Not much choice for this week’s challenges but here are my designated hitters for them:

1) European Sunday Cup 400 - Volkswagen Golf I GTI ‘83; 500PP on Sports Hard tires: just wanted the Rabbit to stretch its legs and it sure did, it was happy running like mad, just an appetizer round

2) Renault Avantime One Make - Renault Avantime 3.0 ‘02; 471PP on Sports Hard tires (all three weight reductions plus full suspension): This was as expected the top two cars are easily OP, but with the suspension stiffened I got them easily on the curves, fun car and awesome interior view!

3) Vision Gran Turismo Trophy - Audi VGT; 799PP on Racing Hard tires: man what a surprise of a race! The Skoda GT was either at the 850PP or further because it was almost impossible to catch! Just managed to pass it on the fourth lap and then it passed me on the main straightaway but got him again on the downhill curves, Unexpected fun, also the Audi handled it perfectly, love this car!

4) Ferrari Circuit Challenge - Ferrari Enzo Ferrari ‘02; 692PP on Sports Soft tires: the follow up to the mighty F50 made honor to its name by steadily climbing up the ladder with such determination it’s scary, also it loves to rev and it begs for you to make it rev, and this lovely Silver shade gives it the grandeur it deserves, no surprises here

5) WTC 800 - Honda NSX GT500 ‘00; 785PP on Racing Soft tires: coolest race of all, the whole pack stayed close, did the first 6 laps on FM6 then pitted for fuel and tires with a 10 second lead, went out and FM1 all the way for a 45 second lead victory, and ran it again because it was fun! This car truly shines and still can shame the new ones effortlessly

Clearly the Avantime One-Make can't be won in a completely stock car so I tested a few different tires and settled on RH tires to keep it challenging but possible with a CRB.

Great addition to GT7 this car. By far the best soccer mom vehicle in the game.

I think the Avantime is the best car that came out from this update.
It's surprisingly good .

Some can ;) ...

Guess most of the Gr.1 cars can, maybe one or the other Gr.2 car as well.
Even the Valkyrie gets close.
That is an impressive lap and overal time 👍
I usually go for my trusted Red bull X2019 25th Anniversary car. Easy to drive and unbeatable araound corners.
If I hadn´t messed up my first 2 laps trying to pass the AI I might have gotten under the 24min mark.
A 2:55 lap should be possible with this car, I just didn´t connect all the sectors properly

I'm just amazed at comments like this, and wish I felt the same. For me, I resent the fact that I had to buy one and drive it. It's like a bad dream. Good thing I woke up!
That's how I feel about both new Vettes. Awful generic looking monstrosities with very few redeeming factors, especially the disappointment on wheels that is the CX.R...

The Avantime, however... quite a nice surprise, and useable across a wide range of events. Handles well, sounds amazing (with either engine), and goes like the clappers. Fantastic for 500-700pp races, especially.

Different strokes for different folks, and all that.

I won with the Corvette in the VGT race, also the Euro 400pp after trying again.View attachment 1476208View attachment 1476209
Talking about race results ...
I saw in your other post you've been using the Chaparral 2J again at St. Croix.
I had that same idea yesterday night and I'm totally convinced of this car on winding tracks. It's brutal fun, isn't it ? So just out of interest how did you do in that race ( car setup / strategy / lap times / runtime ) ?

I like the car, it does take a bit of getting used to, but it's epic in VR.

I used the spec in the screenshots, I could make it better no doubt, but I have not changed the setup in ages, I did a one stop for fuel and stopped on lap 5, I cannot remember the times though sorry.
