Because your PM inbox was full.AutoToonedIve recieved hundreds of PMs, none of which were warnings from the administration.
1) I do this voluntarily I'm not going to waste my time starting up AIM and seeing if you're there just to give you a warning. The only one I ever recieved was posted publically. I forget which super mod it was, but he said it was the only way he could think of to notify me. Hey, thats another reason for me to point out how poorly this banning was executed. The only way to notify me? He must not have taken the time to notice that I had several forms of contact listed publically.
2) I personally have a policy of doing all warnings on the site itself, whether that means by PM or on the forum. This way, the warning is documented and saved forever, in case Jordan or someone else needs to look at it (yes, I save all of my PMs). Doing it off-site means that it's not as available to other mods if actions need to be reviewed, and I don't have the time to site around and guess if the email address in your profile is one you actually use. I've actually sent a warning to a user by email before, but never got a response, so now I always do it by PM or on the site so that I can keep tabs of whether or not that person received/read it.
Yes, it was too hard, because it's impossible. It's either ban or no ban. If you don't like that, complain to the developers of vBulletin.I even went out of my way to say if I really was being so widely reported (and not just biased against from the administration because I didnt like the gtpremium racket) that they could just ban me from the entire community and just leave my access restricted to the photography and graphics forum.
I guess that was too hard.
