Kaz really got away with this... That's why I'm NOT going to buy GT6 until I get all the information about it...

Exactly.

Oh nooooo!!! No premium Veyron? Noooo it's the end of the world!!! Let's go on strike on an internet forum!

Sorry, I just reaaaally wanted to get that off my chest. If PD really took more time on GT5 , you guys would've still been whining....be grateful it's been released!
I know I'm enjoying GT5.
And sorry if it sounds like I'm cramming down opinions down people's throat, I'm just really agitated.

So PD, in other words you have bad time management. I mean, all that time making the first DLC pack could have dedicated to making premium versions of standards (which they already have a license of).

So your saying the standard cars coincide with what represents ps3 quality?

I dont see anything wrong with having a problem with pd putting standards from gt4 into gt5 its a valid thing to be concerned about.

So you'd honestly be happy with just 200 cars? Yeah, right.

I dont see anything in my post that suggests that go back and re read.

Saying that you have no problem with people complaining about having standard cars in gt5 basically says that, and very nearly (from what one could assume) says that you would be inclined to agree with them. You read what you wrote. People complaining about standard cars is just old, would you guys rather not have them in the game at all? We'd be short 800 cars, which, IMO, would definitely NOT make the game more fun, in any way, shape or form. And $5 says that if they didn't import the cars from gt4, you guys would complain about that, or not having enough cars, there is just no pleasing you is there? (an that is not directed at you, that is in general) I like the variety of the standard cars (even if most of the "variety" are miatas, rx-7's, skylines, and so on), not to mention, if we didn't have standard cars I wouldn't be able to drive my Camaro, until they'd make a premium once (and I wouldn't think that a 3rd gen camaro is the highest priority car on their list).

How can it say id rather 200 cars your not making sense. its a comment that the standards are not up to scratch with what they should look like on ps3.

It certainly doesnt say I prefer them gone or prefer 200 cars.

Again re read my post.

Thats why its called reading betweent he lines. Why do you have no problem with people complaining about standards? Sure, they don't look as good as the premium models, but you know what? The game would be worse off without them, because, what is PD supposed to do? Go back and update every single one of them? No, that time is better spent elsewhere. I have a problem with the people that are constantly complaining about the standards. For God's sake, they're in the game, get over it is all I have to say to them. Well then I'll ask you a question: Do you have a problem with standards being in the game or not?

Like I said I didnt say I only wanted the 200 premiums you only assumed as much its not called reading between the lines its called assuming and assumptions get you nowhere.

Now in answer to your question I do like, the standards being there and they offer variety but as I stated earlier the standards arent what you would call up to ps3 quality which like I said there is nothing wrong with complaining about.

Premium Spoon CR-Z

Standard Bugatti Veyron.

"It wasn’t a matter of making a decision, we just didn’t have time to do it! There is still a possibility that some Standard cars may become Premium in the future."

LOL Kaz.
They had to re-get the licences for all of the cars, like it is for every other racing game.

They were able to get some cars before others.

You mean in order to make them premium?

Very interesting find. The Chaparral 2D cockpit looks nice, except for the top right corner. I wish they could have combined the clean black silhouette and working mirrors we have now with the hood, fenders and what-not that can be seen in replay. But that would take time away from premium modeling witch is more important in the long run. Any way about it I'm glad to have the standard cars and I enjoy the silhouette cockpit view.

Not necessarily. Licenses can be multi-year, multi-game. They don't have to get a new one for every game. That only applies when you're talking about sub-licenses like Porsche, which EA only seem to give out on a per-game basis.

Also if you think you're going to get a license you can still models the cars before.

So you're wrong, and it's still lol Kaz.

GTP members often come to PD's rescue only to fly away one bye one. It's still LOL Kaz.

Premium Spoon CR-Z

Standard
Bugatti Veyron

Standard Jaguar XJ220

Standard RUF Yellow Bird

Standard C1 Vette

Standard Countach

Now it's LMAO Kaz. But I'm not a pessimist, so I absolutely believe the Veyron is already premium and perhaps a few of the above legendary cars.

PD had the license for the Bugatti well over a year before GT5's release. Now unless we all want to assume Bugatti wanted the Veyron to be a Standard, that was PD's decision. I'm not even much of a fan of the car, but considering it's importance, it's always struck me as a rather silly decision.

Bringing the Spoon CR-Z up as an example is a poor one, though; the base CR-Z is in the game, meaning the Spoon most definitely did not have to be built from scratch.

There must have been a problem due to licensing as there should be no reason why it should not be premium.

Time constraint? They were already on a tight schedule, they were forced to release the game early, for all we know, they could be working on a premium model now... Licensing wouldn't affect the premium/standard nature of a car... Plus it was said that the primary focus was getting all the new cars to the GT series premium, then worry about the older series games cars first... The Veyron was in GTPSP therefore it wasnt a priority.

Honestly, if i were Kaz, I would have made like 400-500 premium cars, instead of 200 premium and 800 standard, and then fixing them over and over again (first they had to add that black cockpit, then the tires and so on)

Oh, and I would have made a gazillion premium cars! Too bad that simply coming up with an arbitrary number doesn't automatically mean that you have the time and resources to pull it off.

Premium car: Half a year to model from scratch.
Standard car: Half an hour to import, convert and update.

If that time frame is correct how many people working on them would it take to make a reasonable amount of cars.

It's pretty obvious the standard cars were just copy-pasted from GT4 with no improvements to the models or textures. Not adding them to the game would not mean more premium cars, at least not many more.
