Impressive lap, but when did the Gumpert Apollo S, the Radical SR8 and the SR8LM stop being production cars?

Cool vid. I like the downforce meter to the right.
And the car is definitely geared differently this time around.

Thier not Production cars because you cant go to the Dealer and drive it right off the lot... The Apollo, you have to go threw speciall Mags, like Dupont Registery to order and such.

Oh, but they are none the less road legal production cars. They are produced, and you are allowed to drive them on the road. Just because there are special ways to obtain one doesn´t make it a non production car, in that case the Enzo wouldn´t be production car either, since you couldn´t get one unless Ferrari said so.

The whole Radicals and Gumbert being Production cars has been covered in the L.F.A thread 👍

Impressive lap By the way

Well...

This whole "*insert car* here isn't a road legal production car because *insert reason here*" argument just seem like a convenient way to get rid of competition that can't be beat. That's all.

But, yeah, I suppose it was discussed to death in the LFA thread. And, from reading a few posts there, there wasn't a reason for the Gumpert or Radicals not being production cars whatsoever that wasn't quickly dismantled by Famine. Guess I'll just stand by my point, no record to see here.

I think, with the how much the driver was fighting the ACR all the way around, 7:12.xxx is an awesome lap. Seriously, though, there were several places I thought he was gonna loose it. It looked like he was a rally car driver with all that sawing.

It's also impressive that the ACR is not only 4th fastest street-legal car/fastest production car...but it beat Motortrend's 2009 test by 10 seconds. They might be able to shave a second or two off the time if the car was more stable around the corners.

LOL, those are boutique cars. Only how many made?
LOL, since when are boutique cars not production cars?

I could order one from Radicals website this instant if I wanted to, aand had the money. And it might be just down to Dodge's website, but I can't seem to find the option to outright buy an ACR there.

Actually answering your question is a bit tough, though. Radical sold 35 SR8s by 2006, a single year after it was unveiled. So, assuming slightly less units sold thereafter, about a hundred seems like a conservative assumption.

So, how many ACRs were sold by Dodge?

It's a car that comes street legal straight from the dealership, so I'll consider it to be a street legal production car, no matter how much that's going to infuriate some Viper fans ;)
