So Nvidia just released an update for their graphics cards specifically for watch dogs, they partnered up with the Watch Dogs makers to come up with a few new ways of processing graphics.

Blog post here

I'm curious to know if anyone who got it early has noticed any differences?

Just bought a copy off someone for just $35 :) They had spare code from buying a Nvidia graphics card so they sold me it.

If anyone buys one of these, the game is downloaded through UPlay (Ubisoft's PC game client)

Nothing different with the new driver, might just be an SLI profile and minor stuff. Game runs fine for me so no worries.

Just had someone hack into my game while online demon souls style. They got to 54% hacking on my phone in game but I managed to locate the guy in a crowded place and just shot him. Nice to get it right first time. Cool stuff.

Another nice touch is hacking cameras to see the layout before you enter. Shame all this has been overshadowed by graphics.

uplay has been fine so far.

Still waiting for this to show on uPlay, been like 6 hours since I activated it. Does it ever usually take this long? Not going to get it by midnight :(

Not sure what you mean but Watch Dogs is the 27th of May so I guess it will show then.

Nvidia has launched a tweak guide. Shows each graphic setting in depth with various comparisons. Worth checking out even if you don't have a pc.

Has a neat slider to compare. Tons of them to look at.

Reports are coming in that illegal copies of the game ironically contain malware designed to turn your PC into a Bitcoin farm for someone else.

Saw the game in JB HI-FI for just $70. Still waiting for reviews to decide on whether or not I get it.

I paid £25 for the PC-DVD (3 discs). PS4 is £40-50.

We even had preorder download codes for £20 where I heard PSN UK download is £60.

Someone invaded my game online and hacked my phone :) Just couldn't find the guy. Was wandering around like a dumbass.

I would say don't go expecting a GTA Rockstar quality game. The Euphoria physics engine in GTA is simply brilliant. You could go on and on about all the things they put in. I'm half expecting reviews to be a bit harsh on the quality ie not up to GTA and what was promised ie next gen hyperbole. To me its part GTA and part very good game mechanics/situations around hacking and stealth coupled to an intriguing story. The road blocks do work to stop cop cars behind you like in the reveal video.

They note on the site that it will show up when it becomes available, so midnight is my guess.

The fictional take on real cars look good, better than most open world games.

Too bad the handling is bad. Got the game yesterday and enjoying it so far, but the handling has to be the biggest gripe. Aside from that, it would have been nice if pure stealth was possible. From what I've heard, you are forced to use weapons at times.

Agreed, but it seems most reviewers say Aiden is a really bland character although the other cast hold their own.
That's the thing that bothers me. Story is a big part of these games for me. Edward Kenway works because he has a clear character arc. But if Aiden is flat, it's a problem.

I don't think it's meant to be considered as next-gen on PC...just on the consoles ;)

Consoles is what I had in mind. ;)

Handling I got used to pretty quickly after being disappointed when first playing, it's no GTA though but much better than Saints Row. I find it quite fun now driving.

This is what I don't like. Watch Dogs will be a good game, probably an 8/10, but it will live in the shadow of GTA5 and everything will be compared to it. I won't like to compare it to GTA, because it's absolutely nothing like GTA. It's more like present day Assassin's Creed.

I probably won't get Watch Dogs until June, so I can save money by getting it used

Keyboard or pad? I've seen some comments it being utter garbage to drive with a kb.

I ordered my copy yesterday it will get to my house by thursday, can't wait. 👍

Has anyone figured out how to get into a match of online decryption with friends. I can get into a private match but I can't figure out how to get into a public match with a friend.

Pretty much this, though shovel elements from Splinter Cell and Far Cry and you get the full picture.

I will dare and say is a better game than GTA V, character were so stupid in that one that it was heart wrenching going through the whole campaign with people saying f:censored:k all the time in a very childish way, not to mention the shooting was done to endless repetition, it had some interesting missions but it felt really padded in many ways it drawn my interest after I finished the main story and couldn't care less about side quests.

The escapist review seems to be giving it a higher score due to the fact that it evaluates experience rather than features (ala IGN giving stupid reviews like the Wolfenstein review and wanting every game to use health regeneration and ****). I'm on my 4th day and I still haven't reached 3 act, side quests and all that. The game does have some boring points though (the retarded CTOS unlock the area side quest ala far cry 3 can get a bit tedious, like find a guy with the code -> get to the server, is quite repetitive).

Still, it feels like a very alive environment and is quite absorbing, there is nearly something to do and the player invading one's game give some variety to the game, apart from being varied on it's own and not repetitive, as the shoot-outs in GTA V, in WD you get alternatives, heck even if you neutralize cops by shooting them in the legs rather than killing them the karma meter doesn't drop as much, and the environment do react quite interestingly to you behaviour. Apart from the fact that you can do nearly everything using security systems, and cameras and such.

I wish the controllers weren't as sensitive in PS4 though, I guess you could change that on PC, but on PS4 I'm kinda screwed.

I have looked and looked online and can not find out how to play online decryption the 4v4 mode with friends except in a private match.

If anyone is a search expert or knows how to do it please help me out.

If you can create a party or group to carry into a lobby I would love to know how to do it. Without that feature the game mode is pretty worthless. I can't imagine them leaving out being able to play with friends. I've got to be over looking how to do it.

Got the game in the mail today, I'm pretty pleased so far. The graphics are not as gorgeous and shiny as they first presented us but what can you expect from a 400 dollar box (PS4).

The driving was a little scary at first, felt slow but I think I got the hang of it now. Shooting is a lot better, it feels how you would expect. Movement of the player, I thought this would remind me of Assassins Creed but it doesn't. Felt more like Splinter Cell which isn't a bad thing at all. Moving from places to places silently, sneaking behind walls or whatever.

The hacking is pretty entertaining. I like it how you can be silent, get your things done without even been inside or the obvious way, shooting your way in and or out. So far I like the challenge of doing it all as silent as possible and for good reputation.

Also got hacked by a guy but he ran under a car so he wasn't a problem. Really like this feature, gets your blood pumping! Need to explore more of the multiplayer part of this game, didn't felt the need to hack him back or what ever. I'll do that later on when I got enough gear and experience to do it good :) .

Upgrading feature is nice too, not sure if there is enough choice/diversity but good for now. They are easy to get and a lot of fun to play with! Some perks you just need and others not so but eventually you want to use them all. Don't be afraid to use your diamonds, play well and you'll earn them back quickly.

The vehicles sound good and there seem to be enough of different cars, trucks etc. Haven't tried them all of course, just 1 naked bike, a car that looks like an Evo 5 or 6, little Lotus like sportscar, a Mustang and a sedan.

Wish there was a photo mode, not sure why they didn't, this game has some very very nice scenes.. But that's so far my only real complaint..
