reallifescenario]

Really fun races, especially in class two, the kink passing the bike layout chicane was fun with a little bit of tail wagging. I wish the cars would lose the back end in the dry like the do in the wet. I'd rather deal with the rain instead of that bumpy Seattle track any day .

I don't think you have to participate in them all? Real life gets in the way sometimes. Just won't get any points cause you're not in this one. But race organizer has the last say.

Did a very rough and ready trial run last night to suss things out.
AI @ 10 = Mercedes CLK , yikes!! (200 points though :) , all I gotta do now is win :scared:

A three stop strategy looks the best bet for that, 2 RH and a last stint sprint on Soft.
I think I will do a full Race tonight and put this race to bed as I have too much to do before all the deadlines catch up with me.

Good luck all,

Later.

Edit - I of course meant a 2 stop strategy ( three sets of tyres in total ) I hope I did not confuse anyone ! ).

You'll just get a DNF (Did Not Finish) for the round and you can continue racing in the series at the other rounds.

Alright then, hope this race runs well for you guys.

Greetings all -
My Commodore has just sailed in to PORT.:), with all crew accounted for.

TheStig13 has my results. Quite fun! Its going to take a week to dry out!

I ran on -10 difficulty and was able to collect 1 A-spec point against a over-matched Honda Accord! My best lap on the sport hards was a slippery 1.13.024, wind aided. Decent laps, especially the second to last one when I was receiving encouragement from a following shark.

Does anyone need a floatation device to safely get back to the dock?

Nice time, I only managed a 13.2xx, but I used my softs to get away from the other car in my first stint, I should have saved them for the second when he was not in my way. Crew chief is fired... In other news, the car was like a fish bowl with all the wildlife swimming around inside. One of my crew men was bailing it out as fast as it would fill.

SPM finally fought the rough waves and sailed in a day before deadline:scared:.

Fastest lap: 1.11.811 (Not saying which tyres)
Time Submitted!
I will be the weekend warriors race from the pillbox. The pit crew got mad when I got the car tires when the tires had a mixture of gravel ,grass and dirt in my wheels.:grumpy:

Ah, now I remember the main reason why I entered these race series: improving my skills! Keeping 593 horses from escaping onto slippery tarmac certainly tested me, and I'm pleased with my times. Pit strategy could have been adjusted by a lap or two, but I think it worked out well overall. Too bad about my Class 1 entry being late :O

:banghead: S***! Had my run done on weds. Thought the race was two weeks like Seattle. Have to read the thread better. :banghead:

edit: Thanks for the reprieve.

Hey! Does this mean my submitted time for Class 1 isn't penalised? I was (and still am) completely willing to accept the penalty for a late submission, but if you're changing the deadline then that's alright by me too.

Will be submitting late, my friend showed up when I planned to do the races. I will submit both classes tomorrow.

EDIT: Whoops, double post... sorry.

Had to miss this one, only had a recent game save and unlocked Tsukuba Wet at the last minute, only to find that the Super GT race had started. So I went and did that and I am now regretting it. :banghead:

PORT's Commodore lives up to its name and takes line honors in the wet!

It looks like everyone struggled at Tsukuba Wet except me.

Perhaps my pit strategy paid huge dividends. I ran on sport hards for the first 5 laps, and then switched to sport softs for the last 7 laps. And like I said on my first post, I ran against level -10 (easy) so the competition would not get in the way.

I saved my replay, so I will try to post the video tonite for anyone interested in how the Commodore slices thru the waves!

Perhaps my use of a sail on the downwind sections made all the difference!

In a GTPSN interview with the driver of the LSX Engineering Camaro and Commodore,

"Well, I gave it all I could, my laps felt fast, to me anyways, the cars just didn't have the rear end grip we needed, but I think most everyone suffered the same, it was really wet out there. We're really looking for a podium in the next few races, we've been close, just not as fast as some of the front runners, I heard the PORT racing teams Commodore pulled a 1:10 lap out, that's very fast, we were almost 3 seconds off that kind of pace."

*Back to the studio*

"The LSX Engineering team shipped straight back to Japan from their race shop down in Florida, with the new crew chief on the team, they are hoping for a better pit strategy and showing in round 3. They have already been turning laps on Suzuka East getting the pit strategy down for the race and checking tire wear, the team really needs to be looking to improve their finishing positions if they hope to climb up the points ladder."

Me too.:)
GTsail290 that must of been an incredible run!:sly: I was continiously braking late and once even slipped into the gravel.:yuck: On the last lap atleast. Even though I only got to complete one full race.
Anyways I didn't wear my headphones on so that eliminates the fact of
getting a great time.👎 Also, the last time I listened to the music my
time went from a 12.36.xxx with no music to a whopping 12.14.xxx! So the headphones are staying on for next circuit in Suzuka. You guys better
watch out because1 will tear up the asphalt in Suzuka. (also the number is how it looks on the side of the car):)
