Interesting line up of classic race cars in the LCD. A bit early, but wonder if they'll be part of a new Historic race.
Hey, I wasn’t far off. ;)

Just used the RB25 for the WTC800 race(the Gr.4 Lancer was too slow). Going to wait for the Citroen BX to do the Historic race. Been driving cars with more than three doors lately. Passing on the 812 race.

It’s extra disappointing when they kind of have the right idea, but get it so wrong.

How about this LeMans special event given this is the actual LeMans weekend:

-1 hour race with time x 24
-random weather
-GR1 with GR3 traffic (we’ve seen the last few weeks that they can do it)
-3x tire wear and fuel consumption
No PP limits which means we could choose "phantom" fantasy VGT cars like Redbull or Tomahawk cars..! It's single player after all.

Pretty easy week, not super interesting though. Route X is a change at least, as long as you have a car that can go above 350 km/h you'll win and in my race most of the AI sat behind the Tesla for the entire lap. Sunday Cup is pretty easy, cars feel a little slow for that track but Spa is still fun to drive. The one-make race is extremely easy, I won by over 20 seconds in a stock 812 on SM, SH would also easily get the job done. The AI is just really slow around the reverse version and honestly I'm not a fan of it either, it makes several corners less fun and the curbs are in the wrong place too. Willow Springs was fun and I like that race because it gets dark, main car to watch is the Miura but even that isn't super fast there. WTC 800 being at Le Mans gives you a lot of opportunities to use modified road cars as the AI is slow on the straights and doesn't use their corner speed advantage where they should. They also seem to struggle with fuel usage as most of the field will pit twice. Used my fully tuned SLR on map 6 for the first 3 laps, then switched to map 3 for the last two after a pit stop for fuel. It would be interesting to see how low PP it's possible to win with, I know the Atenza Gr.3 Road Car with the 787B engine will easily do it at around 720 PP.

My picks for the week:
weekly-challenge-202506w3-cars.jpg

Four done so far (hard difficulty)...

weekly-challenge-202506w3-r1.jpg

SSRX - Dodge Challenger SRT Demon '18 - I threw on some SS tires, just to be safe. Probably didn't need them. This car just blasted off. When I hit 5th gear, I thought I might have problems with the limiter, but there was a 6th gear. And a 7th. And an 8th. Flew to an easy win. First ticket obtained.

weekly-challenge-202506w3-r2.jpg

Spa - Maserati Merak SS '80 - I upgraded the tires to SS, but otherwise stock, which put it just over the suggested PP. The top speed was a bit lacking, at least compared to Hizal in his Merc, but great in the corners. Thankfully, the AI is so horrible at Eau Rouge and Raidillon that I was still able to catch the leaders on the Kemmel straight for the lead, anyways. Second box checked.

weekly-challenge-202506w3-r3.jpg

Lago Maggiore - Ferrari 812 Superfast '17 - I don't remember ever driving this layout in reverse. It wasn't a problem, though. The AI are so slow that it was an easy win. Second ticket obtained.

weekly-challenge-202506w3-r4.jpg

Willow Springs - Shelby Cobra 427 '66 - I had to install a power restrictor to get the car under the PP limit. That also meant driving it on the stock CS tires, which got a little dicey around those high-speed corners. Managed to take P2 towards the end of the final lap, but the win was out of reach. Fine. Good enough for the fourth check box.

24-2025.png

1. A pretty easy win with the Rampage, it wasn't a particularly hard race, it was just boring. It's the length of a full race, but with nothing interesting.
2. I decided to use my Polo Faux LM. It handled great in the corners.
3. Understeer hell. Enough said.
4. I used the 205 GTi. It handled surprisingly good in the corners, but I still hate T3 though.
5. The 787B ended off this week's tasks, the 787B had excellent fuel economy, and I did it no stop.

