...we still no way to race our way.

Arcade Mode is a joke. We need to be able to choose course conditions, tire wear, AI opponents, race distance, and start procedure.

I know PD will tell me I need to go online, but it is very hard to find 15 others who can invest the time to race or choose anything other than the same 5 cars to race with.

Wouldn't it be great to be able to run a 1-2 hour race with 8 LMP1 cars and 8 GT cars of your choosing?

Seriously this game is this one simple feature away from being something I could never turn away from... and that what makes it so frustrating.

I did not think about them having trouble, but knowing PD, they would need two completely seperate leaderboards for each class and over-complicate themselves. :lol:

I mean, if you look at the finishing order and you do not know which car is in your division... I will stop now!

We have to make this second highest wish after the sound wish as finally PD are working their way through them. We need it sssoooo bad.
 
I don't even bother to go into arcade mode so definitely not high on my list. An event creator in career mode would be cool and we need more online features and better payout for online races.
 
Yeah I totally agree with this.
I'm really glad the new Toyota TS030 is in the game now, but where am I to use it? only in the same 24mins race in Special License?

We really need some more meaningful offline races.

GT5 had custom one-make races and arcade races where we had the option to enable mechanical damage, tire/fuel wear, and standing starts. So, I don't think it has anything to do with technical limitations, it seems PD simply doesn't want players to have options and to be able to enjoy the game.
 
I like taking photos of my cars. Imagine if I could have the AI drive 15 of them alongside me. If that photo oppurtunity arose, I would be like...

Hell, even if I could simply pick every car the opponents drive from the car list (Motorstorm Pacific Rift, anyone?), I would still be like...

It's unbelievable this sort of customisation isn't included, especially seeing as longer races have been completely (and cynically) removed.
 
31) Arcade Mode Races: Why is there no option to choose whether to practice/qualify or not? Why is there no option to choose our starting place on the grid if we so wish? Why is there no option to choose opponent cars? Why is there no option to choose their tyres & ours separately? Why is there no option to choose the slipstream setting? Why is there no option to choose the amount of AI cars on the grid? Why is there no option to turn off the rubber band effect? Why are there no options to turn on or off such settings as tyre wear, fuel usage, & crash damage? Why have you given us a huge amount of cars & tracks, but not given us common sense options that would allow us to use them to their full potential? Please, give us access to all possible options so that we can fully enjoy the awesome cars & tracks in this game.

Completely and wholeheartedly agree OP. That level of customization for races should be a no brainer for a game like GT. I am at a complete loss as to why PD continues to not expand the options for people within the game.
 
I completely agree - with one caveat. Better scalable AI.

Your suggestions & decent AI are the fundamental requirements that need fulfilling before I would ever consider buying another game from PD

Well, we have three of those five conditions in arcade mode (for the tracks that have weather/time options) so I don't see it as being a joke.

I think though that such a big change will come with GT7 - so there is hope yet.
