Does the message in the above post mean that the WRS is just a hold out for you until gt4 comes out and once that happens you will be moving on to something else?

Also, I did my best this week (almost).

I mentioned it earlier in the week but I am going to mention it again...
The final S section of my best lap is .2 slower than the S section of my previous best. :(

Finally...
Since I am going to pick up gt4 tomorrow I will make some final announcements regarding the gt4 switch.
However, I need to see the game first. :D
Once I do get my hands on the game it will be fun times though. 👍
 
Monty,I take it you come from that part of Norway where you only see the sun for 6 months of the year...!! If I was a Saudi lady would I really have Persian in my username???:dunce:

P.S. You don't need a driving license if you are driving on a private race track...!!!:rolleyes: :dopey:
 
No Kent, I joined WRS because I'm still enjoying GT3 and wanted to keep on doing OLR's. I enjoy running most races in the WRS, but I'm not playing to win at all costs, like in BC4, where I spent almost 2000 km's on my opening race. I use WRS as a motivation to play GT3 and to relax at the same time. When GT4 is out, I'll still be part of WRS ;) . But in the beginning I'll probably skip some races, as I can only drive in the weekends and I'll need some time to unlock 'everything' in the game.

I hope you had some serious sleep last weekend, Kent, as you'll be running short of it the coming days :sly:

And well, no, I didn't get much sleep lol.

I drink and play pool too much for sleep, gt, and school. :grumpy: :lol:

I'm thinking that I will be busy though.
With the plans the GTP has made for the GT4 release and the switch over to gt4 that the WRS is going to be making... I'm sure sleep will be rare but easy to get once I've got the time. :dopey:

Also, pending on the setup of GT4 it is possible that we will not need to unlock the entire game before starting up the WRS.
I'm hoping that there will be a vast arcade mode selection (hopefully much larger than the gt3 arcade car selection).

If that is the case then there is a good chance of us getting knee deep into gt4 early on. 👍

Don't worry, I'm keeping you pal guys and girls in mind, but I'm also looking forward to getting the GT4 OLR going asap. :sly:

I said my because I only had the idea, but some other GTPlanet member put it together for me, after my not-too-fortunate attempt to create it myself...

Through the S you need to just miss the left kerb and accelerate into 3rd, then back to 2nd before youve had time to fart, then turn in on a line that catches the kerb on the right near the mountain as you exit the S.
The kerb pulls you round, meaning you're hitting 3rd before you even know it.

Sounds like a good idea, the problem will be actually doing all that ^ ;)
I will try once more, before submitting my final time, which hopefully will be at least half a second faster than the one I have gotten so far... That would make my day 👍

Ive submitted my time now, i know i am faster, but other constraints in my life have taken presedence this week, so ive had to settle for a time where i didnt hug the kerb on the first corner (losing .5 of a sec) or the left in between the two tunnels (losing another .2) or the last sections sweeping right onto the straight (losing yet another .1) which means i could have had a nice round figure in a low area, if you know what i mean. (.8 was all i wanted.)

Time submitted for my last OLR with GT3. Thanks for all the fun. 31 wins over 2 1/2 years over spanning 5 or 6 Boards. 100% complete. 100% win pct. 👍 Great racing game.

NO offence P.P; Just had a friend over yesterday telling me about these Saudi women who are super at car games because they cant, by law, drive a car in many arabic countrys, so they dig it.And since you and your friend had this persian-rug-images... 💡¨

Howdy Y'All! :dopey: I've been away for awhile & really don't know most of you who compete in the Weeklies now but I just had to enter this the "Second Anniversary Race!"
I'm more than a bit "Rusty" but will send in a time anyway, mostly as a "Tip O' the Hat" to some "Great Fellow Drivers" that were here for the Start of this deal.

Kent is about the only one left from the very beginning but I've just gotta mention:

Time submitted, havent had a chance to put more runs in since the warm up laps of Saturday. It doesn't matter in the end, :cheers: to 2 years of WRS :)

What a better way to celebrate it than submitting a time, just improved my time 0.1 secs. Cya all on the finish line and next race ;)

I've been busy all week , so 30 minutes ago I started working on this, just to have something to submit.:D Now I'm off the the 3 Meijers and 2 Wal-Marts nearby that are open 24hrs to see if any of them happened to get GT4 tonight. I'll let you know if I strike gold or not.:) Later everyone & good luck...this will be my last WRS until it switches to GT4!:dopey:
 
lucky you CFM, i called my EB games at 8:59pm (closed at 9) to ask them when they get it in.
7pm tomorrow night!..... i have to wait all day!!!!!!
 
well, nearly at the deadline, im very interested to see where i place, i have replay ready to upload as soon as the results go up. :)

I just improved my lap by ~0.300 seconds, but I barely touched the inside wall of the last tunnel with the right part of the bumper for a microsecond, so I submitted my old one :indiff:

I have to say though, that how you do the 'S' makes all the difference in the world.
My old time T3 was 0.100 faster than my new dirty time and the two cars on the Analyzer were side by side until the 'S'... Then I took the 'S' in a way similar than what VEXD described, and I could just see every section in the analyzer data being anywhere from 0.050 to 0.100 faster - for a total of 0.300 at the finish line... You really do carry all that speed from the last curve up to the line... I wish I had some more time tonight to run a few more laps, but I had school work to do until 30 minutes ago and school sometimes has to take priority ;) :D

Anyway... I had a lot of fun in this week's race 👍
My favorite car and one of my favorite tracks - what better combination to ask to celebrate the 2nd WRS Anniversary :cheers:

Not so lucky after all, none of them had it in stock yet. I'm going to try some stores in the morning, if not then I'll be at EB picking up my preorder in the evening just like you.:)
