Been a busy time but now that I got time for myself, Gonna do Gr.B at Eiger Reverse and Alsace on easy just to be done, Cannot stand one of those track combos to begin with so having them BOTH with Fuel and Tire Usage is torture.
The Gr.B Mustang is a killer, my choice now for these Gr.B events.

Not a bad set of weekly races.

Fought the urge to run the N One, and took out the Suzuki instead.

The Challenger was made for Watkins Glen. Really enjoyed the race, and the drive. Such a good car.

Wasn't sure I was going to win the Eiger race. Took the lead, on the last lap. '89 Impreza rally car.

My "Gr4" Avantime is a tire hater in the Alsace race, but it got the job done.

Almost forgot about the FJ one make race. Naturally went postal on it.

I had a great time with the WTC700 Alsace Village race. I used my Hyundai Elantra N tuned to: 699pp, 512 hp, 2500 lbs, on Racing Medium tires.

I forgot to set my fuel at the beginning. Once I noticed I was already into my 2nd lap, so I just road it out and pitted at the end of that lap. I then set my fuel to 6 and started short shifting to save fuel. Doing this I managed to make it to the end of lap 7 where I came in for a final dash into the pits for tires and 3 laps worth of fuel. I decided to leave the fuel at 6 (I like a challenge) and put the pedal to the metal for the final 3 laps. I passed 3rd on lap 9, and had to absolutely fly to catch 2nd before the end of the lap. Last lap I managed to catch up to 1st place by the penultimate corner, and passed for the win.

I love it when mistakes turn out to improve the race. If I hadn't made the mistake of leaving my fuel mode on 1 (forcing me to box at the end of lap 2) the race likely would have been too easy and ultimately less entertaining.

I enjoyed the other races this week, but that one really stuck out to me. Great race with a great car.

Hey everyone, think we all can agree the new races are quite standard, nothing that stands out really. That's been my impression at least. Switched on my PS yesterday in the morning, spent the day working here in my home office and did a race every now and then in between, finished with them at 7 pm.

Race 1 - Renault R4 GTL '85 - 74 hp - 725 kg - SM tires - 396,10 PP - RT 3:33,116 - FL 52,131
Used the car with an old very basic setup from the R4 one-make races. It's not been the car's power but the tires of course that made this race an easy win. CRB achieved.

Race 2 - Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40V '74 - 170 hp - 1.610 kg - D tires - 387,30 PP - RT 4:10,860 - FL ?
I had changed the transmission right away because, well, @Famine said so ... that wasn't enough however. Was able to overtake a couple of AI cars but the gap to the leader remained the same. So I added the mid range turbo for a second attempt which brought the win. CRB achieved. Btw I really enjoyed this second event in a row at Fisherman's Ranch ...

Race 3 - Chevrolet Corvette C7 ZR1 '19 - 754 hp - 1.625 kg - SH tires - 643,05 PP - RT 9:54,966 - FL 1:58,045
There's two or three turns and corners at Watkins Glen I will never understand. And I will never learn how to tackle and exit them in a proper way, especially with high power low grip cars of course. Nevertheless it's not been a difficult race, got in the lead at lap 4 and brought my wonderful car home. CRB achieved.

Race 4 - Subaru Impreza Rally Car '98 - 748 hp - 1.270 kg - RH tires - 699,40 PP - RT 13:21,889 - FL 1:03,620
Again two attempts needed for this one. I'm really bad at remembering how to drive a specific car at a specific track so there's been too many small mistakes at first and I finished second at S. Hahn's rear bumper. From there on everything's been quite easy. No refined race strategy here, RH tires, FM4 on average, pit stop after 7 laps. CRB achieved.
WC_250926_R4.webp

Race 5 - Toyota GR Supra RZ '20 with LFA engine - 563 hp - 1.303 kg - RH tires - 699,50 PP - RT 20:23,407 - FL 1:58,518
Honestly I didn't expect this to be that easy, even with a 700 PP car. Had to run the Toyota at FM5 most of the time for a pit stop halfway through the race and yes ... the pit exit is tricky ... but the winning margin was huge in the end. And although everything's been quite unspectacular, it's the race I will return to with a couple of new cars I want to test. No CRB ... and no idea why.

First test car will be the maxed out Subaru WRX STI S '14 that I built recently. ;)

You took CRB at Eiger ?!!!!!!!
He took CRB at Eiger......!!!!!!!!
Well if he took CRB at Eiger , then

As for the CRB at Alsace, i stop wondering the " why " , try it 4 times all unsuccessful and the 5th i shoot out every AI that stand in my way just because.

I only did the WTC700 race at Alsace Village last night. Took out my Ferrari F430 Challenge and took an easy win. FM5 the whole time with a little bit of short shifting meant I only needed to pit once for fuel and tires.

I don’t think I’ll do the other races. I don’t need the credits.
I used to have the same thoughts, but ultimately I did them all anyway.

I just don't like the Gr.B race in Eiger, and yeah sure the FJ40 race in Fisherman's Ranch is fun but I am not inclined in GT7's rallying as a whole.

My selections I ended up using:

More at 11:00 2:00 PM

Sunday Cup: Toyota RAV4 Adventure. Pretty easy, even if the back got abit twitchy at times.
American Clubman Cup 700: Chevy Camaro ZL1. Tore it up in the GT4.R build as per usual
World Rally Challenge GR.B: Lancia Delta HF Integrale. Did on easy but with how insane I was able to throw it around, maybe upping the difficulty is in order.
World Touring Car 700: Aston Martin Vantage GR.4. Hate the track so also on Easy.
Toyota Land Cruiser FJ40V One Make: Built one up and it was a fun one.

That’s the way to go, sometimes you just got to show them who’s the boss and make an example out of it.
Sometimes the AI are very frustrating if you try to get CRB ,they brake on you , they push you out etc.
Especially if is a long race and you done everything right and miss CRB cause of single touch .
I think this is PD fault , sometimes i get CRB while i shouldn't and sometimes i wonder why and where i lost it .
At Alsace this week while the race isn't that tough ( for example the nismos at GV previous week ) turns out to be impossible to take CRB for me .
I must reach this level of calm in order to do it

Alsace was nothing to write home about, a one shot CRB victory with a massive margin...

...and Eiger is definitely doable. By strategy instead of speed though, I non-stopped it and actually overtook perhaps five cars while everyone else just pitted out of the way.
