This thread is a sort of buyers guide showing which cars have a better value for money

I'm not sure if this is relevant, but my dad purchased a Ford F-250 brand-new 11 years ago and, in diesel-guise they've barely dropped more than 15% in price on the used market. That is, I think it was purchased for approx 75k AUD or, and 65k seems to be what they're selling at now.

Also of interest, NA1 Miatas and Honda S2000s seemed to bottom-out in value a few years ago. An average NA1 seemed to bottom-out at 6.5k and is on the rise now. The S2K hit an average low of about 20k a few years ago and appears to have held that value since. The Civic and Integra Type Rs are much the same; in their rare volumes I doubt the average Type R model will ever dip below 15k.

Buying a car new isn't really value for money I'm afraid unless you can afford to buy something that will appreciate in value.

Best new car like that recently was the 1M as they're now going for as much if not more than they were new.

Back to the original question, I don't think new cars are value for money but everybody has different thoughts, if you buy something and think you're getting enough car for your cash then that's all you need.

It's nearly impossible to tell unless the car is specifically limited in production, such as the 1M Clark mentioned & even then, it won't guarantee anything. The only brand you could try to play it safe with is Ferrari & that's because of the name alone.

Otherwise, the best value for money car is the one that offers you the most for "x" amount.

For those thinking im comparing cars of different years I am saying the stats of the newest model of the car in question

For those thinking you've made three posts that have all could've fit in the same one, you have.

I was just saying as I compared a Viper SRT and ZR1 Corvette in a different thread before and people complained for them being from different years

You could've fit it all in one post though, you don't need to make a separate post for everything you write.

ok, this one is for the cheaper cars that people may afford and shows the differences to show which is better while the other one is for supercars that most people cant buy and shows which is better there
