You know what's frustrating?

Chatting to a friend on Vent, unlocking modules on a plane, being distracted and spending your last few Golden Eagles on modules you could've unlocked with research points just as well. :grumpy:

Want to know that grins my gears? MLP-themed skins for planes. :irked: Whenever I see one, I will do my best to do a kamikaze strike against it.

Hmm.. now I have most of the planes I want from US tree.. which tree should I work on next?

@Leonidae@MFT : Germany, if you don't have them levelep up already.

Played Germany in arcade today. Not even funny. I'm making a crapload of Lions by flying these planes. The amount of kills you get is outstanding and, honestly, you don't have to care about losing a plane in AB. Trading a kill for a death is absolutely worth it, but even if you're just plowing through the enemy furball and head-on everything, you'll get pletny of kills. Much easier than getting even half the amount of kills with American planes... Farming AB with Germany really solves any shortage of Lions one could possibly have, imho

Yeah, but the asymmetric design of most German planes drives me up the walls.. Oh well..

What are you referring to? The side intake? The side opening canopy?
Go take a long look at the Bf 109 F4, look at it. You know you want it... :p

It was designed as a bomber interceptor. Use it for it's purpose and you have no issues.

Also BNZ.

I need about one more Arcade Battle to unlock the BF109 G10. Afterwards, I'll just have to grind upgrades for the G2, G6 and G10 to ace them 👍

And while I like the K4 and the FW190 D-series, I'm not yet sure whether I'm going to grind my way towards the BR 6+ planes... I could finally make good use of my D13, though. On the other hand, I'm already raping stuff while queued with a BR 5.7 plane - just adding an additional, even better plane without changing anything sound delicious  Looking forward to that lineup.

My only 5.7 BR plane is the B-17G.. Not even the F7F-1 can match that BR :odd: But, I've started working on the Germans and Japanese.

Hm, I think the only plane I've got that is > 5.7 BR is the premium FW190-D13 at 6.3. And the F8F-1B, once I unlock that one (which I'm looking forward to).

And the F7F-1 having a lower BR than the B17G is kinda awkward, isn't it? Especially with the airstart. But I always found fighters and bombers hard to compare in terms of BR.

Bought the Japanese campaign with discount (350 rub ~9$) and got the premium A6M5 Ko. Real bargain. Tier 4 fighter anyone? :D

Also, got the Tiger I. It's a real kick-ass. First fight on this and I had 7 kills and 0 deaths. Now I know why playing on 3rd tier Soviet tanks in RB is such a pain.

The Snails should fix the balance somehow.

Yesterday, I was chasing one on my A26 Invader bomber and I almost got him, but was shot down by another Shinden.

I already have both American and Japanese campaign since Dec 2012.

Ok, bit more grinding with the Yankees so I can get the B-24.. I'm sorely tempted to get that premium Spitfire for the Brits just because of the bonus stats.. But the plane is bit of a paper tiger. Fast? Yes. Decently armed? Yes. Agile? Somewhat. Durable? Hell no.. :irked:

That is why RB and SB is so good. You don't have to care about armour as the ability to not get shot is a lot higher.

I play with a mouse and play RB only. Hate arcade and SB isn't really possible with a mouse.

Since when was the Spitfire "somewhat" agile... :/
Personally, I think the 4x .303's + 2x Hispano's is the best armament for a fighter. The ammo load is very notable as well. The equivalent in the British tree is the Spitfire LF Mk IX, a low-medium altitude fighter that still climbs like a beast! Expensive bugger though... :( Very good grinder especially for T4/5. It's called the "Spacefire" for a reason!

Hm.. I guess I'll give RB a shot.. And Spitfire doesn't tickle my fancy that much as it has dreadful roll rate.

RB is a blast. Even with a mouse. There's a bit of a learning curve, but it pays off. First off because defensive flying, good maneuvers and energy management pays off. Remember diving on a guy, he turns around and is on you six immediately? Yeah, no such stuff in RB.

Second, without the lead indicator, there's a real chance to dodge stuff - especially headons and deflection shots. Which balances planes better, IMHO, as firepower isn't the most important thing ever.

Third, the rewards are nice.

Plane performance is crucial, though. Seems that way to me, at least. Especially climb rate. Stock planes seem like a less viable option than in arcade. But mixing both up is nice. Gives you a change of pace from time to time.

The only mouse related issue I've noticed is some wobbling when pushing the plane to its limits, but that's about it.

On the topic of RBs: Got two kills and an assist last night in the 190 A4 without getting hit once 👍 Getting the hang of it rather quickly!

But then, mouse-aim is not meant for extreme flying. Keyboard is better... :p
Well, I use combination of both (elevators, for example, are mapped to my fourth and fifth mouse button)... Still, I sometimes have some trouble with my nose wobbling all over the place. Pulling out of a dive can cause my instructor to struggle a lot, which seems to cause the wobbling.

All of them. Can't run, can't turn, lack punch.
I don't really like the Russian planes, either. Their nose-mounted cannons are great in arcade, but I'm really concerned with the lack of ammo in RB.

That's how I farm the Lions. :D
First ride on the Pz IV G.

Custom skins are invisible to other players. The in-game decals, however, are visible.
I like using them to make replicas of real machines. Like these:

RB is not meant to shoot from 700 meters at every opportunity.
In RB, you must get closer to the target and shoot only when you're sure you'll hit him.
The Yaks are pretty fast and agile, but their ammo capacity is small, not to be wasted. The 9T also has a kick-ass 37mm cannon that easily crushes everyone who gets hit with it, but you only have 30 rounds. Make good use of it. ;)

True and well known.

Having thirty rounds makes multiple kills much harder, though.
