Hi,
I just want to know, how many vanquishes can I win? Is it possible to have one of each colour? If I sell one, can I win the race again and get another one?

Thanks
Paddy.

p.s. I SOOOO want the silver vanquish!

1. 2
2. Yes, but only if you buy from other saved games.
3. No

And here's a list of available colors.
British Racing Green
Derwent Green
Grasmere Blue
Braemar Blue
Sutherland Red
Solent Silver
Malham White

What kideng said, you can get one from the Prof. British Race, and the other one from all golds on the IA License...mine came in I think Solent Silver...:D

Hi,
So you mean, I only have a 2 in 7 chance of getting a silver vanquish?

Also, how can I buy cars off another saved game?
Thanks
Paddy.

well u get a mate who has gt3 save file, go to trade, and buy his car

i have the british racing green, silver, and a blue one

i thank my mate for that blue one :D

if u want a green one get all golds in IA licence

Or you could just keep racing the easiest Prof. British Race until you get one...;)

If you haven't already won the one from the British Race, you can win two races, save, win the third one, and if you don't get the color you want you can load and run the race again.

Kinda like the save/reload trick, except you actually have to complete the last race.

2 chances to win it.
7 different colors.
I can see why you were easily confuzled.

Your chances of getting a silver Vanquish are 1/7 or 2/14.

Why the hell would it be 13/49???

Because you're calculating the chance of NOT getting it first (because if you got it the first time you the second attempt is irrelevent). So it's (6/7)^2=6*6/7*7=36/49. Once you have that, subtract that from one and you get 13/49.

The probability test that I took in Hnrs. Alg. II this year absolutely killed me :scared:... that was the only "D" I've ever gotten on a math test.

*shudders*

I'll take Statistics Blunders for $1000, Alex.

kideng gets the extra credit. Everybody else needs to stay after class.

He's saying there are 49 possible outcomes, 13 of which include at least one Silver.

7 choices * 7 choices = 49 outcomes

1 outcome = silver + silver
6 outcomes = silver + one of the other 6
6 outcomes = one of the other 6 + silver

13 total outcomes including a silver

A little known fact, but...

If the Vanquish had "all the goodies from die another day" (sic) it'd have the 6.0 V12 replaced with a Mustang V8, so it wouldn't sound like a Vanquish anymore

In order to allow the shotguns under the bonnet, they had to make more room in the engine bay - the 6.0 V12 fills quite a bit of space... :D So they put in a 289ci (errr, I think - I'm not an expert on Ford blocks) Mustang V8 to allow more space with similar power. They then played the V12 exhaust note over the top.

Only the shotgun Vanquish was modified like this, the two others were left as-is.

Personally I think the silver Vanquish is programmed to come up less often. Every time I race I get a green one and have to do it over. I finally settled for a Sutherland Red one. Then I bought the Malham White one from a friend so I could have all white Aston Martins.

Ahhhh....***is still a bit confused, but gets the jist of it*** ;)

Yeah, I remember seeing a making of, and they had to push back the engines considerably to get all the stuff to fit inside, and so they replaced the engines with Ford V8s...:)

well they had to, otherwise they wouldn't have all those cool rockets...;)

Anyway, you do know that Ford owns Aston Martin, don't you?

BTW, I think the statistical analysis was irrelevant anyway. I think the Vanquish you get from IA gold is always British Racing Green. At least I know mine is, and I've seen other people say that.

Hmm, maybe because that's the "main" colour or something? (green is also said to be an unlucky racing colour, but it wasn't for Bentley this year...;))

No, but I think Fiat 0wnz Ferrari.
