After running the Yaris stock around Laguna Seca I've been looking for another stock challenge the past two days. Initially I wanted to go with this
For the Evolution Meeting race I picked the lowest stock PP Lancer in my garage and threw some dirt tires on it. This created a fun challenge chasing down the leader without voiding the CRB. 👌

but since the Evo III isn't available atm I decided to use the Final '15. Additionally I planned to try different PP levels see how low I can go.
So I started mounting D tires and restricting the power to 80 % ( 480 PP ) which is close to the Evo III stock performance. After realizing that the race still is too easy, I went on downgrading the car to 70% ( 460 PP ) - with almost no effect. Adding weight changed things dramatically though. With another 200 kg on board ( 447 PP ) the car's been much slower than the AI in a straight-line
and things got challenging ... definitely.
It was not about winning the race, it was about winning it cleanly. As soon as you really have to race them, their abysmal incompetence gets obvious and the most annoying thing for me is that you basically have to adapt to their horrible performance if you want to survive.
And get the bonus. I hear you @Greycap ...
I did it after 4 hours or so of driving lol.

Here's the results :

You're serious? While others are struggling to compete that race @ 600pp, you're daring to do it @ 447 !??

P.S.: Sorry for bringing up Anakin again :P
Thank you, I feel flattered. Call me Rocket Yoda from now on ! :D
Seriously : I was looking for a challenge and I found one. It's not a difficult drive though. With 215 hp and 1730 kg the Lancer isn't a fast car anymore ( not much faster than your Unimog I guess ). And there's not much to do during the race : It's steering, it's full throttle most of the time, switching between third and fourth gear mostly ... and hardly ever braking. Hardest part is finding a way around the AI.
And don't forget rubberbanding effects and that the AI adapts a little to how fast you are.
If that sounds fun to you in any way, I can recommend trying this.

Here's the car  vvv

A man after my own heart. Great challenge you've created there too.

I agree these challenge experiments expose the AI incompetence, especially on the dirt and snow. So you keep searching for the worst or most challenging vehicle you can find to make the win (and CRB) more rewarding. It's extended the life of the game for me.

Also worth noting is doing the same thing with Sophy Quick Races exposes just how much better the AI really are. On Hard difficulty using a completely stock road car straight off the showroom floor, winning with a Clean Race Bonus is very difficult but man the racing experience is next level. I don't care if I come 2nd, it's how I got there that blows wind up my skirt. Good, wheel to wheel battles all the way.

For the last race, used the older GT-R GT500. I enjoyed this car with some of my own tuning applied.

Did a no stop strat on RH getting around 1.49s to finish 2nd.

While the one stop at lap 7 on RMs seemed to be the faster option.
