Video coming at 2:00 PM

Jimny Cup: Suzuki Jimny Sierra JC. Might just be me, but felt abit easier to be smooth with.
Schwarzwald League: BMW M2 Competition. I was shocked at how well that went even on hard, it flies.
Vision GT Trophy: Lexus LF-LC GT Vision GT. Even around Monza, the field is no match for this car.
Super Formula: SF23 Toyota. I made ALOT of sketchy decisions when it came to passes. Still won but man, that was a wild ride.
Nissan Skyline GT-R One-Make: Nismo R34 GT-R Z-Tune. Attempted to recreate the TC from GT5 and GT6 and was disappointed to fin I couldn't make it entirely 1-to-1. I did however overpower field with my build that is at around 680 PP so that happened.

Pretty solid set of races this week. I enjoyed them enough, the Skyline race was really fun.

Grand Valley - South_.webp

Stanced Jimny is best Jimny. I like.

High Speed Ring Reverse_.webp

My Porsche broke down, so I had to empty the work van and raced that instead. A real riot.

High Speed Ring_.webp

Reminds me of something from the PS1 days. Under 700pp does it well. The GT-Rs always seem to have a bit of kick to them that makes them fun to drive fast.

Autodromo Nazionale Monza_.webp

The Peugeot L750R is a bit overlooked, I think. Its a real rocket, looks and drives like something from Ridge Racer.

Circuit de Sainte-Croix - B_.webp

Surprisingly easy? No strategy at all, on RM tyres. The track is so boring to drive, though.

I got weight reduction stage 5 for the GT-R safety car in my daily roulette ticket. Yay.

So, I saw the Gr. 1 Genesis VGT was available to use for this week's VGT race in the weekly challenges. I remembered seeing a Sacabambaspis livery on it, and decided to make my own since I couldn't find it easily.

I love this stupid livery lol, it's funny seeing it flying up behind opponents, so I took photos to try to make it look ominous in the background.

That was surprisingly funny 😂

You gave me a reason to drive this car!

It reminds me of this

Decent week. Except of course the SF which I had to do in Easy.
SF19, no stop on RH. Won by 45 seconds.
Circuit de Sainte-Croix - B_ by 2cam16, on Flickr
VGT in a car I won this race previously, my trusty Lexus. Easy win.
Autodromo Nazionale Monza_ (2) by 2cam16, on Flickr
Those Skylines were quick but no match for my 539hp 400 on RM's.

The Reverse was a good chance to highlight a livery I just finished the other day. A special livery of an E46 that raced in ALMS right after 9/11. Stuck,Auberlen and Said's car. Easy win in this car.

For the Jimny race I used my swapped one this time around. Haven't driven it in a few months. I forgot how insane it is to drive this thing. lol

Stock Jimny Sierra JC '18 for the first race. Seemed impossible to begin with but once you get a handle on it you can throw it around the corners for a really fun but challenging race.

Hey mate, could you post the video with more onboard info ( a HUD basically with speed, sector times etc. ) ? Chase cam would be great. I'm trying to replicate this and I don't get near. Seeing where I lose the time could be helpful. Thanks in advance ;-)

The F1 race proved quite tough for me.
Hopefully the Croissant layout was the only one i know and raced in the past with Titans.
Anyway i start on RH tyres hoping to gain with a non stop strategy but i quit on 3rd lap since i was almost 5 seconds per lap slower 😱 .
I put RM tyres and try again , i was gaining time to the front runners but stack on the bridge once and aboard the race since i fall 20 again in a few seconds.
Third try , more careful without knowing what to expect from the AI as their strategy plan.
Anyway i took the lead and stay there with what left from RM tyres and win by 7 seconds.
The next 3 AI behind me DIDN'T stop since was on RH tyres .
I don't think that i could win this on RH tyres and am not willing to find out 😂 .
The good part ( short of ) is that i did it on normal level and didn't need to put it on easy this time.

The most interesting race due to variety of the cars you can use , remains the Schwarzkopf race 😂.
And for sure this weekly set is one of the most profitable ever .

I find it strange that certain cars are classified by their engine and not by who makes the car, for example the F1 GTR is allowed in the Schwarzwald League despite it is a UK built car

Given BMW themselves still own this very car (Chassis #24R), I suspect THAT had more to do with it then the engine.

