I tried the 2006 dodge viper, RM FM6 and short shifting to pit on lap 6 but some tune optimisation could help improve my overall time. Enough to finish the week of challenges.

Little bit better but still not first…

A special event for the most uninteresting vehicle of the bunch (or out of all the SUVs added, period). Not even sure I want to do a seperate Special Event video for it knowing how unlike the CH-R or CR-V, there is no kind of internal combustion engine noise AND its the worst handling of them all.

Just gonna do it for ticket and never touching this race again...

using the evo lancer '96 for the 600pp, the carry for the lightweight, the 205 evo '86 for the turbo, and the allure to the classic due to the roulette i use gave me that car for it.

This is the discussion thread for an article on GTPlanet:

A fresh set of five new Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges are becoming available to players around the world, as local clocks tick past midnight into Friday, featuring some of Update 1.61’s new content in a bit of an unusual-looking week...

I won last week's Alsace race on hard difficulty with the car completely stock. The car handled just fine to me.

My choices for tonight.
I won last week's Alsace race on hard difficulty with the car completely stock. The car handled just fine to me.
After driving all the SUVs back-to-back last night, it just doesn't feel as pointy as the others (including the CR-V, which is heavier). Weirdly understeery AND oversteery (At times snapping mid corner). Might just be me, but its just not my cup of tea handing wise.

600 pp race was a waiting game for me for the cars above me to pit made a no pit stopper
lightweight cup an ai tried to spin me out early in the 1st lap somehow got a clean bonus
had to swap back to the lancer evo '96 due to the 205 goes way too fast for the 1st corner
one make nearly spun out at the 2nd corner
much better 2nd lap then the 1st at the classic race

The droning noise of the qashqais is abysmal, it's just, "UGHHHHH" I mean it feels as if the game is broken. I truly believe they put these cars in the game just to show everyone how horrible they are. I guess they wouldn't get so loud under normal driving conditions but come on...

Not a huge fan of this week. Sunday Cup Classic is fun but quite short, payout is terrible too. One-make was very boring, no real tuning with these cars so it's 4 laps of Brands in a stock crossover, at least it's easy. Turbo Sportscars should be a good race and there's a lot of different fields of cars you can get, problem is the pace of those fields varies wildly so you can end up winning in slow cars or struggling in faster ones. I tried a few times with a stock AMG GT S and ended up winning by 4 seconds, previous attempt I was a little faster but lost by 5. I also tried a swapped Silvia and won first try despite being over 10 seconds slower than I was with the AMG GT. Lightweight K-Cup has the usual issue of being limited to CS only so you basically can only use slightly tuned cars, track isn't the best but not one I drive often at least. Tokyo I really enjoyed because I haven't been grinding it since the Tomahawk days, the time of day change and the track drying out make it a lot of fun and the performance level of the cars seem to really suit the track. AI doesn't seem as quick as it used to be, Gallo will always pit twice and the others don't quite have the pace. Won by over 30 seconds in a 2JZ swapped Lexus RCF, little under the 600 PP limit on SH, pitted on lap 8 and had a ton of fun driving it. AI can be a little variable here too but as long as you're under 2:10 you'll win pretty easily.

I've been trying all afternoon to beat the Tokyo 600 in a stock AMG C63 S. I did it 10 months ago and it took me a long time to get it. So I'm seeing no difference atm.

I was hoping my driving had improved a bit since then. Apparently not lol.

A late start this morning, so I was only able to get through a couple...

Goodwood - Nissan Skyline Hard Top 2000GT-R (KPGC10) '70 - This car was well over the suggested PP without any modifications, which made for an easy win. First ticket obtained. It gave me some cam shafts for a Toyota Crown Athlete.

Brands Hatch - Nisssan Qashqai Tekna e-Power '22 - I kept the SS that I'd put on for last week's race. That was enough to work my way up the field. Another easy win for the second check mark.

A week of gray this week
1. Right in the the theme of the Sunday Cup Classic, I decided to try out the Mazda RX500. It made quick work of the other cars.
2. Next, I decided to buy a second Qashqai and make a sort of Qashqai Nismo. I take back what I said about this car from last week, it's really boring, even with upgrades.
3. For Race of Turbo Sportscars, I decided to try a car I rarely drive, the Bugatti Veyron. This thing is very quick (As to be expected), but it turns like a oil tanker.
4. For the Lightweight K Cup event, I used the N-One Faux Type-R (And I even remembered to picture the right one this time!)

I didn't do the last event, as I got really fustrated with the rain last time I tried it.

At least there's a prize of 550k for Tokyo. 825k for a perfect racing bonus along with the 6 star roulette ticket. Pretty lucrative. I decided to get rid of all my Vision GT cars along with 'fake' group 4, 3 B vehicles. Only non-virtual cars will do ☺️ That's taken me over the 20 million marker so can now buy the Monoposto. At least they had some use in the end 😁

Here's my car choice for this round, the Qashqai and the LFA being first drives, both are stock yet.

I've done and won 4 of the races already, I'm now heading for Tokyo. The last time I ran this race was back in my grinding times with the DP-100. Any tips to get this done ?

Ah, and btw, do you remember these animated guys in GT Auto who perform the wide body transformation ? See them ? See their faces, their bodies ache ? That's how driving the Qashqai feels to me ...
