After being sidetracked by The Game Awards, here are my choices from last night.

European Sunday Cup 400: Puegeot 205 GTi. Complete domination from the French Menace (Abit like the VGAs last night)
World Rally Challenge Gr.B: Ford Focus GR.B. The Rockstar Focus is back and doing its thing.
Lightweight K Cup: Honda N-One RS. Decided to give this a go and boy does it glide through the first sector even more then the S660
Super Formula: Dallara SF23 Honda. Track feels low grip for some reason, taking the curbing itself gets abit tricky and this is in a car that is usually very grippy.
Ferrari 296 One-Make: Two important words I want to impart is "Brake Early". Its fast but that Hybrid unit makes it a chonky horse to stop (and it might give you a Charlie horse trying to do so)

I did CGV at easy level .....

RM tyres and laps at 27's-26's as @ROCKET JOE . Didn't need to "cut " or shorten the track .
Of course i forget that race existence right after as i did with Barcelona.
Two out of five with an X ,so not much left to enjoy this week and i hate to chase Fraga at night.

The Super Formula event as CGV is a tricky one.

Seems to be strategy is doing the race on RH without stopping. Fuel mix 3 after a few laps on fuel mix 4.

I'm finding setting the traction control higher to help with tyre wear. I guess I should move the brake bias forward too...
I tried the no stopper but tires died on lap 14. I was way off the pace anyways. Only managed average laps of 1.27 with a single .26 in between. I guess with practice this could be doable on hard difficulty but I am not as motivated as I used to be to git gud like that and may just get it over with on normal.

The best I could manage at CGV is 3rd using two stops on RM, I was 23sec off the leader.

The rally-cross isn't possible, I didn't like it on the controller but now with my wheel it's impossible.

Personally, I find the most engaging way to improve, whether it's learning a new track or shaving time off an old one, is simply to race. I find Time Trials become monotonous very quickly, so I prefer to race repeatedly until I find my rhythm.

Driving the stock Ferrari 296 GTB at Circuit Gilles-Villeneuve was a perfect example of this challenge. The car is incredibly powerful, perhaps too much so for the standard tires provided. It took a lot of slipping, sliding, and patience before I gained enough throttle control to keep it planted.

Anyone have any tips for the rally-cross, I wasn't very good with the game-pad but could do it, but now I have a wheel (last week) I am struggling

From the Power Pack can you use the Porsche 911 Turbo Rally (930)? is that any good, or the Beetle 1966 Desert Racer slow and steady?? I don't have these yet but it says they are rally cars so are they GR.B?

I don’t believe the PP cars are Gr. B. They are labeled as Racing Cars, which means you can’t use them anywhere in the SP races. I could be wrong though, I’m nowhere near my console to check. The Porsche is quite fun, but not close in performance to the other Group B cars.

You're wrong only about being wrong. Otherwise you're right.

I think perhaps I could have phrased that less confusingly.

Transition from controller to wheel takes time.

Took me a year of countless hours of practice.

For the rally cross, you brake hard, turn early and accelerate. More torque should be on the rear. 40:60 is adequate enough.

A stock Gr.B car can do it on Hard difficulty.

Skipped the CGV race as I mentioned before. Not dropping down to Easy fo this one. Not worth it.
Anyway.....
296 race I had to do in a lightly modded one. I tried it yesterday in a stock car and it was a handful on a controller and auto. This one was a 7 second win.
Gr.B in the same car I've won this and other rally races, my trusty Dirtfish WRX. After I passed Valerio it was over. As always, it was a demolition derby.
I've won Tokyo before in a Copen but decided to use one of my S660's. I was dominated by Igor with a 6 second gap. I'll take the 2nd place.
With Goodwood I wanted to drive a Panda for the first time. Had this one with 125hp but it wasn't enough on the straights. Only 3rd. So I took a stock Mercedes EVO on SS for something in the 470pp range. Good race v the Megane. Won by just over a second.
I seem to have misplaced my pics so if I find them, I'll post them. :banghead:

That's not really serious. First time on the track and with this car, even with loosing it three times, I managed to win with a good margin on Normal difficulty. You can do better 😁

For sure i can, since at easy level i lap all the field with enough errors.
I just don't like that type of cars cause they are too fast for me and the older ones are way twichy .
Just wanted to get it done for the ticket.
In general all 900+ pp races are out of my preferences, am just doing them in cases i have to.

I won manufacturers cup with the new B type formula and cut 4-5 times to ensure that i get the 500k using TC at 5!!!!!!!🤣
How can i enjoy that ?
At least this one was way easier but still, i don't like them .

None of those PP cars are eligible. Only the Gr.B class cars are allowed to be used.

I did it! Hard difficulty, RH Tyres, TC set to 2, BB -5, FM set to 4 and then 3 after a few laps.

Lap times were in the 26 and 27s, I had a 2 second lead heading into the final chicane, with a sliver of tread left on my left rear tyre. Ran out of fuel and coasted the length of the start/finish straight. I ought to have done some lift and coast or more laps on FM4, but I got the win.

I had my gear ratios set to 350 as any shorter was using too much fuel, used my overtake coming on to the back straight, letting go just after hitting 5th gear.

Hope that helps those who are struggling.

What strategy are people using for the SF CVG race?
I went with a one stop and RM I used max fuel so had to put in some fuel as well, I finished 3rd and was 23sec from the leader.
I did wonder about running RM's to about lap ten then switching to RS?

I did it with one stop RM and won easily - difficulty set to normal , shortshift and brake ballance to the rear or front not sure now xD