It's been classed as a BMW (and German) since GT4 Prologue, and it's not specifically to do with the engine but the fact it was a BMW Motorsports car and raced as such.

Ok everyone knows the drill; new challenges and the designated drives for each, so here they are:

1. Jimny Cup - Jimny XC ‘18; 399PP on Comfort Soft tires: Once again letting my inner Captain Slow indulge himself in a very exhilarating and demanding race of, well, lots of body rolling and brake diving made by the ai that somehow made this race funnier than expected! My street suspension tuned just planted on the road vs the ai flexing those coil overs!!!

2. Schwarzwald League - BMW M3 ‘97; 689PP on Sports Soft tires: Here debuting my Touring Car livery, this race was a moment for this tune to flex its high speed legs, no mayor drama nor surprises here, this M3 always ranked high and deservedly so

3. Skyline GT-R One Make - Nissan R32 GT-R NISMO ‘90; 680PP on Sports Soft tires (Engine Swapped and with my version of MNPIII): The OG, modern classic JDM showing today’s kids how it’s done with three pedals and no electronic nany to limit you; but this one was actually pretty cool! Just got 1P on the fourth lap and Nakano’s R33 started to outbrake me like he was an F1 car! That car was wayyyy over the 700PP limit but still, the Old School won 😎

IMG_7280.webp

4. Vision Gran Turismo Trophy - Peugeot L750R Hybrid ‘17; 799PP on Racing Soft tires: This one was a little surprising since I haven’t actually driven this car before so first round went by and then stiffened a bit the springs and took some rear downforce to get it close to 800PP and it did great! Handles surprisingly well despite its long nose and wipeout cabin suggest

IMG_7278.webp

5. Super Formula - SF23 Toyota; 942PP on Racing Medium tires: not so bad layout but was asking “why the fuel consumption?” if I was showing 14 laps remaining on FM1?? PD logic right there; and a no stop race this time around, like modern F1, no drama at all

Overall it seems that lately the low power and/or lower PP races are the ones getting all the better racing experience and the higher end events are getting stale; but a cool million added and got a 3* daily worth some spare change

Edit: grammar mistakes

I'm a bit late now although I finished the races on Friday but I got held up a bit. And it's not because I ran that SF race 25 times for the credits.

Race 1 - Suzuki Jimny XC '18 - 385 PP - 4:49,323 - CRB

WC_250808_R1.webp

The car I've used since the very first Jimny event. No refined setup, no tire change, just power parts added. And although I have NOS on board I don't use it. The real challenge is to string three smooth laps together.

Race 2 - Porsche Carrera GT '04 - 659 PP - 6:18,952 - CRB

WC_250808_R2.webp

I've built this car recently and use it quite often since. That sound ... wow ! Took away a lot of power to have a bit of a race but the Porsche still flies. An easy win.

Race 3 - Nismo GT-R Z-tune '05 - 695 PP - 7.11.180 - CRB

WC_250808_R3.webp

After reading @Famine 's comment "... but something in the 600 - 650 PP range should be plenty to take the win." I went to race with the stock car basically lol. What an awakening when being left in the dust completely - by everyone. Since I wasn't in the mood for small improvements I just made that one big step forward and grabbed the win. Yesterday I tried with my old swapped 1970 Skyline and I tell you, that car is faster and way more fun even though it tries to kill you all the time.

Race 4 - Genesis X Gran Racer VGT '24 - 825 PP ( stock detuned ) - 8:22,090 - CRB

WC_250808_R4.webp

Hadn't driven that thing before and it turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. The X GR is a great racecar indeed and it's seriously fast - unlike these other VGTs that are "fast without brakes" or "fast until the battery runs out" and the likes ... Recommended !

Race 5 - Toyota SF19 '19 - 934 PP - 18:05,539 - no CRB

WC_250808_R5.webp

To me Formula races always feel like "a lot of work ahead" at race start. I'll never trust downforce just like that and it'll always take a lot to get me confident and up to speed. So it was a relief that this one's been doable right away. No stop on RM with FM1, done and dusted.

And back into a Jimny ! :D
