and it was the same with Lukas and Sai, they even went beyond us and reached a Sudden Death :P steve made them choose a number between 1-10 , lukas chose 5 and Sai 1 result was 6 closer to 5 so Lukas had to choice between leading or following he chose following and Sai pulled a big gap and won the round

Giving up on VDC due to biased judging.

Run 1: My opponent spins out.
Run 2: Tied run.
Result: Spank tries to argue that we should OMT?!!!!

Annoyed at not making my 2nd battle that still could, and should have run. Was mostly my fam's fault, I would have been 10 mins faster but they wouldn't let me leave, even after I said that I had 15 people waiting on me!

You can't expect Steve to wait for you because, in case you might not know, your not someone special compared to somebody else. He left you to be the last run of the top8, gave you extra time to come back, and you still weren't back so he had no choice but to move on.

If you don't like it then this is what you say:

"sorry Spank but I'm not really into this tournament. It's not for me and I want to resign."

Simple as.

Oh and something else: that section wasn't easy to judge because of the aweful cameras.
 
Honestly lets make this easier on themselves, If you guys do a TIE run it will count as a redo.

Example: Gauz vs sai, Gauz wins the first run, but the 2nd run they tie. Then the tie run would be a redo instead of it being counted as a 1-1 or counted as a automatic OMT, what happened between frag and spank is that the first run they tied, so the second run no matter what, would be a OMT? Whats the point of the 2nd run if the first run was a tie?

Simple enough just make all tie runs a redo.

I actually don't understand the judging sometimes. If the first run was adv to driver 1 and the second is a tie then driver 1 wins, he did better overall in this battle.
In this example FRAG is driver 1 and he wins this one.
 
Yeah, the advantage system is very off, as mentioned by someone else to me before. Me and Drifterzz had a very good battle and will happily drift again with him sometime, but I am definately steering away from competitions in the future.

Ah no you guys are confused lol
The judges were stating the result of the battle (a battle being 2 runs with one leading in the first then chasing in the second) at the end of the second run and not stating the result of the second run
When I was judging, and to avoid confusing the drifters, I was stating the result of the 2nd run then the battle .
For example when I judged Sai and lukas, I said "Sai" when Sai lead then "Lukas" when Lukas lead, then I said "so its a OMT"
I guess Jimmy or Steve in that case were saying "Sai" when sai lead and then saying directly tie=OMT when the run where Lukas lead (and where he had adv in) ended instead of saying "ok lukas has adv in that one, so its tied battle, lets have a OMT".


I hope that made it clear lol

But what I can't understand is that you were saying backwards entries shouldn't be allowed at all and you did it most times in our battle which made me have to do it and then ruined my line..

Well I still say they shouldn't be allowed, but I saw people win after pulling Backward Entries and I was very close to loosing a battle because of One so yeah I'm gonna pull Backwards if they are not banned ... :S

what i was meaning after run 2 was a tie overall. i know this was daft now lol.. ill know in future.
 
Sorry guys, thos has turned out to be a complete failure. After round 4 VDC will no longer happen. Its been fun, but my many hours of trying so hard to make this organized and the best drifting event has failed. I drop out of the comp and will dedicate my time to organizing rather then drifting in it.

Sorry once again.
 
Steve I have to do my qualifying run before the sessions. At Saturday I will take part in a NFS The Run Race where you can win a PS3 and 1500€ :)
It's at a driving school where everybody has to use a G27 and I know nobody in my area who owns a G25/7 haha. I'll borrow the game and practice a bit before, wish me luck :D
 
Spank what happened? Personally I think vdc is very organized. Once i have been in monster drifts comp and that was a failure. i think you should continue vdc as it is one of the best gt5 drift events. hope everyone agreea with me :)
 
You should that VDC is 10000000 times more organized than any other event even if we talk about last round that didn't run so well

Bro this is the most orginized place to be! No One is complaining about it! And even if they do, dont listen to them! Dont stop this!
 
Last event was horrible and if I keep this going I will make manh changes.
 
this is not unorganized!!

EDIT: This is the most organised event out there. Yesterday it wasn't even bad. You just needed another judge which was no problem.

Now this is what I want you to do:

1. Your going to compete in this comp. If you need an extra judge it will be no problem for somebody to jump into the lobby.

2. If this is going to be the last season, then fair enough. But at least do it with a smile on your face. You should be proud of what you've accomplished, cause I'm very proud of you.

3. On the last round, I want you to be over the moon with pride.

And lastly: We would like to thank you somehow. We don't know yet but we WILL do something!

ISN'T THAT RIGHT EVERYONE!?

Yeah Spank it's not unorganised. It's the people around that are unorganised. I was happy yesterday, it flew in instead of taking hours like Rd1!!!

I think another season shouldnt be written off yet. If we can think of A bulletproof plan then we should go for it. I'll be around to help as much as my internet lets me, ofcourse.
