VERY ANGRY! (Given wrong Prize Car?)

Ok, I'm not that mad, but I keep reading threads about winning the Minolta 88-CV Race Car on the El Capitan 200 Mile Endurance Race.

I didn't! It wasn't a hard race, but I got a lame NSX-R Concept LM Race Car!

Why? What did I do wrong? I used the 787B to do the race, that shouldn't matter anyway. I have the North American Version. I live in America, I want the Minolta, Don't rip me off Polyphony.

Anyone else having this problem?

didn't you used the Japanese or the PAL prize car list?

think thats in the PAL version. check some prize lists

No, the Minolta is the prize car for that race in the NA version as well. It was the first Endurance race I did.

I have no explanation for the NSX-R being awarded instead...glitch perhaps?

I too, have the North American NTSC version. I B-Spec spam that race like crazy for easy cash while I'm asleep or at work. I've won at least a dozen Minolta Toyotas from it.

This is really, really weird...

Dont you get the NSX-R LM car for the 8h of Motegi(sp)?

The NSX LM Race Car is the prize for the SuperSpeedway Endurance. The Toyota is for El Capitan, that's the same in PAL and USA versions.

But doing El Capitan with a 787B??? Geez... Guess you finished 10 laps ahead, nice race... :rolleyes:

Probably you just have to do the SuperSpeedway 150 miles or do El Capitan over again.. Try it then with a normal car... It's more fun, believe me...

Wait a minute. There is no such thing. The "Concept" is not the "LM Race Car". Its either one or the other.

First of all, identify the car exactly.

Second, spykerdriver is probably right. You probably actually ran another race.

Copy and paste from the Prize Car list I have:
Super Speedway 150 Miles : HONDA NSX-R Prototype LM Race Car '02
Motegi 8 Hours Endurance : HONDA NSX-R LM Edition Road Car '02

So, you'll get 2 NSX cars, both LM editions, but one's a road going version, the other is the race car. I have them both.

Zardoz, that car really exists and, now that i think of it, i got it from the Super Speedway 150 race. It is like the race version of the NSX-R concept you can win. The Nissan Skyline GT-R concept car also has a race version.

I guess I meant prototype, I'm not perfect, and GT4 doesn't think so either. I've never raced the Motegi race. I did the El Capitan right after the Super Speedway Endurance, I also did a few others, and no Minolta Race Car...

Better not be a Glitch.

Also, Mate Are you 100% U Did El capitan, I Know for some, the names, of super speedway & El Capitan are extremley Easy to mix up, & The Uncanny Track Resembalance, 💡

Well, did you race it in B-spec or A-spec mode? Everyone here seems to have posted about doing it in Bspec mode. Perhaps a different car is given out when you "race it yourself" ( which I personally think is what should be the case to give incentive to pull of the 24 hour endurance races manually ).

Hehe, it's a good point you bring up that I would switch the names on accident. But I don't make simple mistakes.

(I deserve to B-Spec the race with the car anyway, I earned the 3.5Mil to buy the 787B

EwwwK, Far cry From The Begging where you gave the impression you actually did this, race A-spec, Whats Wrong wih the NSX-R its a Sweet drive, Might give you a bit of competition,

I too think Chris Criswell endured the wrong endurance race to try and win the Minolta.............it is definitely El Cap. that you need to race in to win the Minnie (and it should not matter what car you use to win it...........I used that piece o' scat Mclaren BMW GTR to win the race). I had to race it twice to win another Minolta after I fitted the first one with the "Roll Cage" to keep its structure intact. Those stablizer bars threw the whole car outta whack and nothing I did to remedie the understeer worked!

I did half and half, I Switch between A-Spec and B-Spec when I pit, it keeps the race fun.

And I know for sure it was El Capitan, I wasn't even aware that the prize car was the Minolta, but I started to see these Prize Car Lists, and I should have gotten the Minolta. El Capitan is set in Yosemite, I know my courses...

Okay, I found it on the Sony web site. Cool car, I'm sure, but nothing like the 88C-V. Yes, you're supposed to get it for the Super Speedway 150.

If you got the NSX for El Capitan, that is one amazing glitch. Go ahead and try the Super Speedway race and see if you get the Minolta Toyota.

do the race again in bspec and dont complain so much....i lost my savegame (never removed or cheated with the memory card tricks) due to corruption at 80% and havnt said a thing...not getting the minolta isnt the end of the world

I Share your pain, I Too Lost a Gt4 Save and the whole of my memmory Card, Due to corruption, its a bugger specially at over 50% but life goes on.

Ok, I have completed it again, and it gave me the Minolta... Very very very weird bug, it gave me the NSX-R Prototype LM Race Car first...

(I put it on Fast/Overtake on B-Spec and finally won it)

Glad you finally got it!
I was going to suggest doing it over in A-spec with a normal car to see if you can get the Minolta (which you should have gotten the first time).

Do the Super Speedway one, and you may get a 2nd NSX-R Race car.

um.... weird... did u check if u've got two NSX LM in ur garage now? (since u also did the super speed way 150..)..
also check ur diary and see what it says....

that is one weird glitch if it's real....

That's a point, if you won the super speedway enduro already what did you get from that then? You should have 2 NSX-R LM's in your garage. You sure you did the right race?...............................maybe you already got a Minolta? maybe the game was taking the **** and gave you a midget-II for super speedway? B-Spec drivers getting tired of doing all the enduros?

I don't even think you can enter the El Capitan Endurance race with a 787B?? It's all street cars in there... no racing cars. Or did you run your 787B with sports tires and did the game accept it?
