I've done a search and read some older threads but haven't found any conclusive data on this subject yet:
- What effect do the varying numbers for [Weather Changeability] have on the expected weather conditions of an online lobby?
Here is what I understand so far:
- Time Progression
This is fairly straightforward.
[1] is "Real Time", where 60 minutes real time = 60 minutes game time.
[10] would be 60 minutes real time = 10 hours game time.
- Weather at Race Start
This I believe is the condition of the sky at the start of the race.
[0] would be clear skies, sunny day.
[100] would be dark skies, rain pouring down. This would naturally help change the amount of Surface Water on the track.
- Surface Water at Race Start
This seems pretty straightforward.
[0] would be a completely dry track.
[100] would be a completely wet track, even if the skies are sunny.
- Weather Changeability
This is where I am having some trouble.
[Fixed] means that the weather setting at Race Start will not change at all. This much is simple to understand.
From then on it starts to get complicated.
Does changing to [1] mean that the weather will change "once" (ie: from completely dry to completely wet)?
Would that mean that setting it to [60] would theoretically mean the weather can change 60 times? Or 60 times as fast?
Or is this setting a probability calculator, where [1] means a guaranteed chance of changing weather, [2] is a 50/50 chance, [3] is a "1 in 3 chance" etc.?
Does time progression affect this in any way?
Any info or previous testing results on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
