Veyron Interior????

Last night I decided to have a head to head test of acceleration and top speed on the test ring in Arcade mode/split screen.
This test was between A corner tuned standard Veyron and my highly modded 900hp V10 Audi R8.

Now as results went the veyron just pulled it off with a 10mph higher top speed along with a slightly faster acceleration.

So I saved the replay and then decided to watch it in GT mode to take pictures. And when I was flicking from view to view, I noticed that the Veyron suddenly has a very low res dash, steering wheel and I could see my driver’s glove?!?!?!?!

Has anybody noticed this or is it common knowledge?

If anybody wants to see this I might be able to upload the replay or some screen shots, for you to look at. :sly:
 
Post that picture to be sure but i think is the normal standard interior that every car has but in cockpit view it is just all black.

If you look at replays ever car even concept cars have seats and the driver inside but then in cockpit view there is nothing.
 
I was about to start a thread on this exact same topic :ouch:

It happens on ALL cars during 2P Splitscreen replays, basically a "standard" version of the Premium cars :odd:

- The driver's hands, wheel, and the cockpit's basic layout are visible.
- The gauges do not work
- The whole cockpit is low-res.
 
Shows that GT5's cockpit view isn't actually a cockpit view, can't explain but who understands knows what I'm saying.
 
I just finished playing so my PS3 is off. Is there any way that you could post a pic? I know that the Veyron has an interior cam but as every single standard it's blacked out. (except for the Powler and other open-top cars)

No it's not. When you switch to cockpit it's a separate render of the car. You can easily see this by getting close to a premium car in replay mode and taking a look at the interior. It's extremely low res and gauges don't even work in most cases. I completely understand what you're saying.

With standards it's the same I guess. Proof is that in "cockpit" cam there isn't really any car outside.
 
GT5's cockpit cam is basically a bumper cam with a hi-res render of the interior attached to it, with some angle changes and some more minor tweaks.

Ok, those pictures are something new to me. You can actually see the car outside. Awesome.

It was confirmed a LONG time ago that the standard cars are indeed imported from the PSP. Thats why people were so suprised that the standards did not have any interior views since the PSP version did.
 
Didn't know that, well, actually I thought it was a silly rumor.

It looks like they just stick you in the actual cockpit that you see on the outside. :dopey:

I actually agree with simon on this its a bit harsh that this level of detail is accepted in a ps3 game.

Woah :eek: The Veyron will definitely be more exciting if PD placed that in the "normal" cockpit view

Looks like interior view in ToCA1 from 1997 on PS1. Awful "work" especially on R92 it is drivable in this view?
 
Am i missing something here? have they released an update or what?

Yup only PD could get away with selling this to people. No other car game on earth has ever had cars not all look the same in one game. If this was any other franchise the game would flop but it seems GT die-hards will accept anything. That's why I didn't buy GT5.

I bought it for the racing but I am dissappointed with the standards.

I wish i didn't buy it too. It was so over hyped and i was trapped in it, so i preordered GT5. :-(
Just waiting for GT6 with hopes it will be for PS3.

Kaz really got away with this... That's why I'm NOT going to buy GT6 until I get all the information about it...
