Detroit is great for summer/spring car shows, now I’m bored because of winter nothing happens through November till March when Autorama happens.@Gotbeefboy564 it really does seem like sometimes, that you’ve seen every car in the world! Michigan car shows really do have every car under the sun.
Saw two in Michigan. They both came to the St. John’s concourse in Detroit
This one came in 2018

Two years in a row too the black one came last year. Hopefully another will come for the 2020 St. John’s concourse.
I dont think you will se any other Vector W8's there other than Bill's car and my car.

Can of beans...
Awesome! How often does it get driven, by the way?I guess you never know what you will come across in the internet. Not only am I her owner. I'm the only Vector Aeromotive Employee that owns one of the production cars. View attachment 873415View attachment 873415 View attachment 873416
Not much these days. I have a lot of miles on the pre production cars. I bought this car 19 years ago as a preservation piece. Now that values are back where they belong and her being a Concours best in class winner, she is pretty much a dedicated show car these days.Awesome! How often does it get driven, by the way?

Wow, what are the odds of an actual owner being on this forum?
I’d be interested to know what else you have in your collection @Vectorw8015
IIRC, the founder recently sold both his prototypes for this car’s successor(?) for a hefty $1m+.
@Vectorw8015, was there supposed to be something more to that car than just doubling the W8’s power and streamlining the design?
Thank you.Way too cool.
When you say putting it on the road... do you mean making it road legal? And we are in the process of building a 1985 Porsche 962C and putting it on the road.
Because I use to work for Vector the W8 is a part of my life and history. Hence the reason for owning it.
Yes we will be taking the car and putting a plate on it so it can be driven on the street. The 962's had 650hp and weighed a tick over 1900 lbs. My car should weigh under 2100 lbs with air conditioning. And have between 650 and 850hp. So it should be faster than the cars were in 1985. We are gearing her for 255 mph at 6500 rpm. When you say putting it on the road... do you mean making it road legal?![]()
