Overpowering the race is one thing, but then there's this approach. The same car as on Grand Valley some time ago but now with a GT1 racing modification inspired livery.

I thought I was fast with a 6'44" 😅. Still faster than the record of the Zonda R irl though 😌.


1/ Suzuka - 🌶️🌶️🌶️ - stock Crown with sport soft tyres - 490pp - ironically the AI chose the exact same car to finish 2nd, this car weighs 1600kgs but corners surprisingly well.

2/ Sardegna - 🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Impreza WRC - hit the pitwall every lap and even took a detour via the pits but no issues for claiming that victory.

3/ Dragon Trail - 🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Gallardo V10 with mounted turbo at +1000hp - had a lot of fun power sliding but took a bit too far on the last laps, Beauvois did not hesitate to claim 1st place.

4/ Nordschleife - 🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Godzilla thundered through the woods and devoured the competition before the long back straight. The Nürburgring livery I tailored suited it perfectly in this location.

5/ Grand Valley -🌶️🌶️🌶️ - Mazda 787B with turbo - took the fastest lap but overall lost too much time in the slower corners due to lack of mechanical grip. Reaching 350kmh on the straight and downhill the fast S curves wasn't efficient enough.

Dang the Special Event this week is fast! I pulled out my Z-tune with only one modification - High-RPM turbocharger. It had the top end speed but the default tires couldn't keep up with the power of that turbo.

In fact the only tires that could handle the power were the RS tires but that created another issue, lots of crashing lol.

I hardly use these tires on any car so I had to learn how to handle the grip and how sudden it pulls the weight transfer around the car. This was quite a challenge at the Nürb. But I pushed through and had a blast trying to catch the leader and pass him in the last few corners.

For anyone who wants to know the best vgt car to use on this week's challenges use the Mazda lm55 but not the (gr1) version.
Always has been. The base version is way better.

Only downside is that you are limited in suspension and gear ratio adjustments.

It seems like this race is bugged, you start 10 seconds behind the 9th place car. Even with all-racing mods, tires and nitro I cant get on the podium.

Yeh I think the entire grid is spread out to start. They do bunch up though threw the course of the lap.

This demands you to haul ass big time. Take advantage of the 4WD drivetrain by cutting the corners with two tires on the grass.

Yes, it reminds me of that one lap mission in GT4 with the McLaren SLR that you have to catch the other Mercedes before the lap ends....
 
These past days have been busy so I haven’t been able to race as usual but did the Special Event and the Hypercar Parade, so first the Hypercar Parade:

Ferrari F50 - 782PP on Sports Softs tires; very challenging but that’s the way to do it, keep sharpening your skills! The Last Analog Ferrari Hypercar where you are the Driver, TC, ABS, Stability Control and Gear selection device 🔥🔥

Special Event: NISMO R34 GT-R Z-Tune - 699PP on Sports Softs tires; This is the best race of the set definitely! Very demanding race, with lots of close racing with the ai, the 1P NISMO R32 was on my sights and finally passed him just before the last carousel

I emerge from an exhausting two weeks, victorious over the Drive-Hating Track Fae of Nurb GT.

In their defeat, the Track Fae whispered, "Your victory was hollow because your Chaparral 2X will not win against the quicker ones. Not with that lap time..."

And I remembered my nemesis from Grand Valley: the Skoda VGT. Out of all of them, that one would surely crush my spirits. Curiously, it did not. The Track Fae fell silent.

Again and again, awkwardly and slowly, I dodged and weaved around fading apexes and the AI who blocked them; running away toward goals that only I set for myself.

All the while deepening my joy for both driving in and of itself, and for driving this bizarre, beautiful machine from a time that I wish could have been.