Well I am glad I done this weekly super quickly due to the incoming heatwave in the UK lately because I probably wouldn't have done it otherwise... And due to it being unbearably summer I decided to use a few open top vehicles to begin and end this weekly, wouldn't want to roast myself in a tin can do we not:lol:. As always this was in PSVR2 with hard AI and all driving aids disabled except ABS, and as a bonus I do also try to restrict my tyre choice to as far as the AI's max grade in a race, and these were the following cars I used today;
Screenshot_2025-06-20-01-13-47-937.jpeg

RACE 1//
Fully tuned low range supercharged XNR Ghia on SH tyres - why would someone do this to such a car, tuning it in any capacity it's tantamount to violating some sort of Geneva convention as this thing wants to slide if you so much as turn the steering wheel more than 5 degrees, thankfully I kept it in control around the oval and didn't really have any difficulties save for one, I rolled into first place with Kermit the frog's personal deathtrap by the first corner, but had to hope to all hell my car has the grunt to hold off the AI C7

RACE 2//
911 (901 generstion) on SH tyres and with a semi racing exhaust - okay fine I'll use a 911 finally but never in the Porsche events :P the exhaust change was purely down to the sound, so I could hear it better in the interior, no other changes were made to the car other than the tyres that I was mercifully allowed to use since the lead alpine also uses SH tyres, IT actually was a pretty close fight in the final lap, trying to finally find the final overtake opportunity but I managed to get them by the final chicane by a wonderful dive overtake manoeuvre despite my ancient brakes!

RACE 3//
Completely stock power 812 superfast on stock SM tyres - the only changes being aero mods and 4WS controller add-on set to 99 - fun race this was! Even if I was at first place before lap 4 could be within the same postcode as this things' awful stopping power, which mercifully only took a single lap to rewire my brain the distance by mail braking points. The car itself was surprisingly well behaved otherwise so long a s you shifted early to reign in the car's savage tendencies.

RACE 4//
NA full tune Silvia Q's on SH tyres - bet you didn't expect a Silvia to show up here was a relatively chill affair, though the screaming of my unfortunately close ranged racing gearbox would be to disagree...should've altered that before the race, mercifully it was just long enough though I do now realised I've made a blunder with the tyre choice being one grade above the AI's highest choice....OH WELL IT WAS A BLOODY HEATWAVE and this track already gave me too much summer vibes as is with it being a wasteland so I drove it a bit haphazardly as the heat was now getting to me, got to 1st by the end of lap 4.
RACE HAS NOW BEEN RE-DONE TO USE COMFORT SOFT TYRES.

RACE 5//
VW VGT Gr3 with a custom suspension, racing gearbox and aero setup and a high range turbo on RH tyres - normally I'd never even touch this car even on a good day as I much prefer the Suzuki VGT Gr3 but I felt like switching it up for once....turns out that was a surprisingly good call...though the heat was getting to me by this point massively so when I saw there was no penalty zone...ALL BETS WERE OFF, I engaged fuel map 6 (well I did FM6 as soon as the race began actually) and did my pitstop on lap 2 and cut every corner I could afterwards though I did drive the final lap properly without any cuts to see how the car felt to drive - it's tyre wear was surprisingly good by this point, having never needed to change tyres the whole race! - was first by lap 4

Overall was an easy set of races for once, which was a blessing as I went straight to sleep afterwards, did these all within the hour the weeklies went live haha, However that didn't mean I didn't have a really stupid moment...as I found out in race 1, painting a car a very reflective lime green in a clear sky with the sun up high in the XNR Ghia DIDN'T HELP WITH VISIBILITY IN ANY CONCEIVABLE WAY, as demonstrated below with what I had to contend with for much of the back straight

Did a quick ride at new weeklies.
What I'll never try again is the Ferrari event in that reverse layout.
To my surprise i took CRB and lost it at willow without understand when and why 🙄 .
Definitely ill try some cars there again .
At Lemans i took my police car at 700pp version and was so easy win using high FM with one stop only for fuels.
Although i lost the CRB and there without understand ( again ) where .
Perhaps was pit entry or exit but what the hell, am use to it .

At willow i use a BMW evo 89 and ill be back with Aston db5 on SS tyres only.
Letting out first race for obvious reasons 😂 and since i dislike Maggiore and even more the reverse layout......that weeklies seems a little bit transparent.
Of course the prizes are very welcome since no tickets involved.
Looking forward for the new update.

i made some mistakes at le mans did not matter at the end with a huge lead.
i got quicker and quicker each lap at willow springs same thing for the superfast race except the last lap.
last 2 races were simple got the corvette to around 250 mph.

American Clubman Cup 700: Chevy Camaro ZL1. Just unrestricted it on easy and instant win.
European Sunday Cup 500: BMW M2 Competition. My CS Racing build, ran it in the Cup configuration for a challenge and enjoyed it.
Historic Sports Car Masters: Ford GT40. Easy, I know for some the idea of a old car on default settings and no aids doesn't scream "Easy" but that's honestly how that car feels to me.
World Touring Car 800: Lexus RC F GT3. Figured I might as well stick to last week's theme.
Ferrari 812 Superfast One-Make: Not a fan of the track in reverse, that and I am reminded my setup REALLY needs work.

