I have a few tracks from GT, FF8, MGS, JSRF, and DDR.

At first (when i first got JSRF) i couldnt stand the music

but it grew on me, and i d/l'ed the ost.

What a thread!
VGM is great!
From the stuff they put on tony hawks to orchestral stuff from RPG`s I love it. Mind you at the moment ive been listening to GT3 and GT2 soundtrack, I cant get enough of the menu music.

I also used to rip allot of the music from PSOne and DC games myself!

OH yeah what the hell is JSRF?
BTW www.gamingforce.com/audio is down for a remake which is kinda annoying.

Heh, i rip dc audio every now and then when i'm bored:D

gameforce audio is down, but for server issues, but i'm sure they will have a update when they are back

JSRF= jet set radio future:D

I have a few GT and GT3 songs. Also I have the GT2 Soundtrack.
I also have some music from the Tony Hawk series.

i do not ave any songs from any game, usually i do not like em that much, like most of the songs on GT3 kinda suck anyway, though i do suppose max payne intro music is alright.

Mega/Rock Man music is great,
i think that orginal remix are the best.
I like Command & Conquer music too.
and some GT 1 2 3 music

If you like c&c music try a program called GAP- game audio player. it comes with playlists that show all the music in most of the c&c games, and will allow you to extract them from the files that contain them, and allow you to convert them to mp3 or whatever.

'Course I do! I have a decent collection, both on my CD rack and on the ol' HDD.

I used to rip game audio and video...but now I can't 'cos PSMplay doesn't work right with Win XP.

You guys need to check out DJ Pretzel's OverClocked Remix if you haven't already..

See my above post:D

but try GAP it work with alot of PC games.

Also for PSX music, have you tried to see if there is any redbook audio (just a music cd) on any of your games?

Just stick the games in a cd player and see if there are any tracks beyond 1 (one is data, dont play, music starts on 2)

I've found a lot of my psx game have redbook audio, and the CDDB has the info for them too:D

PSX games haven't used Redbook audio since the early days. I guess they had some trouble getting it to repeat correctly.

I could always reformat my PC as a dual-booter... :D

Thats what i though, but i found that some of my middle generation games, (all the twisted metals, jet moto 2, time crisis, and rage racer) have redbook audio, and i've only gone through a few of my games:D

Whoa! I remember those! Those were a LONG time ago. I think Ridge Racer had some. I used to rent games just to see if they had music on them.

Ridge Racer had the unique abilty (i think it was one of the few) to play the game without the cd.

Load up the level, take the disc out and insert a cd of your choice, then contiue playing:D

Actually it was any game that used CD audio and if you had the older style psx, you know the ones with the phono sound outputs on the back. I used to put my prodigy, fluke and aphex twin albums in while playing wipeout 2097 and 3, for a little variation. I used to play all sorts of crazy music with ridge racer!
Then my PSX broke and sony replaced it with the newer model, and that little trick didnt work anymore.
