I beat the GTWC with a stock CLK GTR it wasnt that hard. :sly:

I did exactly the same thing. But the only problem was that the car could not handle
that good on Twin Ring Motegi Superspeedway that good :grumpy:

I had to chase down the group C XJR9 but i won eventually :D

88.7% nearly there :)

Certain races in GT4 are hard in that you cannot add horsepower to buy a win. You actually have to learn the track and drive with skill.
Somebody said they were hoping for a challange in the Rally and Grand Canyon Hard was mentioned. This is a tough race if you have not learnt the track in both directions. Adding power will not give you a win until you have learnt the track.
I spent 3 hours to win these 2 rallies. I used a 206 rally car with 400 hp and got 11 points per race. The 5 second penalties are a painas the AI will tap you as you pass and you get the penalty. Find a slow corner where the AI is not good at and pass there. If you get a penalty when passing on a slow corner its impact is lessened and you have more chance to block after the pass.
Forward and Reverse directions are like two different tracks at Grand Canyon as the fast parts in forward become slow in reverse.

Yes you do have to get used to the tracks :)

In arcade mode I have it on 10 fast. the only problem is, that for
us experienced drivers it's too easy :)

I hope none of you are straining your arms patting yourselves on the back

I hit the ground running. I didn't need to aquire any extra amount of trainning. But through the thousands of races I've done, I've become quite the pro.

We are not patting our arms on our back actually :) So you think your better than us?

i have been playing gt4 since it came out (NA version) not to far in game but i call my self some what of a pro at gt4 since i do have not a problem to beat all the licenses, driving missions, and special condition races done the ree\st of the game is quit easy.

ok ok so i had a problem on a couple of license test, and mission 34, so what i still beat them.

The only track in arcade mode I can win consistently on 10 fast without cheating is Nurburgring. Most other tracks I find difficult.

Nurburgring is extremly easy once you get to know it :)

Either that or the AI is just dumbed down on the track. I go with the stupid AI in this case

i never race at the ring mainly because its long and boring to me, or mabe its because i hateded it after i finally beat mission 34. damn that mission was hard. i spent 4 hours on that with out blinking. ok mabe i blinked a couple times BUT THATS IT!

Actually, there are a bunch of us forum regulars who whine about just the opposite problem: We cry and blubber about how the game is way too easy.

For instance, I'm just getting to the rally events, and I'm blowing through them like you-know-what through a goose. What is this? I've seen so much sobbing and moaning about their difficulty, and I'm winning most of them on my first try!

I've heard that Grand Canyon Hard, at least, is pretty tough. I sure hope so, because everything I've seen so far is a snap.

This game was actullally fairly easy for me, although I own all of the GTs. It wasn't that hard to buy a car win a few races and buy a RX-7 and win the Japan championship. I'd say I'm more like the ones who said has been to easy so far. The liscences on this game are easy as **** I beat all of the in one try ( Mostly silvers too ) I have yet to figure out why so many people complain about them.

Easy? EASY!?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again - Try to complete Mission 34 five times in a row. If you can do that, then you can probably say the game is too easy...

this is the best thread i've read in a while i hate it when people complain that races are too easy when they use a 1800 BHP minolta and expect it to be a close race. 👎

Well, for me GT4 has been much easier than GT3, although GT3 was the first GT game i'd actually bought. But i'd played 1 & 2 many times before. I origonally bought my PS2 for GT4 and got GT3 used for dirt cheep and ended up wait over a year for this game.... Hook...Line....Sinker.....

The lisences seemed much easier to get bronze in, but I'm still far away from all gold, but I'm sure i'll get there, I just need to spend the time.

And I will say this, and this is the MOST important thing to remember.

If you're REALLY a good driver in real life and are always striving to learn more about driving, dispire the flaws in the physics GT3&4 can improve your real life racing. It'll help you see a side of your driving you havn't seen, help you want to improve. Help you realise how much track knowledge matters. Things like that. If your mind is open willing to learn, GT4 will teach you. This isn't to say go play GT4 to learn to race, but rather, use it as a tool, just like cones in parking lots.

I could'nt agree with you more. People who do that are wussy's :indiff:

Being the world's best Gran Turismo player (self-proclaimed) has made me better at every other racing game I play no matter what system.

i try to make all my races around 100 plts. just for competition but its still pretty easy. i'm not one of those who r saying the game is easy, no no there are some tricky parts. but its the Japaese Gt Championship thats easy. i mean whyw did they let almost every american race car into those races?

It's one thing to not beat Mission 34, it's another to not pass the license tests.

Waaah, this game is too hard, the license tests are too hard the special conditions are too hard the races are too hard why won't the car stay on the track? It's too hard to start, it's too hard to stop and it's too hard to turn! Why doesn't the NAAAAAWS make you go sooooper fast? Nurburgring is TOO NARROW! Suzuka has too many turns in it and Laguna Seca has too much sand! Waaaah, I want it EASY. The cars should stick to the track like glue, and my car should always be way faster, otherwise, what's the point? Waaaaah, why won't my car go where I point it?

I want a game I can finish in 10 hours because I have the attention span of a gnat and the dexterity of a moose on tranquilizers.

Okay, just kidding ;) I'm at about 80% and I LOVE this game! I just can't believe how many people come here to complain. It's like they want validation for their feelings of inferiority about the game. Guess what? The game doesn't suck, YOU DO. But you can get better.

I started playing the GT series with GT3. It came with my PS2. I tried to play it and I got so frustrated after a week that I just stopped. Came back after a month and the same thing happend. A month later I came back to it, and something just clicked. I got better and better. But look, at no time did I think to myself, "Wow, this game sucks, it's too hard!" I knew other people had done it, I knew it could be done, I knew I was the problem in the equation, and I got better. You can too, but it will take time. If you don't have the time to practice then this probably isn't the game for you. It doesn't mean the game sucks, though. It just means you have neither the proper skills to enjoy the game nor the time to acquire them.

Anyway, sorry for the rant, I haven't had my coffee this morning.

I was about to smack you upside your noggin! Welcome aboard GTPlanet :)

The ring is so totally NOT boring, the length of the track is what makes it perfect to race... its so, unrepetitive. I bet you hate it just because of mission 34. TRUST ME, once you beat it, not only will you jump up and down, but you'll revisit Nurburgring, because its such an awesome track, and you actually will know how to drive it :)

Right on the spot dude!

I hate the posts that go: "I was mowing the grass at every turn but my bad a$$ xxxx with all the mods still kicked butt by 30 laps because the AI doesn't know how to drive for sheit!"

i did beat mission 34. the only reason i don't like it is because i just beat it a few days ago, so mabe i'll like it later, but for now i have had enough of the ring.

Mission 34 sux because of the stupid heavy whale of a car you're given to drive. The nurb ring is so much more fun in a BMW V12 LMR when you can get 5:29 lap times with just an oil change. I spent more time driving the nurb ring on practice laps then anything else in the game.

I agree, I want the game easier too.........
