What I used, I put the Corvette in the wrong place  The 296 and FTO were new of course.

Let's dive in!!!

1) Japanese FF Challenge 450 - Mistubushi FTO GP '97; 468PP on Comfort Soft tires: The GT Prodigal son returns! Went basically stock with only a semi-racing exhaust, full ECU and racing flywheel & brakes plus wingless and new wheels. And it drove be-a-u-tifully! Stock suspension and engine are almost flawless, turn=in is perfect and looks awesome! This one was just a reacquaintance round and beloved memories came back almost instantly. Race itself was the normal appetizer dish.

2) The Silvia Sisters - Nissan Silvia Q's S13; 599PP on Sport Medium tires and SR20 engine-swapped: I already know this event is 600PP only in name but this time my trusty was fully dialed in and locked on target, this swap gives it a much-needed broader power curve making it a real track machine! The entire roster was packed full of tuned cars, and it was a very tightly packed race the whole time, also the ai was more aggressive this time, not entirely Sophy-like but more aggressive than usual, love it! The win came after a half lap 3-way battle for the lead which was the highlight of the event!

3) European FR Challenge 550 - Abarth 1500 Biposto Bertone '52; 549PP on Sport Medium tires: Went with this classic beauty to let it stretch its legs and didn't disappoint, the view from cockpit is amazing and sounds cool too. This race was easy and the 5 lap requirement made it felt longer somehow. The race itself went without any drama or surprises so nothing much to add except it is such an underrated car for these low to mid PP races.

4) WTC 800 - Ferrari 296 GT3 '23; 775PP on Racing Hard tires: This was the third attempt. Went in blindly with both the car and the track (as I've never driven it before nor completely seeing it too), so first time was to know the track and the car. This car absolutely is gorgeous but looooooove to let its rear end go loose whenever it can! Also has a fairly open view from the cockpit compared to other GT3 cars which helped make out apexes and track limits. The track itself felt weird to me but still went in. Predictably finished 11th first try and with a stop for tires! Second round went better but still the stock RM tires didn't last enough for me and finished 5th. So went for a stiffer suspension, full aero front and rear, minimum ride height, widened the gear ratios and changed to Racing Hards for the third try. This time the track was easier to anticipate and the car was less prone to loose its rear end. And man did this car came alive for me!!! Slowly but steady began to climb positions, by sixth lap was 19 seconds behind the leader, still more than half tire thread available and pushed arder and harder! By the end of lap seven caught Inostroza (which has become my nemesis sort of lol) and passed him before the twisting section right at the pit entry, then I got Urra as my final target, him in his RX Vision trying to stay ahead. On the back straight I went almost into the rev limiter in fifth because the car was still pulling as to not lose momentum, got him beggining lap 9 and then pushed harder not minding tire life and won by 10 seconds! My times were all between 1:58 and 1:55 so I may not be such a tire saver as others before me hahaha but I definitely loved this one!

Now to find time to learn these 2 new tracks and start the Power Pack path, it'll be a very busy week indeed!!

Thank you!

I have always struggled with the Silvia Sisters races, sometimes I have had to go through each car to try and win, but I have just started to use a wheel/pedals and also switched to manual gears, so trying this race last night with a 700pp Silvia I had wasn't going very well at all
Hmm, strange... I can take whatever Silvia I want at 700pp and get 1st after 1 lap - in normal difficulty. Is hard that much harder?

I gave these all a second go-around in my main account. Hard difficulty except for the one at Yas Marina, in which I lowered it to Normal.

Easy wins for the first three.

The Corvette mission was another P2. Fine. Whatever.

The last race was tougher -- I'm still frustratingly slow at Yas Marina -- but I managed to eke out a win there too (normal difficulty). Unlike the Aston Martin, whose FR drivetrain causes the front tires to burn out way faster than the back, the Renault's MR wears the tires more evenly, making a no-stop on RMs doable.

