This week's cars:
296 Special-Like others have said, it should've been shorter, like 5 laps. Not fun. And I'm not a fan of the bone stock 296 so I used my mildly modded one. Easy win.
WTC800-Used a car I haven't driven for this race (and keeping with the 296 theme), the 296 in TayTay livery. lol Easy win by about 25 seconds even running out of fuel in the last 100m.
Euro600-Used my M2 at 597pp on RH. Of course as always,Valerio was a pain. On the last lap,as I was trying to catch up to Beauvois in 1st, he rammed my ass in the tunnel. Thanks for the bumpdraft. Overtook Beauvois about 2 turns from the finish and just won it.
WTC600-Hyundai Elantra N had a good time here and beat the Porsche by a couple of ticks.
Sunday Cup-I just wanted to get this boring race over with so used a car I've never driven, my Chiron.
Won an F3500 with the ticket and adding it to my F3500 stable.

Definately a let down that they don't even give us more then one slot with the Mission Challenges or Time Trails, Just one slot that rotates between the unique race combos and those two. Was interested in a much bigger shakeup then this.
Yeah I'm really disappointed in what we've been getting... Not only few of the unique events we were promised, but come on, this is the same combo that most people did the Ferrari Circuit Challenge on Yas Marina with, just longer :/ They really can't do any better than this?

Yeah.
That was not the best weekly events selections.
But at least the prize sets are nice for me.
I won 1 million credits on 6 stars ticket and more 300k adding the other two credit tickets, without counting the event rewards.

An interesting selection of events this week. All completed on hard difficulty, but some took more attempts than others to get the win…
I present, my lean, mean, green, sub 1000kg, dream team (excluding the 296, obvs)!

Sunday Cup: Mazda Eunos/Miata/MX-5 ‘89 - Stock +16kg of ballast. Simple event, simple to win.
European clubman cup 600: Radical SR3 - upgraded with V8 engine swap and other racing bits to SR8 spec, SM tyres. The first of 2 tricky events, initially I tried the heavy and powerful route, using a stock Aston DB11 but with no success. Next I tried my race spec 930 Turbo, again with only a podium to show for it. Finally I thought of using a track car, and my SR8 did me proud. Getting past Gallo in the dreaded Giulia on lap 3, as we both cut through the pack, I was then able to hunt down and pass the leaders with relatively ease, but it had taken a few goes to get there.
World Touring Car 600: Porsche GTS (904) ‘64. High RPM turbo, ballast, SS tyres. Tried a number of tuned road cars, achieving 3rd place several times, before remembering what a speedy thing the 904 is. Made much better progress each lap, catching and passing the leaders halfway round the last lap.
Ferrari 296 Special Event: Not being a fan of Yas Marina, I slipped on some RM tyres and some aero, to get this over and done ASAP. Would’ve preferred it if it was a couple of laps shorter.
World Touring Car 800: Toyota GT-One. Ballast, power reduction, RH tyres. Having opted for lightweight options in the other three races where I could select my vehicle, I decided to continue the theme into race 5. The GT one seemed a reasonable choice, and easily sliced through the pack, especially with the AI drivers very timid handling of the ‘Chicane of Death’.

An entertaining week, all things considered. 6 star roulette spin yielding Cr.500,000.

Really feel like these new Weekly Challenges they showcased with Spec 3 is a load of baloney.

I was hoping for multiple special events a week, like their screenshot showed
It's quite silly, not least because many people will have already completed the events they lay out for us from World Circuits. I thought i would end up using the Weekly Challenges to cue me to finish up the races I hadn't done yet, but some of them are just never utilised.

And yes, it was misleading in the end. By now, they should have really made a significant shake-up of the whole arrangement.

My apologies for this week's challenges summary; due to unexpected last minute situations plus the arrival of my Playseat Challenge X it'll be only the pictures of the cars chosen, which were:

1) Sunday Cup - Fiat 500 '08; 399PP Sport Tires

2) European Cup 600 - Lancia Stratos '73; 599PP Sport tires

All won, Hard difficulty. Got 1 mil from the 6* ticket. Keep those pictures coming!

Went for an Italian theme but some where like bringing a gun to a knife fight.

Race 1 - Overkill

Race 2 - Overkill

Race 3 - Understeer with a WIP tune

Race 4 - stock boring race, in fact this car I think is terrible, looks like a blob. Modern supercars are just bad…

Race 5 - easy win with a one stop

"Hermann" made mincemeat of the Chicane of Death.

Fuel Map 1, Medium tires, short shift at 6.5k rpm along with lift and coast method.

Pit in at lap 6, refuel, and change to Softs.

No power upgrades.

Got myself a new toy. An upgrade...

488 GT3 add on wheel for my T598. And after updating its firmware and ironing out the kinks, I immediately did an experiment with the 296 GT3 "Hermann"

Same fuel, tire and pit strategy as my quoted post. But the result?

And oh... this was just my first try on it. Still gotta get used to the new wheel rim. I am already loving it.

What was wrong with YAS Marina and Ferrari? Do they have ice on the road surface there? Not the first time YAS has some slippery turns but it looks like something wrong wit the physics.

Like most of the Ferraris in the game they have too much power for the tires they come with (usually Sports Hard) so without careful throttle control it can feel like an ice rink on most tracks.

Yas Marina has numerous corners where you're actually turning over a hill. When you're at the highest point of the hill the car is much less planted on the ground so finding traction while also turning can be difficult.

So i don't think there's anything wrong with the physics. I think this car and track combo make it a volatile concoction.

It has 800+ hp and it's on SH tyres, you have to be progressive with it. Just put the traction control on 1 and it'll be much easier to drive, probably reasonably accurate to one of the modes the real car offers anyway.

296 is too heavy and powerful for the tires it came with.

Best if it is equipped with Sport Mediums or softs.

The track's unique surface actually makes best use of the tire grip, albeit at the cost of increased wear.

The 600 po race at Interlagos is kinda crazy I had go through a couple cars and tire combos. I started with a swapped Escort but the comfort hates were terrible. Switched to an MR2 with comfort softs but they were bad to. I was to get Sports Hards and that worked but the with the time gap all I could do was 3rd. I didn't have enough power on the straights
