i can beat the first three so i got the series gold, but the last two are much harder....how can i beat them? anyone have a hybrid vitz or something?
 
this forum has been around for a long while, and there are many active members here. many people have had the same problems as you, and they have been solved. you will most likely get a quicker answer by using the search function. and u wont clutter up the boards.

even just adjusting the settings can make the vitz much faster. in my case, i won with pit strategy.
 
lower the thing. for some reason, my vitz went a lot faster when it was closer to the ground.
 
Just do a search like SaleenASL said and you should find all the info you need. :)

As far as i can remember, the series was easy for me.

And Im one of the peopl who ha and still have the problems with a vitz. I havnt even won the beginner race. The vitz is gay.
 
I actually think i could beat these vitz pro races if i just kept at em the whole race, and when they pit i would take the lead....it's just hard staying focused about winning when your so far behind =/

Hey there, Ex! Sorry to hear the Vitz Race is giving you such an annoyance. Don't feel bad, 'cause you're definitely not the only one.

As you know, I've been working on my "perfect" game, where I wanted to spend as little as possible on my vehicles, while still being able to beat the field. For the Professional/Vitz Race, I spent a good 3+ days testing all sorts of upgrade combinations before I finally said "**** IT!" and loaded it to the hilt. For the Professional series, I was attaining margins of 30 sec to 1.5 min; for the Beginner series, 3-9 sec... I think I spent too much on upgrades. Here they are:

VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + oil change [0mi] (-250)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Suspension/Sports (-16000)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Sports Brakes (-4600)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Brake Balance Controller (-10300)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Muffler & Air Cleaner/Racing (-4600)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Port Polish (-5250)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Full-engine Balancing (-11000)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Racing Chip (-1250)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Clutch/Triple Plate (-4600)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Flywheel/Racing (-1000)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Transmission/Full-racing (-10200)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Turbo Kit/Stage 2 (-13000)
VITZ RS 1.5(J) - + Racing Tires/Super-Slick (-10250)

Things I felt I absolutely needed were the Turbo 2, Full-Racing Tranny, Super-Slicks, and any hp boost. The Semi-Racing suspension didn't seem to cut it, and I had trouble winning/staying competitive without going Lightweight 3. I might've gotten away with less, but like I said, I gave in to frustration and just loaded up that sucker.

The key for the Pro races is proper pit strategy. So using Racing/Super-Slick tires will set you up nicely for this (you will likely STILL need upgrades).

However, the Beginner league races (which are only 2 laps) don't allow for pit strategy use. So it was important for me to ensure that I wasn't relying solely on that tactic to win.

For the most part, there is no easy way to simply beat out the field. Even with Super-Slicks (for the Pro league), you still have to race relatively clean to maintain your lead. Some turns might see more benefit by braking slightly earlier than other cars, so that one can get back on the gas sooner, keeping a higher rev rate for the exit.

Other than that, it's just gonna take practice, time, and patience. Just think of how happy you'll be when it's over!

If there are only a few people on this planet who know how frustrating the Vitz Races can be, I think I might be one of them... I raced the final track something like 8 times before I finally got the ALTEZZA LM Race Car from the Pro league!

Keep at it, they'll be in your rear-view in no time!

The suspension upgrade should've read: "Suspension/Fully Customizable (-16000)", not "Suspension/Sports"
