In my view, I think that the main content will be like that:
-Lotus 97T
-McLaren MP4/4 (maybe, depends on licenses...)
-Toleman TG183B/TG184 (maybe, same reasons...)
-The British Formula 3 car he drove in 1983 (maybe, also same reasons...)
-Interlagos (Kart track and F1 circuit)

If PD has a surprise for us (which I doubt this...) we can wait also:
-Imola Circuit (the track where he had his fatal accident)
-Autodromo Estoril (the track where he took his first pole position & win with the Lotus 97T)
-Adelaide Street Circuit (if you remember, PD promised a second Australian track for GT6, so.....)

I'm 100% sure that we will not see his Williams FW16, because the license belongs to Codemasters for the F1 2013...:grumpy:
Wouldn't want to see the Williams, watching Senna drive that car was painful, he hated the car, it kept having some issues.

Senna Documentary is amazing :)

@Johnnypenso - I don't mean my comment on the situation as any disrespect to Senna and it's probably got something to do with me being 4 when he died that I don't see the direct issue some people are having with it. I don't think it'd be tacky to do if implemented correctly.

@Samus - You will always get people trying to replicate things even if it's Senna or anyone else. It's why video games get blamed for world violence but I don't watch the history channel and think "Wow, that German got shot through the face. I must do this on Call Of Duty!" because I'm not a simpleton. If simpleton's want to recreate something like that then let them, they're probably all 12 year olds who have fornicated with everyone's mothers anyway.

I do however feel that adding anything Williams related would be disrespectful as it wasn't Imola that killed Senna, it was the Williams.

Agree with you with the Williams part, after watching a lot videos of Senna, i think it was the F1 car without a doubt.

Yes I get that but it's tying the two together that highlights it. Senna. Imola. Two words but what would most people's response be if you said them? "Oh yeah, where he died". It doesn't seem appropriate for something meant to be a tribute. Here is another example away from video games - "Celebrate the life of Kurt Cobain with this 20th Anniversary CD, featuring a shotgun and heroin on the front cover".

I don't rate Kurt Cobain at all and he's just a moron in my books but I see your point. I agree with your other point though that it could be added as a separate item later on. If not that then as a GT7 track in the future months, if not years apart from the Senna stuff.

I understand you Samus, i think the content is focused on the life of Senna, not the death of Senna.

I wouldn't mind if they add Imola though, the more content the better.

We can guess but we can't be certain, we'll have to wait and see!

I would like to see the FW16 and Imola in the game, but as 'the car' and 'the circuit', not 'the killer' and 'the place of his death'.
I hope there will be at least one other Formula car or the 97T would be so lonely :p

They good do an event at Imola like one for his 10th Anniversary:

3 lap tribute to Ayrton and Roland.

My guess would be Adelaide gp street circuit will be available with the lotus97T after all it's confirmed this is the first car we will get in senna content so it's only logical that the track he gained his first pole and win at in the lotus would be the first track we receive.

Then a version of the mclaren with possibly donington
His first pole and win was Estoril, in the 97T. That pairing would make sense with a Senna pack.

I disagree with this. Apples to oranges. Schumacher's skiing accident had nothing to do with racing, cars, or his career. Imola plays an important role in the story of Senna, it should be included IMO.
yea i feel that way too. I understand why it might be too controversial for some people. But when I race on Hockenheim i think of Clark, and whenever Glen comes into rotation on iracing i cant help but think about Cevert.

Besides, we got a 2013 version of Circuit De La Sarthe after Allan Simonsen died there that same year and no one bats an eyelid because no one knows who he is. I agree that it's not 'Simonsen content' but...
But that's precisely the point. Bundling an Aston and Le Mans in a 'Simonsen pack' would be terrible.

We also forget that Senna wasn't the only person who died that day, Roland Ratzenberger also died and Barichello also had a massive crash that he was lucky to walk away from. Besides, we got a 2013 version of Circuit De La Sarthe after Allan Simonsen died there that same year and no one bats an eyelid because no one knows who he is. I agree that it's not 'Simonsen content' but my point remains.

Go on then, rip my comment to pieces and call me blasphemous. :D

There's a good chance that may have been modeled prior to the accident (as PD did before in 2010 with GT5 and their demo with the Peugeot 908s) therefore (along with it not being included in a pack celebrating that driver's life), its not in any way the same. While the Foundation allowed all that to be shown in all its raw entirety (its a documentary, which means everything was going to be shown), its completely different for GT. The problem is not its inclusion at all, its including the very track where he died in a pack made to celebrate his life.

The Lotus 97t it's a great addition for the game; hoping to see more cars related to Ayrton Senna, especially the McLaren's and the Toleman Hart.

Same here. I'm reminded of Stefan Bellof every time I blast through Eau Rouge at Spa or Denny Hulme when going down Conrod Straight at Barthurst.

What I don't get, is why they would annouce a GT6 update to celebrate Senna's life on the anniversary of his passing? Why not on his birthday? I understand that this is the 20th anniversary of his passing, but it just seems alittle wierd to me. So, if Imola is indeed added in the update, it wouldn't seem to bother me as much.

Imola included in Senna tribute content? LOL Why would anyone even think that? Though I don't know everything about Senna, so the ONLY way Imola included in this content isn't in bad taste would be if it's widely know that Imola was Senna's favorite track AND that the Senna Institute demanded (in a nice way obviously) that the track was included. If it was his favorite track, then OK, it's not in bad taste.

Personally I expect Interlagos and the Kart track if there's a track included at all. But just based on the press release, it doesn't really sound like much aside from the Lotus will be in the initial update, and more will be added in the weeks to come. If there were a track coming, wouldn't that be something they'd be advertising on the content reveal? I'm expecting just a couple cars and some TTs around Indy and Suzuka, Maybe Monaco.

I love most everything about GT and PD. Love what they do and I don't have even a small percentage of the complaints people around here seem to have. But one thing I will say is that PD kinda sucks at "Theme Integration" in their product. NASCAR, that world tour thing, God.....a lab rat could have come up with a better use of the Top Gear licence (a simple beat The Stig powerboard times with the same cars would have been perfect......see how easy that was Kaz?). It's like they've been so obsessed with trying to replicate realism in their product for the last 15 years that they've lost their imagination or sense of fun. It's great for the racing itself, not so great for fun single player content.

As a quick example of how clinical I know they are, and how easy it would be to fix......If this Lotus F1 that's coming soon were just simply paintable, you've suddenly now got a great F1 league people could get into online, but PD being the slight sticks in the mud that they are, the car will absolutely NOT be paintable and no one wants to race online against a dozen or so of the same exact looking car, it sucks the fun right out of it. So basically what could have been an awesome addition to GT6 ends up just being another car that people use 3 times in TTs and see how fast it goes around Nurb, then it's nearly never used again. Kinda sad.

I believe this car might have the widest rear tires than any other car in the game. Only reason I am exited to see the 1/4 mile time.

Also, very quick coming out of sharp corners, I am hoping.

I just saw news and I am very happy !

PoDi do a fantastic job, I can't wait to be in the car

Meanwhile, I watched first documentary : superb ! So, we can see a kart circuit at the end of video, which could be in the game?
