The first clipping point is to ensure that people initiate early, we don't want to see people going straight down and initiating halfway through the first turn.

Something that needs to be reiterated - For the main event both drivers MUST speed match for the required distance allotted for each track

There was alot of "dragracing to the first corner" on Sunday which is not fair for the lower HP cars.

I assume you want us to feint next to the wall or are you expecting a massive e-brake entry near it? It may be difficult to do the latter depending on the courtesy roll. I'm about to go test this. 👍
 
I got back from my road trip.

Today I was drifting with my wheel and I was actually doing good. almost no more spinouts and am Holding nice slides. Still working on transitions.

Can't wait for this weeks vdc circuit this part of the track is brilliant:tup:

Think of the first corner there as a right hand sweeper. That rear clipping point is where the corner starts and the corner ends when you flip back to the left for turn two. It's definitely not an e-brake entry cuz I never use my ebrake :)
 
Its definitely a weight transition.

Edit: The new rules so far;

We will start with 30 points rather than 100. Some stuff will stay the same...for an example. In qualifying you will still have your 3 laps. The first lap is to warm up tires (please do the having fun part here, but please dont take too long) Then we will have the 2 hot laps. Please do your best in these 2 laps as for they are being judged. Me and Stig will be judging so please dont take it upon yourself to think you did great and decide you dont need a 2nd run. I want to make sure you get the best score possible to make the top 8. 👍 Here is how the points shall break down.

You start with 30 at the beginning of your hot lap. We will then minus out points for every mistake made. Exp...

* -1 Point for 1 tire off
* -2 for 2 tires off.
* Automatic 0 for Spin
* Automatic 0 for 4 tires off
* -2 for hitting opponent.
* -1 for loss of angle (Having to correct to get back sideways)
* + 2 for overall closeness (The closer you are *without hitting*)
* - 2 for hitting wall

This is what we have so far. I believe these are more then reasonable. When you spin out even if it on your first lap the other person will automatically move on. This will also apply to the main event also. Many may think this is hard or unfair, but i want to make sure we have an understanding that because we are giving away real money prizes i can not have this comp be a free pass. This comp was made to determine the best at the time of the series. So with that its made to be tough, nerve racking, and garaunteed to piss you off at times. But once again please remember the prizes that are involved.

This is final, No changes will be made. So if you dont feel like it fair ot you cant do it. I will except back outs. And please remember all this was writen not to be rude or upsetting, but informative. I will be taking opinions on what to do to add to the list, but the list above is not changing. Please give me you opinions on what else would be proper.

I am so late on this, I rarely come to GTplanet anymore, would have signed up..

Is there going to be any video coverage on this? Or atleast with the top qualifiers? That would be dope.
 
just thought i'll let you know that i wont be able to atend the qualifying due to the face i have to work for the next 3 weeks :(

Edit: Here is the new chart for Qualifying and the Main event. In this chart you will see the different columns. Each column represents the different mark downs. Next to your name you will see mark in each column. Each mark will represent 1 mark down. So if you see like in Adavicro's row. that means he let 1 tire go off the track twice. At the end is the total number of points you got on that run (out of 30 possible) Showing Adavicro scored 29 and Silvia a total of 25. For qualifying we will take the highest number for your position. Which will show on the qualifying chart. When the top 8 is determined we will then post you in the Main Event chart. Please if you have any questions please fell free to ask. this chart will be posted in the OP, and will be viewable to all of you.
