Fun week but I'll return to the Elantra race with a weaker car. Will also try out the RAV4 at Lake Louise.
Speaking of, used my WRX in Vermont Sportscar Project Midnight livery. Easy win.

Autopolis in a car I've won this race several times before, my trusty Audi. No pits, no rain, no DRS. Won by a minute.

Historics in the Mustang. I used a Miata here before but opted for this one as it has been my choice lately for this category. It was over on lap 3.

VGT in my go-to Lexus. Won by a comfortable 5 seconds.

The Glen in one of my tc Elantras set-up for a future Sophy series (come on Sophy, learn the Elantra! lol). Too easy. I'll buy a new car and set it up for a less lethal level.

Won a Mini VGT but already had one so sold it.

For this set of weeklies all won hard difficulty, only race that almost made me throw my DualSense at the screen was the Historic Race; those two Lambos were over the top easily! So, we’re all here for the pics of the picks, so here they are:

1) Japanese 4WD Challenge 600 - Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STI ‘04; 552PP on Snow tires

2) Historic Sports Car Masters - Aston Martin DBS ‘64; 549PP on Sports Hard tires: those two Lamborghinis were hard to catch with this car and tune, understeering and oversteering moments tried to sabotage my run, got them at the end and won by less than three seconds. Masters indeed

3) Hyundai ELANTRA N One Make - Hyundai Elantra N ‘23; 599PP on Sports Hard tires: Battle with the yellow car last two laps yet got the win (actually slowed down a few times to try to pick a fight 😆)

4) Vision Gran Turismo Trophy - Lambo V12 VGT; 800PP on Racing Hard tires: car won’t turn but it’s quick, just brake early and go like hell at the corner exits. Powahhhh wins this time

5) World Touring Car 800 - Chaparral 2J ‘70; 800PP on Racing Hards: The GT5 cheat code didn’t disappoint, easy win on this no-stop stint, just enjoying the open cockpit view, wonderful box on wheels

Got a Chiron from the 6* ticket. Overall sets are getting interesting, maybe they’ll bring Sophy to Weekly Challenges?? 😁😁

A good week to use more of the latest cars added, and some I haven't used much, in a while.

Gave the Elantra the race treatment, but kept it on stock suspension, just to see how it performed. Not bad. Also finally did this livery for it. Did it a while back on the Gr4 Genesis, so nice to have on the correct model.

The Opel is a solid car, just wish it had gears to change.

Rolled the dice on this Enzo swapped F40. Plenty of power and speed, even on FM5, but the handling is a little sketchy. More so as the race went on, since I was able to do it, without pitting. Just did have enough fuel, went to FM6 for the last lap

The car brand is OPEL, not opal (opal is a gemstone).

Now that is out of the way i can present my weekly excursions...
FJ40V at Lake Louise, with the custom differential set at 50/50 it handled the snow well.

Opel Corsa at the Nurburgring GP. I was very surprised on this car, it stuck to the track like on rails.

Audi RS 5 at Autopolis, with a little cutting back on hp and adding a little weight you can run this race nonstop no petrol, no tyres.

lancer evo '96 was driving like it was on ice the whole snow race, fj40 not the fastest car but got the job done in the historic car race, the Elantra felt weird with the gearing settings aria gave me for it, LF-LC performed way better then the genesis VGT, it was an easy no pit stop at autopolis.

Note: Used a Porsche swap Sambabus on second race.
And the last race was a bit hard even on lowest difficulty level, due to Igor Omura Fraga, my compatriot, did complete the entire race without any pit stops.
I needed to make one stop for at least change my tires.

I jumped in the race on RMs, thinking I could do a 6RM-4RS strategy. Midway through, the first lap, it looked like the fuel would easily last the whole race. I decided to bail and restart on RH tires, hoping to do a no-stop. Sadly, by lap 6, it was obvious the tires weren't going to last.
I did a no stop on RH, just last lap was a bit touchy other than that it was doable. And with the delta I had to 2nd I was able to lose seconds on lap 9 and 10. Lap 9 was okayish but lap 10 needed some serious lifting to be able to make some turns.

No idea what they've fed that FT-1 with, it should have no business being that fast compared to most others. Passing it was way harder than expected as it could more or less match my nearly +100PP car (assuming it was at the stock 767PP or so) both in both braking and acceleration but predictably fell away once passed so probably just some good old PD branded rubberband with an added Toyota bonus.
