Anyone have any experience in making these, just thought it would be nice to have abit of a updater that shows the title of the top 5 latest threads that have been posted on.

This is actually quite simple to do using the RSS gadget that is already included in Vista. Here's a quick tutorial about how to set up the gadget, then just enter the URL for GTPlanet's forum RSS feed, our News RSS feed, or both!

Only problem with using the built in RSS gadget doesn't allow you to change where the feed comes from, there just preset feeds.

Vista gadgets are just simple webpages, it isn't that hard to make one.
Had to make one as a part of a project last year.

It would be a nice addition. I would DL it. It would be great if you guys could make as well a gadget from the GT5P score boards. There is one on Official GT website ( in Japanese) and I remeber someone posted one in French.

DustDriver do you have a link to a tutorial or help page for a guide on making gadgets, i would really like to learn how to make gadgets anyway as i'm just curious

You have to add the feed in Internet Explorer before it becomes available in that gadget's list. Sorry that wasn't clear in the first tutorial that I linked to.

Ahh i get you now, See i use Opera internet browser so i've never picked up on that
