in my opinion it would not be possible to buy all the cars to test drive and live a REALl life outside of a PS3 which is a Games machine for recreation, not a lesson in life skills...and the great Kaz decreed that thou shall not cheat, dupe or anything else that ruins my vision of how the GAME should be experienced!

Loosen up and let everyone enjoy the cars you spent six years modelling!

Oh and if we are going to boycott, don't boycott this one as the money is already in the bank, boycott GT6

The point is to enjoy the game. Relax, play, see where it takes you. Don't just play to acquire all the cars. You will be able to collect them as you play over time.

If this does not suit you then quit!

Lol i guess you are right. Just needed to get some rants out of my system . I'm not going to stop altogether, just maybe play it occasionally now. Anyways considering the number of insane games coming out this year I doubt I'll be inclined to play this game that often.

Im happy that PD is adressing the issues that are being exploited by the SB generation.

Hopefully they will also find ways to stop duping. GT5 should be played by those who love cars and driving, not SB´s who just want a quick fix before they move on to ruin the next game.

I hope they find a way to stop duping, too. I do not see why you think it's up to you to say who GT5 should be played by. If someone plays GT5 for a quick fix before they move on to another game, they are supporting the development of many games. They are HELPING you. The vast majority of the people who paid for GT5 are not hardcore about racing games, and GT5 was very expensive to develop. Say thank you instead of being a snob. If you really take this game that seriously you need to reevaluate, friend.

Personally, I only get an hour or two a week, absolute max, to play games. I often go months without turning the PS3 on. I am willing to invest in one anyway, and pay for games, but I am frustrated by gT5's rewards for races. The game is much different from GT4 and it's basically unplayable without endless grinding. I have no idea how to dupe a car, but I did try to make a trade to get a car that was competitive. How in the world do you think I ruined your game?

I think it would be awesome if when you were in a serious accident in GT5 you can't play for 6 months as you recuperate. And if the wreck is bad enough, the game is over, permanently. You can't start a new game, ever. Maybe give me a bronze Dale Earnhardt trophy.

No kidding. Kaz's update amounts to scamming thousands of gamers out of their in-progress trades, and he did it in the name of avoiding trading problems?

Like all things GT5, this was late and yet rushed and still kinda screwy. I love GT5, but Kaz should have handled this more like an adult. We just had a major update, so this comes across as a split second decision with no warning, that could have been handled a week after an announcement saying trading would be curtailed soon.

However each individual chooses to enjoy the game is surely their choice, i have 3 accounts and have only added 2 since GT5 so i can have better opportunities in the UCD and then send my goodies onwards to my main account, i'm not harming anyone, it's not affecting anyone elses game at all. Dupers can dupe and it affects no one but them and it's their choice.

Traders can trade and it only affects the people trading, give away a car you don't want and get one you do (Fun). If you don't like the trading going on then ignore it it doesn't affect your enjoyment of the game.

My point is that everyone should be able to enjoy how they want, the features were put there to be used and then when they don't like how they are being used they take part of it away. You don't see bike manufacturers coming and changing their wheels to square ones because the round ones were too much fun or because the bike was being exploited and going too fast. This whole thing is ridiculous and like i say we should all be allowed to enjoy how we want not how someone else thinks we should enjoy it.

Funny enough, the reason why many people were duping is so they could enjoy driving their favorite cars without having to put up with this game's horrible design in order to get them.

It did because now I can't trade with my sub account, cars that costs more than 1 million $.

Forgot to mention that my sub-accounts are used for the seasonal events, so I don't have to grind FOREVER.

I'm all for the trading, but GT1 to GT5 prologue were good games without the ability to trade, it's really not that bad.
GT5 has a lot of other things that makes it worthwile.

Do you know why GT1-GT4 were such good games? I didnt beat all of the aspec races in a month. With the way GT5 is going down hill Im fixing to start over on GT4

Ditto and then I could use this extra cash to buy some cars perhaps not seen in my main UCD. I earned then money as "allowed" by the game so I should be able to gift them back to my main account if I want to.

Personally if it is a choice between conducting real life issues over sitting at the PS3 for days just to buy another virtual car to take for spin then Kaz looses!

If however he decides to stop overreacting and let players that keep him in the lifestyle he is now acustomed, then great. Dupers will dupe, players will play...for fun!

I'm sorry did you design GT5? If you didn't, please do not spout such fascist drivel. Who the hell gave you authority on deciding who should and should not play GT5? If you love cars and driving so much you should be playing iRacing or something like that and not GT5. But I bet you can't afford the subscription money so here you are touting GT5 as a game for "pure racers". GT5 is a game for whoever likes it, in whatever way they like it and your garbage views mean squat. For all your talk you are surpassed in intelligence and knowledge by an armchair. You just blurted out an extremely narrow minded statement. While I disagree with your viewpoint on this it doesn't bother me at all that you enjoy the game in this way. However, while you play the game to "see where it takes you" others find fun in collecting. I played an incredible amount of hours of this game and still only had less then half the cars. I decided that I was having fun trading and acquiring more cars. I still relax and play the game but they have put out of reach the ability to get all of the cars for almost everyone. The amount of time required to do this is absolutely insane. Why is it that half the people on this board insist on the game being played the way they like to play it. How other people enjoy their experience doesn't affect you at all. People duping doesn't affect anyone but the jerks who only care about their cars being rare (thus affirming their self value) or people who want to use their rare cars to extort as much as possible from others when trading. Duping has helped a lot of people without time be able to enjoy the cars they want without investing the enormous amount of time necessary to get them. I have seen cars donated to people who deleted saves, people with sick kids, etc by the boatload. While some may still have done it do you really think so many would have without duping and the ability to trade multiple times a day and to trade rare cars? We all invested good money in this game and should be allowed to enjoy it in the way each of us see fit. Now... I might just quit playing. I have beaten almost every race in the game and acquiring and using new cars was what was keeping the game fresh for me. With these newer gen systems came the ability to update games which was a great way to add content and fix bugs. It shouldn't be used to significantly alter features of the game because the fans aren't playing the game in the manner the developer wants. **** them, we're the fans and the ones buying the game.
