How long should race distances be?

  • 160 to 300 Mi

So if the R8 is running at around 610hp the other cars are running what HP? 550? I think they should be at least 1200kg. The McLaren F1 GTR should have 200kg of ballast along with the CLK-LM. The F1 is hard to drive anyway, but moving ballast towards the front slightly will help with the oversteer. Also, the Panoz would be good with some ballast as well moved to the rear since it's front heavy. With weight added to 1200kg you could send that to the rear and change the understeer it naturally has.

Mine is GT1 and GT2. One league is GT1, which is quite similar to this, GT2 is for Corvette RM and Pagani Zonda.

Also Nitro used to race in my series. This is way Im asking because it sounds like he may of got the idea for my series if he was in it....

No......I made a thread last week titled "VLN Series". It had 3 classes. No one was interested in the others. So now it's all GT unfortunately.

The point is it's hardly a clone. There's a lot of series that use those cars including the GTPFIA, who were around quite a long time before your series i'm afraid to say.

Edit: Im not saying "oh there copying me, shut them down" Im annoyed that he used to be in my league, but has left and started up what I believe to be a similar idea, GT sport cars.
 
Basically yes. I had this series planned back when I was still in yours. I was tired of being critiziced for lag when i wasnt, and driving in a league that allows TC.

You got critziced once, andyou left. I didnt tell you too. Plus TC was allowed, but almost all the guys except a few use it.
 
Okay then. Anyway, I'm not copying you. I'm attempting to run my own series. The regs are different, more cars, and more tracks.

Ore than one GT series. He can run his and I can run mine.
 
I don't see the problem personally. If he doesn't like the other series and wants to start up his own, which is different in quite a number of ways, there shouldn't be a problem should there? :confused:

Yup, Im struggling running it. Doesnt help with people leaving but what can I do? I might close mine, due to problems in the real world. He can run it, but its kinda annoying but it means it frees up my Sundays.

Edit: You say your running a DTM class or something but I only see 1 DTM car - BMW.

I have a feeling the R8's will be fast enough to compete- for a few laps- then fall by the wayside. Unless it has some good tire life to it that the other cars don't. I still think 1200kg 600hp should be the standard for the other cars if the R8LMS is going to be in there. At least it'll equalize them somewhat. Just my suggestion.

Wouldn't this just be called GT Masters seeing as ADAC isn't your sponsor?

And the cars on that list will be nowhere near equal at a set spec, not to mention the F1 GTR can't make 1200kg...
 
It'll hit 1175kg and it's tough to tame. If it's too fast it can run with less HP anyway.

Obviously ADAC isn't my sponsor :lol: it's just what I call it. The Mclaren will have to run at a smaller HP level like Seth said.
