Not bad, better than i managed anyway. I tried it at Spa and got a 2:44.026 running 207bhp. It did take 6 laps to achieve that though, not because i was trying to better myself each lap by a few tenths but because every other lap it kept dumping itself on it's back. Nothing i try seems to stop this annoying little hippy-mobile from doing that.

thanks for posting, but just trying it out and posting a return let this car better than this setting, this suspension was modified with the help of one friend , the rest was me who modified. Thank you for returning

Lets put it this way, before your set-up my Beetle was rolling over at just the sight of a corner! Now at least it's only if it's what may be too fast. Strange how nearly every other car on GT5 gets around corners without rolling on it's back though! Maybe PD realised that the Beetle is just a comedy car so designed it for that purpose only - got to love those hippies!

I need big help with this car. Particularly in the acceleration dept. I have all parts intstalled except the aero kit. For some reason I can't get it under 14.3 second in the quarter mile. Its really fustrating me that a car this light with 200plus hp can't go any faster. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. I am trying to get into the 13sec range with a top speed of 125-130ish. Please help!!!

In reality this car with 200bhp wouldnt be able to get into the 13's anyway and with that power you wont get 125-130 over 1/4 mile. Is it hitting the rev limiter when you cross the line?

I don't want it to hit 125-130 in a quarter mile. I want its top speed around there. But I know this thing can break 13's in the quarter. I may need to play with suspension and the diff some more. I'm at 14.187 in the quarter right now just messing with the gear box.

You don't even need to trap 100mph to do 13s... And in real life, this car would be capable of 12s.

That said, thanks to the powerband, 13s are a bit of an ask and the gearing required to get there will not do much more than 100mph flat-out.

The most important game in this case is the suspension tuning, the exchange is in the background in my opinion, ranging from track to track but this and a very nice car to drive, bought the dlc 3 because it

I suggest you install the aerodynamic kit, because it really helps to increase speed, if you repair the aero kit on the lower back increases the PP in more than large aircraft, but increases slightly, use the route x also helps to soften the engine making more horses, as the exchange, changed gear to end at 4,500 rpm and improved a little, keeping at 240 km / h, the others are marching to the taste of each one from track to track

Actually this point the car was to be desired, because even with 200 to 220 hp, he would have pulled a much larger, were to be desired in this respect

In real life I have a VW 1600 cc - year 1968 the time has never scored from 0 to 100 km / h, but I believe that travel faster than the game, I believe less than 13seg

Great i was looking for this thanks

thank you for see and comment ! i hope you liked

I'm trying really hard to understand what you are saying.

I have a '67 Bug in real life, and even without engine/drivetrain modifications, it already does mid to low 14s. I have seen people making some slight to heavy modifications to their engines (new heads, increase displacement, etc.) and these cars are super-versatile. And like you said, the gearing doesn't really help matters in terms of top speed, seeing as how this is one of those cars that is hard to strike a perfect balance of top speed and the best acceleration you can get your hands on.

For the weight, it just doesn't need that much power to get it going X)

Obviously in-game physics and other things aren't exactly the same as real life, but they are pretty damn close. Top speed for a stock '60s Bug was only around 75 mph, but even small things like an improved intake and exhaust system made it a ton better to drive.

Future plans include a dragbug. Gonna dump way too much money into it and then I'm pretty sure dad's gonna go crash it at the strip, hehe.

thanks for comment, the truth and that this modified car makes a lot of damage in relation to others in the same category, say in a sprint level, but in general, and as you said, versatile, just for a walk, a trip not too long, but it remains a true classic

Glad to see I wasn't the only one who had issues with this little guy flipping over. I eventually got a decent tune together, will post later on tonight once I can get away from work. Sure is a fun car to toss around though!

Well guys I got this thing down to 13.7's in the 1/4mile and a top speed of 109mph and i think i'm gonna stick with that. Now it's time to try and tune out the acrobatics.

I can't keep mine up right either. Every time I take it out I feel like Jeremy Clarkson in a Reliant Robin. It is alot of fun though...

is true, with this configuration it makes the curves in parts, sounds funny, but cornering and good!

Try using the Mid range turbo, mine is doing low 13.5s with a mid one.

Its configuration is good, but the suspension needs to be improved because the car handles well in the open curves, closed curves but must reduce well to get around, I'll do some more adjustments and we will see later

With your setup ,test in 10 laps in HSR, my best time ever was 1.16 '723 with soft tires sports and high turbo

Hi all, thought i would share my tune.
R/H F20-R20
S/R F12.4-R11.5
D/E F8-R8
D/C F7-R7
ARB F6-R6
CAMBER F0.9-R2.0

Full down force and standard diff. Still a work in progress but not bad so far.
Hope it helps someone:tup:

Thanks for your post, i try this setup after...i post one feedback later

when i get home im going to try some of these sttings for road courses. but FWIW this car can run in the 12s. i got mine to run 12s. i think 12.80s or so with the high rpm turbo. i havent tried it with midrang turbo post weight reducing update.

Nice little thread! I've finally gotten around to this iconic car and already have several models. I fitted one out a few days ago with all the goodies and got her up to 505 PP. I then had my Bob's race her on Grand Valley without any changes to default tune and they took first. I drove her yesterday and had to add some ballast to the front to correct the spin out issue. I'm gonna tweak her this morning (after some coffee) and take her on the Grand Valley Endurance myself. I'll post what I come up with.

One question, I have had no issues with rollover whatsoever. So I'm curious to read about it?

Below is a link where it goes from 0 to 100 km / h in just over 6 seconds! I hope you enjoy and help everyone!
