You gotta remember that the real-life counterparts to many of the GT5P cars have fancy-shmancy traction control, anti-lock brakes, and stability control that are all tuned to the very specific setup of the production model. (Chevrolet calls it "Active Handling System" on the 'vette)

GT's traction, anti-lock, and stability systems are all generic and fairly esoteric by being reduced to just a number setting, and many people play with all of them turned off.

Drive a Z06 in real life with Active Handling on, and with it off and you'll encounter 2 very different beasts. The real question is: Does GT5P's Z06 with all assists off behave just like the real-life Z06 with all of its fancy computer assists off? Any other setup and you're looking at the difference between a very specific assist in real-life versus a generic assist in-game.

Thats what I have been trying to say so far. GTs driver aids are no where near the ones for real cars, but with them off they are pretty much as real as youll get on a console.
