Sleepy ol' me forgot to change the in-wheel settings. I was using the settings for F1 25. Still works like a charm!

Wanted to tune up a KPGC110 to drive something interesting for the GTR event and it turns out that thing makes for a bit of a monster.

Ended up at 650pp on Racing Hards and it pulls 743hp on a 889kg body.
I usually run a fair bit under the pp limits anyway but at 50pp below limit it still certainly outperforms itself.

And it spits flames!

Right at the start my car changes down a gear into 4th!

I am using manual gears, so as soon as I pass the start line the car changes down from 5th to 4th and I have to try and change back up as fast as possible, sometimes I get it bang on and other times I don't which ruins the timed section, what am I doing wrong?

That's odd. As seen in the video, no such changes happen. Were you using a controller, like a shift down button jammed or something?

If it's a wheel, then maybe one of the paddle shifters need fixing.

The thing is, as he's said himself, tunes aren't a magic bullet and surely enough there's no magic in that setup from what I can see. Nothing out of the ordinary, no minuscule adjustments like tenths of camber or hundredths of toe, just a well made setup to adjust the handling to a personal driving style. And I can already tell it wouldn't suit mine which underlines what the few of us have been saying for a while now, there isn't a setup that works perfectly for everyone. Much less on every track or even everywhere on a single track, it's always a compromise.

And might I add, tuning is also a constant deed of fixing. There will always be something off then adjust as needed, then another... it's an endless cycle.


I don't mind sharing tunes, but I waive responsibility should there be any... catastrophe that takes place. Like a nuclear explosion, perhaps.

Started with the WTC which I've won a few years back but have recent difficulty whenever it appears in the weeklies. Thought I'd go with my 787B with a no-stopper. That was a mistake. With high FM I was a bit off pace from Kawakami and his NISMO. It took me to lap 9 to overtake him and hold on for a bit under a second gap at the finish.
GTR race was in a car I used the last time we had this race, Unisia JECS R32. Easy win.
Special TT was not my thing and not gonna bother for Gold. Silver was good enough.
Interlagos was in the C5 I last won this. 735pp with a 35 second win.
I picked a car I haven't used in awhile for Alsace. One of my Swifts. Just a bit over the suggested pp so it was fun for awhile. Won by 11 seconds.

I agree 100% with you ,but the case wasn't about the tune .
It's about @RCKakashi14 who says :

Lately that change ( a bit ) and since Audi DTM is one of his favourite " mules " ,was really a surprise.
And since world remains the same and nothing changed dramatically,only one explanation remains.

Not my favourite selection of events this week, but there were some enjoyable moments, none the less. All completed on hard difficulty at the first attempt, with the exception of the special event.
Japanese FF Challenge 450: Mitsubishi FTO - Stock, plus a little ballast, to get under the PP limit. Pretty uneventful, except for the turn over the brow!
American Clubman Cup 700: Pontiac Firebird Trans-Am - LS9 engine swap, full race upgrades, RM tyres. Once I recalibrated my right foot to ‘ultra sensitive’, this was great fun to drive, and an easy win.
Mazda Spirit Racing 12R Special Event: The middle section took a while to unlock, but Gold was achieved.
Nissan GT-R Cup: Nissan R34 GT-R V-Spec II Nur ‘02 - Full Race spec, SS Tyres. Not being a Tokyo regular, I expected to struggle with this event, but I needn’t have worried. With the gearbox tweaked for the loooong straight, I was able reach P1 by L2 T1.
World Touring Car 900: Mazda LM55 - detuned, RH tyres. While I’m slowly learning to appreciate Trial Mountain, this was about getting the job done. FM3 and 1 stop ensured an easy win.

It didn't do it today, it just stayed in 5th gear at the start.

I went with a stock Garage RCR Civic for the American Clubman Cup 700 race. Such a fun car to drive. Getting to front is doable, but doing it clean is the bigger challenge. Some very aggressive AI divebombs in this one.

This has happened to me on multiple occasions. It's even more difficult when you have the HUD off as the beep sound when you cross the start line is muted as well so you are always unsure when to time the gear change correctly.

Its a glitch in the game. The only resolution I have found is to exit the race completely and re-enter. Or restart the game entirely. It doesn't correct the starting gear selection all the time but every now and then it works.

Is there anything 'interesting' you can use to win the WTC900 events? There's a ton of road cars that can be tuned up to beat WTC800 but I've yet to find anything that can compete in the 900s.

Seems more or less like you use a Gr.2 or tune down and that's about all the options that are open to you. I had a go with a tuned up 992 GT3 but it has no chance.

Finished it off with the TS020, nothing special but a fun car to drive regardless. It's a very easy win on Trial Mountain in equal machinery, the AI are hopeless here.

Valkyrie is about the only road car that can do it although one exception I found was the 812 Superfast can win at Le Mans if it's fully tuned on RH. Otherwise the '08 GT500 cars are a real challenge if not almost impossible for some races given how much slower they are if you use them at stock power.

Well, you have to contend with cars with exceptionally high downforce so even the slow AI will have an edge should you use a lower class car.

Will always be an issue if PD sticks to the "chase-the-rabbit" style.
