I always love 911 Turbos. Instant power and dependable.

Though on the 992, I remind myself to brake only on the straight line.

699.63 pp, Sports Soft tires.

The first four races can be done with the same car.
For gr1 ,LM55 will take charge since gr1 races aren't my cup of tea , coffee ,soda or any other refreshment.
If my memory still serves me well , we did again Atlanta couple ( or more ) months ago with some AI having a blistering pace , in that case the Express will take licence to kill.

I am thinking about either LM55 , the Hyundai VGT or the Corvette CXR, :dunce: I mean CX-R VGT for Gr.1 race. I am looking forward to the Elantra race. I wish it had better fuel economy because I love to be able to drive in more races

Ha, time to bring out my
Z4 3.0i '03 / 510,05 PP ( because Beemer fest )
Afeela Prototype '24 / 536, 95 PP
Elantra N '23 / 564,45 PP ( because one-make )
Gallardo LP 560-4 '08 / 599,50 PP
LM55 VGT '14 / 917,20 PP ( because what else )

Fun week with one exception. FR Challenge is reasonably easy, probably more of a challenge to not use a BMW which I failed at. Clubman Cup is similar difficulty wise and also has a nice time of day, AI can be a bit annoying through the tunnel but otherwise good fun in a stock RC F. One-make seemed like it was going to be hard to win with a stock car but the AI seemed to just get slower as the race went on, they're also not good on the brakes so passing them is quite easy. WTC 600 is the one I didn't enjoy, the field spread is quite large pace wise and the difference between grids is also quite big. I was struggling to win because I would've needed to run low 1:25 every lap to even have a chance at catching the leader, I couldn't find a stock road car that could do that. Ended up switching around cars a few times and ended up in my engine swapped Evo Gr.B Road Car, managed to win by a few seconds running 1:26 laps, guess this field was a little slower. Main issue I had was the AI is incredibly annoying around here, they will randomly spin in front of you, ram you off the track or just slam on the brakes at random times which causes huge time losses while trying to get through the field. Gr.1 at Suzuka is usually a fun race, having used every Gr.1 car at this point I figured I'd try the Hyundai VGT and won by over 50 seconds. It will just about do 7 laps on fuel and the tyre life on RM is quite good, car was very quick and easy to drive but I didn't get to try it in the wet as I only had a small amount of drizzle late in the race. I wish more of the electrically driven vehicles would last longer without needing to pit, while it might be unrealistic it would give us a lot more cars to use in these events.

Cars for this week:

Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges: Last Chance Saloon

We’re a matter of weeks away from a major change to the Gran Turismo 7 Weekly Challenges, so the latest new set — getting underway as your local clock crosses into Friday morning — is one of the last under the current format...

I'm struggling at Suzuka. Any recommendations? The LM55 strategy somehow doesn't work well for me
Which bit isn't working well?

The LM55 is a fuel king, because you can basically shift anywhere in the rev range and it barely loses pace. Keep it at or below half the bar (if you use a view with a bar) and limit your speed down the straight and you're golden.

My choices for last night. Video incoming.

Edit:

European FR Challenge 550: Mercedes-AMG GT R. Cakewalk
Japanese Clubman Cup 550: Nissan Z. Another walk in the park (wherever it is in this concrete jungle)
World Touring Car 600: Lexus LFA. Even on Sports Mediums, Field was utterly destroyed.
GR.1 Prototype Series: Toyota TS050. Started dry but then the rains came. As usual, AI proceeded to lose what little intelligence was advertised.
Hyundai Elantra N One-Make: Abit more challenging from a driving perspective as Turns 6, 7 and 8 seemingly brought out that classic FF understeer. Otherwise, fun.

So yesterday about 45 Minutes before end I decided to do the weeklies quickly. Last race ended 1 Minute after midnight.
Today I did the first race of the new challenges and yeah, I didn't receive the ticket😕
Hope it works again next week.

Bitten by the bug. Some rest and remember to stay hydrated. You should be fine for next week new set of WC events. 😅

First of all, I had used my LM55 (base version) last time at Atlanta where I won whithout issues, but my tune seems not to be suited for Suzuka as I'm spinning quite often. Second, my no-pit strategy running on FM6 didn't work because at lap 6 it started raining quite heavily and I had to pit at a point where I was far from top position, so after pitting I nearly started again at the last position, so I decided to exit the race before its end.
Just clear it ( normal mod ) tyres RH.
FM6 AT gears , rain caught me out on 8th lap so i put TC on 2 and change to MT to go at the pits , change tyres and go .
If you have your " eye " on weather to avoid surprises, logically you won't have a problem.
I had RMs, also at FM6, but as I said I was so slow that the single pit stop caused to not being able to win the race.
