Just seen a TVR Tuscan as a special pick in the UCD and the Mclaren MP4/4 as a Special pick in the LCD. Possible special event with one of them?
 
I’m going to guess the BX and another CUV events. Think we’ve only seen one BX One make and two CUV events(correct me if I’m wrong). Might be another WRC event, but I feel that’ll be next week.

Well shoot, would've been interesting to at least see what could've been done with the TVR. Granted part of it is me wanting to see what workaround PD would to mimic the Dewalt livery with :lol:

I do wish that for the Special Events races they were a bit more specific just how many PP are needed/recommended to make the race competitive. I tried a GR Supra '19 in a just over 600 PP state of tune (488 hp) and I wasn't making any sort of impact. Had to literally tune most major components up to 706 PP and racing tires to win and even then, it was just barely. Spent more money on upgrades than what the prize money gave out 🤦

The weekly choices, bit late to the party but I made it. :lol:
2 first time drives (Nissan VGT & Honda Gr.B)
All on hard difficulty

Watkins Glen - European Sunday 400 - Went for a stock 3.0 CSL '71. Stock 412PP. Finished P2... CRB🟢

Road Atlanta - Turbo sportscars - Nissan VGT, first time drive. Stock. It has an ugly front end, but did the job. Decent car! CRB🟢

Fuji - Supra event - Went for an over the top, fully tuned GR Supra RZ. CRB🟢

Tokyo Central - Gr.B - Honda NSX Gr.B with a Rothmans livery. Had a little rain, but not to change the tires. Kept it on the RH, made a stop for some fuel at end of lap 6. The suspension tune I did on this to make it an 'asphalt-setting' car is way off, oversteer while braking, sliding mid corner, just awful. Won, but it was for from clean in regards to the walls... CRB🔴

Brands Hatch - WTC700 - Pulled out my 'Daishin'-liveried Nissan Silvia S15 touring car. Think it has a turbo upgrade because this was to easy to win otherwise :lol: CRB🟢

That's quite the especially dull week of events. That Fuji one is absolutely busted now, people complained the AI were too fast so now they just park it in sector 3 for no reason.

Ok, I thought that was just me thinking the event was abit too easy when I did my recording for it yesterday.


And that was on the hardest difficulty.

In my opinion, the rewards are pretty much always poor. Like that Supra event this week at Fuji. Doesn't specify the recommended PP and doesn't tell you about what tires are recommended. You waste a fortune upgrading your car and even then, it takes some reckless and aggressive driving to win 80K (120K) if it was "clean" Yeah, all credit to anyone who could take the 120K. Should be worth 300K to make it worthwhile (450K with clean bonus)
PD are about as tight as you can get when it comes to discrepancies between the most expensive cars and prize money/roulette rewards.

For me, the tyres are the indicator.

It's just a shame there's no info "pre-race", and one has to load up the event, exit again just to watch the replay to show what the opponents have equipped.
 
For the Supra race I eventually decided that the Mk IV could either win or be clean in a 700PP tune on sports softs and me driving, and built a spare Mk V to get it done. The fastest lap was a 1'41,3 - no faster than the Mk IV, but with just a tad more room for manoeuvring around the AI in corners to keep it clean.

But holy BLEEP the rally race. I mean, how the BLEEP am I supposed to get through this pack of buttheads cleanly in order to have a shot at the Quattro that is blasting away at the front with a power to weight ratio about 1,5x better than anything else. They had held that formation for about a lap and a half by the time of taking the screenshot and continued doing so until pitting after the 5th lap. Note my throttle bar - they were in no hurry to go anywhere. Eventually I won it cleanly though, simply by waiting for them to pit and no stopping the race myself.

Well, Easiest choices yet. So taking on all of these on the hardest setting is pretty much assured.

6-Star Roulette Car Ticket I am always fine with (as long as its not a dupe, though I've been pretty spoiled so hoping that continues) and the 150,000 credit ticket is not the amount I'd like but its still credits. Parts ticket though...

To be fair, I don't remember if PD slowed the AI down for this event in the last several updates. The experience back then was... demotivating.

In my experience, it feels they are alot less of a hassle to compete with (Though abit too easy on Hard difficulty). At least it doesn't feel they have far more boost then you do now.