There's so much to say and talk about after this wonderful upgrade ... and so much more to do and test and try out !

So don't take it amiss I keep things short and return to the game soon. ;) Just one general comment regarding the new tracks :
They're great. Really. Receiving new cars is fine and cool but receiving new tracks, that's special. I wasn't sure about Yas Marina - one of these modern Tilke tracks you know  - whether it can be fun but it can, it grew on me quickly and I'm almost at home there already. Circuit Gilles Villeneuve is a tough one and will take many many more laps on my side but I'm sure it'll be super satisfying once I'll get this right. Fantastic ...

Now the weekly challenges. If you wonder why I didn't use all the new cars that's been just sentiment. When re structuring my garage I came across all my early cars I had bought and used to complete the core game ... and used them again for the nostalgia. Ok, here we go :

Race 1 - Honda Integra Type R '98 / 449,15 PP / ✅

Race 2 - Silvia spec-R Aero '02 / 599,85 PP / ✅

Race 4 - Chevrolet Corvette VGT '25 / 931,55 PP / ✅

Race 5 - Chaparral 2J '70 / 799,70 PP / ✅

Now, there's some time trialing ahead and I'm really looking forward to it ! Eiger Nordwand reverse anyone ?

The FTO holds a special place in my heart. The original Gran Turismo made me buy this car in real life. I fell in love with the FTO in 1997 and eventually bought a 1994 FTO irl with a GPX bumper swap, suspension mods, and a louder muffler.

I’ve since sold the real car, but I missed driving it. So, I took the Version R in GT7 and de-tuned it to match my old car's exact specs. The resemblance is uncanny. It handles, looks, and sounds just like the one I used to own.

So this is a tribute race to my old FTO.

De-tune Settings:

Power Restrictor - 81
Suspension - Height-Adjustable Sports
Body Height Adjustment - Front [100] Rear [100]
Silencer - Sports
Tires - Comfort Hard

369.58 PP

Super late (been battling some less then steller issues), but my choices from thursday night. Video to follow at 1:00 PM today.

Japanese FF Challenge 450: Mitsubishi FTO GP Version R. Very incredible to drive, might've just overtaken the Honda Integra in my eyes.
Silvia Sisters: Nissan Silvia Q's (S15). Same tune as I did last time, same result.
European Challenge FR 550: BMW M3 '97. Got the job done pretty quick.
World Touring Car 800: Audi R8 LMS Evo. This was a tough one to attempt as the Ferrari are pretty mcuh uncatchable should they start top 5. Also, didn't think I'd love one of the R8 GT3 cars after GT Sport, but that is how I feel after all these attempts.
Special Event: Quite the interesting change up to the format, kinda like it as there's an extra incentive to tune in. Leaderboard also encourages multiple tries so It gets a thumbs up from me 👍

Glad to see I'm not the only one blatantly ignoring the PP recommendation for the Silvia Sisters. When I ran this for the first time, I actually ran a 500 point car. The whole field went by me on the front straight. I usually try to honor the PP rec, but not for this one...
Did the same mistake 😅 even used a 492PP Silvia, oops ! bad idea... that golden Silvia is a missile (in the straights)

I watch my astrology star today just in case to try again the Vette mission for first place .

What i get in result ?

I too got 2P in this challenge...will not try for 1p...
Don’t forget the Overtake-button! Makes it less hard at least. I won with 0.01 seconds to spare! Pretty close call…
Overtake?? I tried it and found it do go faster but I cannot control it as im all over the bloody track...

WTC800 at Yas Marina.
I have never raced on this until today and was not going to take chances so i brought the Audi RS5 DTM to do the heavy work. Halfway in race it was me and the Lexus and I followed him just to learn the track better by playing follow the leader, by lap 8 I passed him and never looked back.
Yas Marina is a lovely racing track that I need to learn better as I kept making mistakes at that tight chicane at end of long straight and the right hand turn just before pit entrance because I see that extension road off to the left distracting...
