I'm not sure how to explain this; how can I edit my website address to show a "seperate section"? For example:

http://www.mydomain.com

...also

http://text_here.mydomain.com

That's called a sub-domain, and setting one up is different depending on the software your server is running. Ask your host about it and they should be able to lead you in the right direction.

I'm pretty new to this, but like Jordan said, it depends apon who you bought the domain from, and what the domain control panel looks like.

I use yahoo for domains, and basically, you buy a domain, such as gtplanet.net, and then you enter the domain conrol panel, and select what directs to where.

You can set up where the main domain directs to (with an IP address), and you can set up sub domains in exactly the same way. Just type in a word you wish to have as a subdomain, like "forum.gtplanet.net", and where you want is to direct to.