Final race complete (hard difficulty)...

weekly-challenge-202506w3-r5.jpg

Le Mans - SLS AMG GT3 '11 - Did a 3RM-2RS strategy. Had to save fuel on the first stint to get to 3 laps -- FM 3 and short shifting at 50% of the rev bar. I managed to catch Portilla in the Viper on the final lap for a P2 finish. Good enough for the final ticket.

This week’s selections for the Weekly Challenges

1. A very powerful piece of engineering capable of incredible speeds; too bad can’t be used so I went with the ‘09 Corvette and still left everything behind

Another straightforward week.
WTC800 was in one of my go-to's,the Gr.2 Lexus. No stopper, played around with FM, won by over 30 seconds.
24 Heures du Mans race track_ (2) by 2cam16, on Flickr
I haven't ran Lago in that direction in a very LONG time so it felt weird. No flow. Ugly race but easy win.
Autodrome Lago Maggiore - Full Course Reverse_ by 2cam16, on Flickr
Willows was in my only choice for the 700, Mustang on SS. Easy win.
Willow Springs International Raceway_ Big Willow_ by 2cam16, on Flickr
SSX was a loss though. Not even SVG could beat Igor. lol I'll take 2nd.
Special Stage Route X_ by 2cam16, on Flickr
Spa was fun in a new livery I made for one of my Renaults. 184hp on SS. Nice close race. won by a few seconds.

After the short version yesterday, here's a bit more.

Race 1 Route X - GAC Maverick / stock / 681 PP / CRB
Maverick to Range Control : Entering point alpha, confirm green range …
Nothing else to say here.

WC_250620_R1.jpg

Race 2 Spa - Peugeot 208 GTI / quasi stock / 473 PP / no CRB
Wasn’t good in this race and the final overtake was questionable. No ramming, two wheels on the curbs, no contact but … I squeezed my car in so that's questionable. Plus I was off track earlier and had touched one of these green track pillars. :yuck:

WC_250620_R2.jpg

Race 3 Maggiore reverse - 812 / quasi stock / 702 PP / CRB
What a horrible track this is in reverse. If you haven’t been there too often. Thankfully the AI also didn’t know it. What a crap race on my side.

WC_250620_R3.jpg

Race 4 Big Willow - Miura / stock and tuned / 562 PP and 578 PP / CRB and CRB
The early Friday run was driven with the full stock Miura and this is a car that needs a bit of practise … or a better setup. And then out of nowhere I had this idea to build it up and I think it’s been the color that made me think of a Jackson Pollock-style livery, like that painting in the movie "The Accountant".

WC_250620_R6.jpg

Race 5 Le Mans - Tuscan LT4 / tuned / 798 PP / CRB
What a great addition to my car roster. It’s a bit slower through corners compared to Gr.3 cars but it’s got really really good top speed even at FM6 and is quite easy on tires. Ran on RM and FM6, had a stop after 3 laps for fuel only and won with a 30 sec lead.

WC_250620_R5.jpg

Cheers everyone and ... hey, there will be an update soon. :D

Race 1
Bit boring but just used my 700pp Nova tune to get 2nd, no way of catching Fraga.

Race 2
Stock Porsche 901 was a blast round Spa, just got to first by the end.
20970705455146002.jpg

Race 3
Stock car, quite liked this track in reverse layout as theres quite a good flow to it. thinking of repeating this race with SH tyres and some ballast to make it more of a challenge as the stock car was in the lead midway.
20970561596709311.jpg

Race 4
Stock '88 Countach was a nice choice for this race to get first by the end. Just need to balance the weight transfer in some parts of the track with small taps of the brake pedal.
20970199674736247.jpg

Race 5
Initially did this race in an engine swapped Porsche 911 RH no stop and won by a country mile so was boring... Redid it in a '06 Viper on RM for a 1 stop strat. The AI really need to be upgraded here as this race can be a snooze fest.

All wins on hard difficulty:
1. Dodge Challenger SRT Demon '18 - 631pp,SH (stock)
2. MINI Mini Cooper '05 - 500pp,SH

4. Ferrari 308 GTB '75 - 580pp,SM
