Video card or Sharkport

Can someone explain how a video card works and how a sharkport works..I have some great replays and some videos I can make but I don't know how!!!

Video cards and sharkports are pretty irrelevant. You need a capture card (or some people just use a DV cam and point it at their TV), but the important thing is getting the software and learning to use it. If you haven't done enough research to even have a vague understanding of this, I doubt you're motivated enough to ever actually figure any of it out (no offense), so I won't waste my time here, but if you really care, here are some excellent resources:

I'll try a simple explanation.

Video Card (TV tuner card) has audio and video inputs. You hook your PS2 up via red, white and yellow Cables. The PS2 then will play through the software and on your computer screen. You'll need software to record the images (movie) as an mpeg.

A sharkport attaches your computer to the PS2 via USB. It transfers files to and from your PS2. Simple as that. Nothing more, nothing less.

If anybody reading this thread knows where I can find a Video Card with firewire(4 Pin) out, let me know please. I'm in the market for a new computer for my HDTV, and I have no more componet inputs left, nor do I want S-video out since you can't use that for HDTV signals. Thanks.

Can you play the replays on your mem card on your computer without having a tuner card. Like just opening them in a PS2 type file and playing them, cause I got a program to record the screen as a video, like an MPEG, and I would like to be able to make my own drift vids. I don't have a TV card and can't put one into my laptop.
